It's really baffling to me how easy it is to repackage the same ideas in different language, to make an idea palatable to a different group of people. So much of therapy/wellness/growth/recovery culture is just repackaged personal responsibility. Its rooted in conservative talking points, but, because there is an acknowledgement of trauma and hardship, because its packaged in soft language, and leftist talking points, it becomes a deadly pill coated in peanut butter.
