"Never try to convey your idea to the audience. It is a thankless and senseless task. Show them life, and they’ll find within themselves the means to assess and appreciate it.” — Andrei Tarkovsky Photo: https://www.lomography.com/magazine/342421-celebrating-the-art-and-life-of-andrei-tarkovsky

Another Country

These golden fields open all the doors of life in you the stones and the bridge of a quiet evening
The dust falls Between you and I there is a language of foliage, of a breeze, of dreaming
This intimacy I carry in the beginning of your voice passing between the sounds here so gently where joy and pain are twins

Duerme. No temas la mirada errante. Duerme.
Sleep. Fear not the wandering gaze. Sleep. Neither the butterfly, nor the word, nor the furtive ray of the keyhole will harm you. Sleep. As my heart, so you my mirror. Garden where love awaits me. Fall asleep without a care, but awake, when the last kiss from my lips dies.

Like the arrow and the bow - natural systems rely on tension of opposite forces in order to activate them, to give them a form of perpetual motion

I think the work of peace is the most important work of humanity. I don't believe it is possible, without knowing the darkness inside of each one of us. We have to acknowledge that and take ownership of it, not deny it.
The Undiscovered Country

Science informs exploration, but it’s the endless inquiry, the curiosity that really fills our lives and defines us as a species. And no matter how far we go, our humanity is contained in each other, that’s the vision of Star Trek—that friendship, brotherhood, and communion is the light in the darkness. Even if we never answer a single question, or every answer we find only leads to more questions, does that really matter? The answers aren't ultimately what satisfies us, but the spirit of inquiry and the belonging between human beings that fills our minds and our hearts with life.

I think it is why questioning is so important, why it is living. We are questions. When we question, or when we experience puzzles, mysteries, curiosity, enigmas, it reaffirms our fundamental nature, the truth of ourselves.

I think in part that’s why the arts and humanities are appealing, because they respond to that need for self-knowledge; which is to know who I am, ultimately. Questions fulfill us in our minds and our lives, because the human mind is itself a question.

Impressionism makes the experience of seeing feel more momentary, fragmentary. Which in turn makes it feel more real. For life and our experience of living is a series of impressions, shifting from moment to moment.

“A painter, who finds no satisfaction in mere representation, however artistic, in his longing to express his inner life, cannot but envy the ease with which music, the most non-material of the arts today, achieves this end. He naturally seeks to apply the methods of music to his own art. And from this results that modern desire for rhythm in painting, for mathematical, abstract construction, for repeated notes of colour, for setting colour in motion.” ― Wassily Kandinsky Claude Monet, The Water Lilies (Les Nymphéas), 1920 - 1926

The shore of the night Photo: NASA, Dark Rift, 2012. "This overexposed photo shows just over half of the inward bulk of the Milky Way (including its centre). As in all real images from our Arm of the galaxy much is obscured by the Great Rift, dark dust clouds that span from Cygnus to Centaurus."

From where come the words in the moment we close our eyes eyelashes closed over a deep blue and everywhere the pulsation of silence The words sleep in our mouths the night you held so closely in your arms your thought of the search for the impatient spring under the leaves

December, always retraces the incarnate sleeper of the streets in search of something or someone.
Filled with sun, the scream returns on the wind with its vocabulary of father and absence.
Chimneys, comets and blues, the uncertain arms for a rainy day.
Escaping from a rough suburb, where every grayness fades with the serenity of pain.
Suddenly a body not yours to be your skin in the frost that dares and your heart in the quiet that breaks in Copyright © Emanuele Martinuzzi English Translation: Jessica Cerrato From the collection “Intarsi" https://www.robinedizioni.it/

frg. Los llanos, Federico Falco.
