“Wow. You’d think Hawkeye would be a better candidate.” He stuffed his hands into his pockets, humming and pursing his lips. “I kinda would like it if you stopped throwing gluten at my face. The world is trying to rid itself of its imaginary demonic attributes, didn’t you hear?”  The speedster stared at the other again, “So. Let’s ask the real questions here. Who the heck are you and Holy Shit doppelgängers are real?!”

For a second, Tate thought that everything was going to be okay. Everything was going to go back to normal, that him and Violet could be them again. That’s all he ever wanted, that’s all he ever needed.

Tate’s lips curled down into a frown, hearing her say ‘ I don’t forgive you ‘. The boy wouldn’t have even bothered to speak to Violet, unless if he was asking for forgiveness in the process. Normally, Tate would cut off the conversation by now, but he decided to try harder.
