Plagiarism from Artist "Antireal" at the Core of Halo Developer Bungie's Upcoming Sci Fi Extraction Shooter, "Marathon"

Do not buy it!

This post has accidentally become breaking-ish media news from Deej as I form my thoughts. People are dying every day, and corpo theft is real civic violence!

This situation has struck a cord with me, so I'm making a post.

Even if for some godforsaken reason you are still a destiny 2 fan or if you're just an extraction shooter or Bungie/Halo fan, you should absolutely not give them a dime for whatever soulless piece of junk Marathon markets as whenever it drops. You should boycott them for this alone, as this is not their first instance or second instance of art theft on full display in their multimillion dollar titles.

They recently admitted (article link) to stealing core, original art from an unpaid, unconsulted artist for what has been at least 4 years of this game's development.

Artist Antireal, spelled as 4nt1r34l (in leet speek) on their x account could use any support possible because it's of the popular opinion that Bungie can't even affirm that this entire game's aesthetic isn't ripped from user antireal and artists just like them.

I'm not a journalist, but this is fresh enough for me to post this Kofi here. Please consider supporting their uphill battle so that they don't feel pressured to take corpo blood money.

This is top to bottom corporate theft from the bellies of visual artists. It's happening more and more every day. This example is seemingly without the increasingly common "Ai scapegoat." This is lazy artistry plain and simple. And, in my humble opinion, renders Bungie's entire operation morally and creatively bankrupt.

I'm not a reporter, so I will just lead yall to the horse's mouth and give a last regard.

I really think this is a very obvious example of plagiarism and direct damage to the integrity of their product and their organization as a whole over at Bungie.

The fact that this artist has never lived off their work while corpo billions hang in the balance is sinful and truly evil to me and many others. That is my professional opinion as well.

I been getting back into Bethesda games and it got me thinking: What would Nick Valentine from Fallout 4 would look like as an Exo. Would all synths be Exos? Would the Ghouls be Awoken? Just... what would a crossover look like?

the maya and osiris parallels continue to fuck me up. Both of them reaching across timelines to save their partners and while Maya won't stop until she finds the right Chioma, the perfect one that will agree with her vision for the universe, the "real" Chioma, and will throw away any version of her that isn't perfect, Osiris broke time for the chance to save Saint-14, and it didn't matter to him which Saint it was, because to him they're all the "real" Saint

Can we just, take Failsafe and put her in The Conductor's body? Let Failsafe be able to roam and be free. Besides I think it would be funny to give her control of some Vex just so she can either cause mayhem or never be lonely again.

That and Failsafe leading the Vex would be the safest option. She'd make them all kill each other before she let them harm anyone else.
