My pacemaker surgery went well! I'm home and recovering, being pampered by my partner & friends. I'm finally doing a bit of art (from bed) again while I listen to Ursula K Le Guin audiobooks.

Unexpected medical update: I found out my heart has been randomly stopping when I faint (heart block), and I'm getting a pacemaker next week! ❤️‍🩹

I worked my upcoming scars and cyborg parts into this self-portrait spread, based on pictures I took before I found out all this news. I've been bedbound with a severe ME/CFS flare since my hospital stay last week. I've been working very, very slowly. This is going to be a painting (most likely painted from bed!), but I wanted to share what I've got so far, as I don't know when I'll be able to complete it. Wish me luck with the procedure next Friday.
