Joining the gym was honestly such a good move and I'm so happy I did it. Being shown proper ways to workout and FINALLY having a trainer listen has done wonders. Anyone else, Id explain for some reason exercise is harder for me. It takes me a LONG time to build up enough to be able to move weights. I'm doing 3kg with the weights at home, 5 at the gym (honestly the metal regular hw seem so much heavier than the plate weights at the gym) and I've been going for MONTHS. Today was the first day the exercise was noticeably easy and im finally upping weights!!! They did tell me I'd take a long time to build strength, they did say I'd have to work hard, but I WOULD get there. Moving up to 5kg weights starting next workout. I know it's a small weight, but small has always been difficult for me. So this is a big step and I'm so proud of myself. Even setups. 0 effort, so now we've got the ability and proper neck support, we are speeding em up to fit more in the 40 seconds

I'm starting to see the size of my cute lil mum pooch decreasing, and glutes are more toned. Noticed my short yesterday had so much space between the bottom and my thighs, where before they sat right on my thigh. I've recently switched back to size 14 in shorts because the 12s kept rolling into my crotch. These are 12s today and are still rolling, but a lot less.

Today we made a big development in pilates!
My body was struggling today. I often struggle with pain in my lower back or neck when doing workouts, no matter how perfect my form is to what we are being shown and told. Some days are worse than others, depending on how my body is. Today was bad for it. But then something triggered and I pulled her aside after class and explained to her that I do come from an abusive background and got a lot of injuries as a kid, that were never properly treated, and just aren't things I consider to tell instructors. Then I explained about hurting my neck at 16 and my hips separating at 15, and she was like 馃挕 that makes a lot of sense why you do things the way you do! And changed arm positions and a proper neck cradle and adjustments to exercises that took all the pain and pressure away. Says she suspects it'll take me a lot of work and a long time, but that I should get strong enough to do them normally

Neck and shoulders were still very stiff, and I've been fighting a headache for two days.
Took time for a neck and shoulder massage while listening to my favourite ASMR to help me relax and then some easy full body stretches before bed.

Was able to do a spotted and supported wheel 馃槉 i tried to do it in the second class too and couldn't alone so asked for support again. We tried and she said my muscles were too tired from the earlier one, so back to bridges instead.

Same yogas as last week. Hot power flow and then vinyasa. My neck is really tight from sitting badly to game, so I'm really looking forward to stretching.
