How traumatized was the human in Desperation Vs Domestication when they were nommed for the very first time?
Oh, SO traumatized. A little hint of backstory for you, but when they were with the Decepticons who first took them from Earth, this sort of thing never happened. The Decepticons were never interested in tasting them, just keeping them as a pet because duh, humans look cute. I’d like to think that the idea of eating humans is relatively new, and it’s something that’s started purely within the Autobot ranks-kind of ironic for the heroes to come up with the idea, isn’t it? And though Drift has never meant the human any harm, I can assure you that the first time he ever swallowed them down was a terrible experience for both of them. It ended with the human screaming and sobbing their head off and Drift being panicked because he has no clue what’s going on to make the human this scared. He’s just trying to show them that he’s safe! His tank would never hurt them! But obviously the poor human doesn’t know that.
It got better as time went on as the human came to realize Drift’s intentions, but it was a very rocky beginning.

I will forever think about what could've happened if Drift actually managed to catch the human before they successfully escaped, the way you wrote the stakes and the tension of the situation overall was phenomenal! just the human escaping and giving a sense of relief to whomever is reading but also showcasing the emotional aspect, That Drift does care but he doesn't see the human as equal nor treat them as such, its just so good!
WAAAAGH THANK YOU ANON!!! I really wanted to write the idea of escaping and almost being caught well, so I'm happy I did a good job with that! The story is meant to be emotional, with the reader knowing that Drift cares about them, but that they also can't stay with him due to the loss of autonomy they've experienced. This is so epic to hear that I wrote the emotional aspect of the story in a good way! Thank you again!!! :D

If they somehow got over the communication/language barrier (as well as the fear of being found by Drift), would the reader choose to give Drift a second chance? 😳🤔 or have to choice to do so? I'd run the fuck away from him as fast as I can if this happened to me, not gonna lie- but I'm sure a desperate and hopefully guilty robot would make that hard to do lmfao
ALSO HIII I LOVE YOUR STORIES THEY MAKE ME SMILE SMILE SMILE
HI CHAMELANON ITS SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!! I'm so happy my stories make you smile, thank you so much for the support!!!
Hmm, these are spoilers, so I can't answer the question in full detail. However I can say that if Drift finds you, he's going to be extremely guilty. I don't think he's going to expect your forgiveness-he's hurt you, and your understandably terrified of him. He'd never expect forgiveness for how he's treated you-but he wants you to know how sorry he is, and would try to convey that. Whether you end up giving him a second chance or running the fuck away is up to you.
I'd probably end up giving him a second chance because my heart would be so moved and I wouldn't be able to forget how well he treated me when I was with him. Would I go back to the Lost Light with him though? Absolutely not.

I love when Drift picks up his Little One, and nuzzles his nose into their torso bc it's such a cute image. He's such a big cat sometimes it's adorable. :)
I imagine it would tickle to have him do that, and then laugh or purr. The vibrations of his laughter rumbling through his nose, and shakes the little human in his hands.
GOD ANON I LOVE IT WHEN HE DOES THAT TOO! I like writing Transformers to have some animalistic qualities to them. Including the vocalizations like purrs, growls, and chuffs are some of my favorite things to write. You are on point with the big cat thing; I write them to be best compared to big cats.
Drift is a very affectionate bot. He may not show it in public often with other Cybertronians, but with you? Oh, he's all over you. He loves holding his little one and showing how much he adores them through physical touch. He LOVES making you laugh, and if his purrs make you giggle, he's going to chuckle lovingly and keep at it, nuzzling you more and feeling the way his purrs make you vibrate. The happier he is, the louder they are, and you know he's at his happiest when he has you to dote over.
So yeah, if you take anything away from my writing, take away that Cybertronians are just big cats from space LOL.

I wonder what is going on in Drift's mind before he finds me since he now knows I'm sentient. Will he do a bit of research on some of Earth's culture when he gets to the planet? He'll probably learn just enough english to communicate.
Much of the answers to these are unfortunately spoilers for part 3, so I can't say much! I will say however that Drift is absolutely devastated. He now knows you are fully self aware and he's basically been keeping a sapient creature as a pet. Not only that, but many of his Autobot comrades are too. It really makes him second guess himself about how much he has changed since his days as a Decepticon, and if the Autobots are maybe not as different from the enemy faction as he previously thought. I'd say losing you has caused him to lose faith in his own species.

Please just answer this question. Did Drift have a nervous breakdown after we left and kill someone, disrupt his duties, try to kill himself, or do anything else?
I don’t think Drift would end up hurting himself or anyone else. He’s not the type to blow his casket anymore; yes, I like to think he retains a level of temper from his Deadlock days, but he’s in a much better place now, and he’s learned to control himself. He blames himself for you wanting to leave and he knows he’s fucked up. If anything, he’s just going to fall into a deeper level of depression than he already was experiencing (because I do think Drift carries a deep feeling of depression within him due to his past).

Once Drift shows up, there'll likely be visible indication that I tried to cut the collar off, maybe abrasions on the collar and/or my neck.
He will certainly take notice of it.
Oh yeah, he knows you’ve been trying to take it off since it’s been your immediate reaction to it ever since he first put it on you. With how you’ve been trying to get it off though, there are bound to be scuff marks all over it. It’ll just concern him even further than he’s already been.

What do you think would happen if Drift managed to get inside the escape pod before the human escaped? Would he try and coax them over to him or just grab them in worry?
He'd probably immediately grab them. He's panicking, they're panicking, he can feel their panic, and he doesn't know how to make it better, and he KNOWS he can't let them get away or he'll never see them again. So yeah, the human is being grabbed and whisked back to Drift's room. After that, he'd try comforting them, holding them close and trying to calm them down to the best of his ability. But no way is he letting the human out of his sight for a good while. Not until he can assure himself they'll never try a stunt like that again.

OKOK IMAGINE A HUMAN WHO REALLY MISSES THEIR HOME BACK ON EARTH and they are experiencing a slight sort of dissonance and MAJOR HOMESICKNESS, but that's besides the point, What if they used whatever they had to create arts n crafts (like dioramas) of forests or cities, maybe even towns they used to live in desperately trying to cope with the fact that they are trapped and they are so sure that they can never see their home again. Over time the human makes it a habit to distance themselves away from the bot that adopted them to go to specific hiding places and just mourn over their home. There are times where they just constantly make so many damn crafts depicting earth that it racks up, getting so bad they start hoarding it. Getting really protective over the last known remnant they have of Earth. The last known remnant of Home
(Bonus if they tried escaping a shit ton of times, only to be caught all those times)
HRRRRRRGH THIS IS SO HEARTBREAKING ANON I LOVE IT
The human just hides away in a place where they know their bot can't get to them. Spending hours tinkering away, creating elaborate, messy dioramas of forests and towns and cities and the ocean and the sky. At first the bot was delighted by this because the human was doing more than just moping depressingly. They thought catering to the human's creativity would help them perk up and grow a little more accepting of their new home. But it only makes it worse. No longer will their little one accept the mech's attention. They just want to be alone and continue trying to rebuild what they so desperately miss. Any attempt to remove the human from their hiding spot or remove their crafts is met with instant rebuke, with the human snarling and slapping the mech's fingers away. The bot doesn't know what to do and the human just wants to be left alone.

Okay so I’ve been wondering…is the collar like, padded? Or are we doomed to uncomfortable chaffing on top of everything else?
Oh don't worry, Drift would never make you wear something uncomfortable lol. He specially had the collar designed to fit you well, and it is perfectly padded on the inside so it just rubs harmlessly against your skin. Though it is bothersome to know its there, it would be quite easy for you to forget about it with time. To anyone else looking, it might as well just be a strange looking choker.

Hhhmmmmm Do you think Drift's Little One's nightmare will come true?
(With certain modifications of course. Like the addition of the collar, Drift being unwilling to nom them now that he knows they're sentient, etc)
Maybe the ground shakes around them, but they don't see Drift at first. So they reluctantly relax back onto the grass believing it to be a minor earthquake. And then their collar begins to shriek, with the ground beginning to shake again in response. Closer this time. Until a hauntingly familiar shape blocks out the sun.
OOOOOO that would be so good! They're just relaxing in a little slice of wilderness, all by themselves, enjoying the way the sun feels on their skin and reveling in the fact that they are finally home. When all of a sudden the ground begins to rhythmically shake, and their collar starts to urgently beep. Their poor heart drops down into their stomach, because no, it can't be. Drift isn't here, he's so far away. And when the familiar shadow casts over them and they look up into a twin pair of bright blue optics, the first thing they want to do is pinch themself; no way can this be anything but a dream.
Meanwhile Drift just wants to collapse with relief to see that his little one isn't dead lol.

I got the urge to write more drabbles, this time I have continued when orion shows d16 to the human:
D16 didn't understand why orion always disappeared when he least expected it, in fact it had surprised him that he had found an unknown ship, he was going to know more about the communication but it was cut off.
It was his problem, he said to himself, but he still went to look for him.
-Orion, what are you doing? We have already been told that this area is dangerous," said d16 as he saw that he was carrying something in his servos.
D16 stood with his optics wide open to see what that thing was.... It looked like a smaller cybertronian, no... it was different organically...
-In the name of Primus! What is that? - shouted D16 scaring that little thing that had covered what looked like its head.
- I found it in one of the crashed ships, there was never anything like it. It's like a version of us, it's like an alien," said Orion stroking the head of that being.
-You've gone crazy! It could be poisonous! - said D16 as orion handed it to him in his servos.
-It looks kind of hostile to you?" said Orion as D16 took a closer look.
Actually it didn't, D16 noticed its tremors and something in its eyes.... Maybe it felt threatened? No, it was scared... He lifted his digit to try to touch what seemed to be its face but it was resisting a lot. Until he had contact and moved the servo carefully, making the sensation calm the creature.
-Careful, it's delicate before it gave a squeak... when I lifted it off the ground," said Orion.
D16 had never held anything like this in his life, unlike metal it was a nice touch.
- We should leave it where it was," said D16.
Orion denied - its ship is destroyed... it's technology I don't know. But it looks like this little is trapped here," said Orion.
D16 looked again at that little being, being in this area he wouldn't survive.... In an unknown world, alone...
-We can take care of it... until we have more information about it. But don't let anyone else know," said D16 while Orion smiled.
-I knew you'd grow fond of it," Orion said as he looked down at the little boy who seemed to be calm in D16's servos.
Maybe having it among them wouldn't be so bad.

Enclosure Encounter
[Transformers Reversed First Contact AU. Your encounter with an unspecified bot held in an enclosure] Word count: 725 ------------------------------------------------------------- To not be heard. Imagine talking to someone and they don’t know that you were talking to them. Do you ever remember being distressed? Something had happened, your stress evident in the most readable wide eyes you have ever seen. Your movement hasty and you raise your voice to beg the person in front of you to do something. But the release of acknowledgement never came. Devoid of any reaction to your voice. Your distress was invisible to the person next to you. You were the unreadable one…
Looking at the light of the enclosure reflecting off the red railing in front of you. You watch your fist’s grip tighten around the railing from the memory. The metal to skin contact made an odd creaking noise that peaked above the catting crowd. The hums of accidental bumps and kids impatiently slapping the railing buzzing through your hands. The sight of the bot’s far off gaze and spent form returned that unpleasant memory. Clearly your mind is still hung up on something.
The early morning visit to this natural history museum exhibit was meant to be a last minute decision. But you had no clue that you'd got the luck of turning up here during feeding time.
A grinding noise was heard as the bot finally noticed its tray of mini pink energon cubes. It sat beside the tray. The whole set up having the energy of a regular person sitting at a cafe. Eating from a raised blocky table and sat on a cube for chair. The bot avoiding eye contact from all angles.
The bot began to slow its chewing. And looked in your general direction. “It’s going to freak out.” Murmured one voice. “Do you think it’s going to snap at us?” Another. There was excitement when the chewing stopped entirely. Energon crumbs on its face. The sight causing you to reach for your phone. *Click*
You glance at your phone screen before returning it to your bag. The bot’s optics dead centre with the lens of your camera. You felt the buzz of the crowd skip.
The lone bot that had its back against the corner of the enclosure got up and was walking towards your direction. “Is the glass capable to hold a bot like that back?” The thought whipped by. “There must be something more interesting to it behind me. It couldn’t have been because of me-.”
The bot sat down beside the glass. Closer than ever before. You stuck to your spot. As others stepped back. The bot had its tray of energon with it. And proceeded to break a pink chunk off and leave the share in front of you. “He’s sharing his food with me?”
Looking over the pink shimmer of the crumb of energon through the glass. And looking back up to the face of a bot taking their time calmly snacking next to you. You can’t help but let a smile slip. Before impulsively putting a hand over your mouth from the shock. Optics — giving you a wide eyed response. Puffing a sharp exhale. You grab something from your bag. Pulling out a chocolate bar, you break a row and place it on the small ledge outside of the enclosure glass. Then breaking a second row for yourself. The bot’s language as it leaned closer telling you it was intensely interested in what you were doing. With it flashing a smile back as it saw your acceptance of the gift and the gesture of giving something back in your own strange way.
They managed to find a way to socialise with one another. But with both sides finishing their last portions. You felt another tug as the bot relaxed leaning to the side you stood. With its regular glancing making sure you were still there next to him. You had to go now. Turning your back to the bot. The light of your familiarity guided his eyes through the crowd. And you left.
The two gifts, unable to be taken by either side of today’s wonderful exchange. Stayed together long after you and the bot lost sight of one another. As you gave that last, shy and real goodbye wave to the bot. Your hand seen above all else. Followed by a foolish sensation, causing you to dive into the hallway of the next room.
