you are worthy of being delighted in. god delights in you. the people around you delight in you. your presence brings others delight, even if you don’t think so, i promise you do.

you deserve to delight in every joy life gives you, and even through every hardship and every bad thing that happens to you and happens in the world, we may not fully understand why these things happen, but god is with us to delight in us and how we get through every trial and difficulty life gives us.

god delights in everyone. in you, even when you dont feel worthy of being delighted in, in the people (specifically marginalized people) who arent treated as if they deserve to be delighted in. god delights in them, and we should act the same.

(this was a little message from my neighbor who was recently ordained as a priest who gave this as his homily message today)

I think this is one of the most beautiful sentiments I've heard about God in awhile. I know in my heart that the hatred and harm that people arm themselves with against transgender people has never been part of God's word or Christianity of any kind. As God made more than one flower, more than one tree, more than a single weather, day and night and all the stars, we too are all so different and that diversity is His beautiful creation.
