Would not have been as excited for Mega Evolution if it wasn't the XY anime, I liked how they showed what would happen if the trainer and pokémon's bond wasn't strong enough but also the history and worldbuilding in the show
And the Origins mini series plus the Mega specials with Alain that was also super cool
#the first ep I ever saw was the one where korrina challenges ash to a battle and I remember thinking :o she's voiced by amy#and seeing the arc about her and lucario learning to be one and controlling the mega power was fun#younger me thought the mega evo concept was the coolest thing ever (current me still does)
