I've always had a headcanon that Klaus is autistic, he came off that way to me even when I was reading the books as a kid but it's even more pronounced in the Netflix series- he tends to obsess about reading and talk about little else, he's highly intelligent but seems rather socially awkward, and he doesn't seem to have close friends at the start of the story which might explain why he and Violet are so close and why she's so protective of him.
I also love how Violet always says "Klaus, you know that thing [X] said?" when she's trying to reassure him. I like to imagine it's a comforting routine she always uses when she senses he's anxious or upset, there's something so sweet about it.

I know people call these games cheesy but I remember playing Wand of Gamelon as a kid and this version of Zelda was my hero. She's seriously badass and has a lot of personality- she's fearless, brave, loves adventure, and doesn't take shit from anyone, plus there's the "You killed me!" "Good!" exchange which is just stone-cold. She was my role model and I'll never stop loving her.

The moment in Majora's Mask where Cremia and Romani are preparing to go to sleep on the final day and Cremia asks Romani to sleep in her bed just destroys me every time. There's also the implication that she gives Romani the milk because she wants to put her into a deep sleep so she won't be awake when the world ends, it's almost like euthanasia in a way. It's really heartbreaking to imagine what it would be like if the moon wasn't stopped, how Cremia would hold Romani and soothe her to sleep knowing there was no hope, and Romani falling asleep in her sister's arms, feeling totally safe and loved, not knowing that she would never wake up.

I think it's overlooked how brave Prim is in the reaping scene. When her name is called she doesn't panic, she comes forward and tries to accept, and it's only when Katniss volunteers for her that she cries and begs her not to do it. She knows she wouldn't have a chance in the games but she's more concerned about her sister being in danger, which shows she's just as willing to sacrifice herself. When you think about it, the series must have been just as traumatic from her perspective since she would feel so helpless watching her big sister be put in danger for her sake again and again, and it might even explain why she was so willing to risk her life in Mockingjay- she might have been so scared of losing Katniss that maybe a part of her was actually hoping she would die first.

For all that we talk about Katniss being the epitome of a devoted and protective sister, we need to recognize that Prim is too.
Like when her name got called in the reaping, she was resigned to her fate, and when she heard Katniss volunteer she tried to stop her, begged her not to take her place. She was completely willing to be a tribute to stop Katniss from taking her place, even though logically they all knew that Katniss was the one capable of being a real contender in the games between the two of them.
Prim was just as willing to die for her sister as Katniss was from the very beginning, Katniss just had more opportunities to prove it. I can't imagine the guilt she must've felt seeing everything that Katniss went through because she wanted to protect her.

I want to hear your favourite edutainment games from the 90s.
Mine is MISSION T.H.I.N.K, a logic game that is probably subconsciously the reason i fell in love with programming. It may be playable at the link I attached, but always play it on my hand-me-down PowerBook G3.

Anyone else notice how at the end of A Scare to Remember Ash was straight-up going to let Team Rocket drown at the end after what they put him and Pikachu through?

I really love the G1 My Little Pony series, and Megan is seriously one of the most awesome heroines ever. The first thing she does when she arrives in Dream Valley is try to punch a dragon that was attacking her new friends, and she just keeps going from there until she straight-up kills Tirac with the Rainbow of Light.
She’s really a great role model- she’s adventurous, brave and compassionate, but will do whatever it takes to stop the villains.

Fern Arable from Charlotte's Web. Fiercely compassionate, determined, nurturing, & willing to stand up for what she believes in. Bravely stops her father from killing a baby pig when she's only eight years old. Declares she doesn't see any difference between a baby pig & a human baby. Worries her parents with her intense love for animals.

This scene just emotionally destroys me every time. Katniss and Prim’s bond is the best and I can’t get through this moment without crying. That long hug is so intense, it shows how much they love each other and it’s so tragic that this is their last real moment together.

I swear this is one of my favorite shots of the show. It’s when Misty’s about to release Gyarados in A Togepi Mirage and has it fry Shedinja. She looks so badass here with that pure white background and that determined look on her face.
“Togetic, leave the rest to me.”

Does anyone notice how Kazooie never insults Banjo like she does everyone else, like not once? She always calls him by his name, it really shows how close they are and how much Banjo means to her. It’s an overlooked detail but it’s so sweet.

An overlooked detail about Ariel is she's one of the few Disney princesses with a kill count. In the TV show she actually kills the Manta’s evil brain sponge by wrapping him up tight so he can’t even move, then crushes him to bits with a rock.

I just love Ariel and Flounder’s relationship, she might tease him sometimes but she’s like a big sister to him and she’s always there to protect him. I love how she looks out for him in the shark scene, and it’s a great example of how she’s not selfish at all, she puts her life at risk to save her best friend.
