evolution: when a lot of stuff happens
Evolution is defined as:
Any change in the heritable traits within a population across generations.
Several theories popped up because of this and just like evolution, we continue evolving in knowing more in this topic. A lot of people made themselves known regarding the topic at hand. The first person that comes immediately in mind is Charles Darwin.
That being said, let's go to what we're talking about.
Charles Darwin's theory of evolution had three main components: that variation occurred randomly among members of a species; that an individual's traits could be inherited by its progeny; and that the struggle for existence would allow only those with favorable traits to survive.
The species that we're about to discuss seems to check most off the list with Darwin's theory.

let me introduce, the palawan binturong!

The Palawan bearcat (Arctictis binturong whitei), also commonly known as the Palawan binturong, is the subspecies of the Binturong. It is endemic to the island Palawan in the Philippines.

They belong to the Viverridae, which is a family of small to medium-sized, feliform mammals. The viverrids comprise 33 species placed in 14 genera. This family was named and first described by John Edward Gray in 1821.
The Palawan binturong can grow to as much as 1.4 metres (4.6 ft). Distinguishing characteristics are the ears that are lined with white fur, and long, white whiskers that can be as long as the length of its head.
Binturongs (the original ones) have long and heavy, with short, stout legs. It has a thick coat of coarse black hair. The bushy and prehensile tail is thick at the root, gradually tapering, and curls inwards at the tip.
here are some videos that explain further these furry creatures:

elaborating further,

these creatures have been assessed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List because of a declining population trend that is estimated at more than 30%.

welcome!!!
This is my performance task in science for the third quarter. The task was to make an explanation of evolution in multimedia form. So, I picked on making a blog with the following information needed on what evolution is and see what species here in the Philippines are part of the evolution.
I hope this will be informative!
