At one point there was officially more film than food in my refrigerator. I鈥檝e never been prouder. Nowadays my stash is more spartan, but nevertheless eclectic. When was the last time you saw Konica Monochrome VX400?

Some of the film I have stocked up on. Hoping that Ferrania can come through with some 126. I'll have to move the BBQ Wings if they do.

I came home from work one day to a box on my doorstep from my friend Eric whom I hadn't seen in years.聽The words "Film: do NOT X-ray" were scrawled on the outside. Eric had asked if I would be interested in some medium format film that he didn't have a need for anymore, and if so then to just cover the shipping cost from Jackson Hole (he works on some amazing action sports films out there). Of course I said yes. When he told me he had more than 120 rolls I thought for sure that was a typo, surely he meant 12 rolls. Not 120. No way. This is what I found when I opened the box. I stopped counting at 125 rolls, and most of it is hard to find 220 film. In other news, I'm in the market for a spare refrigerator.

Refrigerator full of film.
Call me paranoid, but this is part of my preparation for the Film Apocalypse. I have stockpiled over a thousand feet of my beloved and essential Kodak Tri-X 400 and other films that I can鈥檛 do without like Velvia 50.
I have also bought up stocks of films that are either hard to find or already discontinued, especially Fujifilm Superia Reala 100 (over 70 rolls), Kodak P3200, 400VC, Fomapan R, NPZ, Neopan 1600, T64, and APS films, especially BW400CN.
I continue to look out for bargains and more of the best films that are no longer available whenever available, while cycling through films as they expire.
The best places to buy film in Hong Kong are Filme Home (Causeway Bay) and Dotwell (TST).
