Sure! You know the concept of remixes in music? This is the same type of deal. Another author (usually) has taken the original fic and "remixed" it. So for the square you would read and comment on two fics - the original and the remixed one. That's why it counts for two squares!

About This Event

You know when you leave a really long comment on a fic? Something that makes you go 'oh man if only I could bring this energy to my regular deadlines', but you just gotta tell someone how awesome their work is? What if we had a whole day celebrating that?

What is this event? Comment Day is a celebration of leaving comments on beloved fic, both to tell the author what their work means to you, and to appreciate reflecting on the parts of a work you enjoy! We all pick a fic (or maybe several fics, if you wanna go hard) that is our favourite, and work on a really detailed, fun, personalized comment, and on Comment Day we all go out and leave someone a comment that will make their day.

This blog will have tips and tricks about crafting a good comment, polls and graphics collecting stats for the event and a general celebration about how fun leaving comments can be. You don't normally get to tell the creator how awesome their work is with things like books or movies, we get to do that with fic, and isn't that fantastic?

Chinese Actor RPF | Bai Yu/Liu Yuning/Zhou Keyu

It's the last night they'll spend together before they all have to leave, and Zhou Keyu wants to spend as much of it as he can with Bai-ge and Ning-ge.

i'm a very recent watcher of kaitui (the truth | 开始推理吧), and to be honest i started watching it for zhou shen; having bai yu and liu yuning in there was entirely secondary, and i didn't know even zhou keyu at first. but i've really liked some of tinypinkmouse's guardian fic, and the fic tags compelled me, hahaha. i'm glad i gave this one a try!

this is a lovely fic full of sleepy and tender cuddling, and not wanting to leave the people you love. it's sweet until it's suddenly very hot! i was really sold on the interactions between zhou keyu, bai yu, and liu yuning. this fic is a wonderful translation of their in-show dynamics to porn, hehe. and, from a purely technical perspective, this fic has really really great pronoun handling. there are three whole men in here doing a variety of activities, and at no point did i have to go "wait whose body part are we talking about here?" a+ !!

I'm gonna be playing commenting bingo (inspired mainly by @nomorezerocomments, as well as @letsmakecommentingfun, @mcyt-commenting-club, and similar blogs) to get me commenting more. ~* I definitely known now that Dimension Travel is not my genre, but the author wrote it good enough to make me finish the fic, when normally I drop ones I’m not super into after a few chapters. Dimension Travel is an intriguing concept, but what follows it just makes me unable to read it, I just can’t when so much is different form canon. First and most likely last Dimension Travel fic I’ve read but I finished it and it really was rather interesting.

However if anyone here is into things like that, and largely divergent AU’s then it’s a great read! My only issue is the slight James bashing here, and ignoring his importance to Harry ( while putting Lily on the pedestal. Both parents were important to Harry ), and the sudden chapter changes from cracky/humorous to serious/dark. It tended to break the immersion for me.*~

I gave myself a month, I'm a quick reader, and the prompts led me to types of works I had not considered, like fanmixes and remixes, and to works I might not have found, like a character from a current fandom placed in the world of my first fandom, which I no longer read for Reasons. Finding a pairing I had never read, also tough! I have a weird rotation of characters, tropes, and fandoms that I made for myself, so combining those gave me even more of a challenge. I blacked out the card, and I had a lot of fun doing it. So much, that after I remembered the challenge to comment on each one (which I did!), I started making myself bingo cards based on various monthly writing-type prompts. I'm currently in the middle of AU-gust, and still having a blast. So thanks for helping me with a new and delightfully complicated nerdery twist.
