Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines, and a machine no unnecessary parts. This requires not that the writer make all sentences short or avoid all detail and treat subjects only in outline, but that every word tell.

Totoro by Sasha Ritter and Armand Graham

New York based designer Sasha Ritter recently collaborated with Armand Graham of TIMBR on a collection of sustainable wood stools & low tables, named Totoro.

What we really like about this multi-use object and their collab, is that the works are sculpted out of a single piece of silver maple from upstate New York - which would ordinarily be turned into firewood or mulch - using a refurbished robot arm from the auto industry.
