Bro fuck genshin shippers on tiktok, twitter, and Pinterest who always try to ruin each other’s fun. I’ve noticed this increasing behaviour on all these platforms where shippers try to invalidate each other’s ships by saying stupid shit like:

‘They haven’t even met’

‘They hate each other’

‘They’re just friends’

‘They’re enemies’

‘____ship is better’

Like??????? Genshin has to be these mfs first fandom ever cuz how tf can someone be so ignorant????????

Since when have fans needed a ‘reason’ to ship characters????? Since when did we create this weird fucking expectation that our ships have to adhere to the canonical material??? Shipping is for fun. It’s based on the FANS imagination. If fans dgaf about what goes on in canon, then that’s their choice and you have no right to tell them that they’re wrong. I’m so irritated with all these shippers on tiktok and twitter. They turn everything so serious and treat fictional content like actual historical shit that needs to be followed with great detail…like what the actual fuck I hate these mfs so much

If you wanna base your ships strictly based on what’s canon, then that’s your business but don’t go expecting everyone else to limit their imagination and creativity. We can use fanon material to create dynamics, tropes, head-canons for our ships. Like who tf do these mfs think they are going around making fun of fans for being creative and invested in ships??

Lowkey hate myself for getting obsessed with hkr and renheng. The amount of people who misunderstand lore or that the characters in question have an insane amount of MEMORY LOSS. Also, why are hoyo fans so obsessed with hating on queer ships and spreading bs about them, like bro chill it's just a game and we're all gay fuckers who like to see other gay fuckers in love. It's fiction, seriously who the fuck cares lmao.

Some of yall are just homophobes in disguise who hate any sort of gayness even when it's implied or just theorized. Meanwhile hoyo is trying desperately to get past the censorship and hide the gay while also shoving it down our throats lol. (Aka that typo stuff or whatever. Idk what happened there but why's that your first thought...?)

I genuinely don't understand why people are so fixated on hating ships that are 'toxic'. Sure happy good queer ship representation is important. But like, to be brutally honest, I prefer angst and complex, complicated dynamics. Just let us have both, no need to insist that everyone be the pinnacle of morality. That's boring lol. Also. Hsr is pretty dark when you think about it. At least, from the perspective of someone who only has general knowledge of g*nshin i*pact and just reads funeral man x foxy dude ao3 fics, I was not expecting the deaths of actual people. Like the xianzhou arc had probably the highest body count, with scenes of people literally taking their last breath and not just in the actual gaming part. It's gonna be a bit dark babes.

This goes for jingyuan too. Like i saw someone comment that they're upset he was sorta manipulative during the dragon arc thing. And um sure, but also bros an old ass general who also looks into the future with the divine something. But main point. GENERAL. Sorta his job babes. Mans not going to be some 1D soft uwuu boy. But he's also impartial where he can and perhaps shouldn't be. Tbh hoyo fans should be happy at how complex these characters are.

Sidenote. I find that I cannot stand watching people play games anymore. Like wdym you're talking over the damn cut scene that's significant and/or looking away. Bruh, this isn't a pure battle game, it's heavy on the story so where the fuck is your goddamn attention. Talking bs like oh idk what's going on but they don't read the dialogue, check out the databank/bookshelf, watch the short videos hoyo puts out, or even, just even FUCKING EXPLORE. Some ass I watched just walked straight past vital info, running their goddamn mouth and was then like, broo I'm so confused what's going on?!? Genuinely, if not for the story, then why are you playing? The combat is fun, sure, but it's not like the most riveting thing ever, so why do people not pay attention????

I feel faint oof.

I don't even care if renheng isn't canon and we're all fucking delusional. I'm just annoyed for a varied number of reasons that are triggered everytime I open the devil app that is tiktok...also I feel sorta sad for spoiling 1.3 for myself but also half of it was already spoiled because of tumblr+tiktok having spoilers like the fucking devil himself and also also i feel better/insane that i know like 75% of what's going on.

The way Kacchan talks to Deku - lost in translation & more

This is a piece I wrote that looks at the way Kacchan talks to Deku and how it changes with the mood as well as his current feelings and I wrote it as a compliment of another meta written by makeste that I very much agree with and think these things don’t need to be said again by me because makeste has already done such a fine job at it. I feel like these two topics about Kacchan’s character go hand in hand. Where as makeste’s piece goes into depths about why Kacchan is, this one goes into the how he’s subtly expressing those feelings when Izuku is his focus. I hope these both help build a picture of what’s inside Kacchan’s heart.

So one of the first things we know about Kacchan is his hostile personality that violently lashes out at everyone, an automatic defense that creates an emotional distance between himself and others. Two things with his speech emphasise this antagonism. 1. He treats people as his enemy and calls everyone “teme” almost without exception. And 2. He often omits the subject of his sentences. I saw in DvK2 he doesn’t say ore or teme all that much in his sentence structures, although he still has that mood, at least while talking to Deku. I think this habit of omission is to show both his lack of recognition of the person, “the extra”, and the wide distance he has between them that exists inside of Kacchan’s mind.

Now the neat thing is he has had moments where he got vulnerable and discarded that defensively hostile or dismissive attitude and became a lot softer around Deku. I’ve seen him do this twice now. The first time was when All Might interrupted them and told them to recognise each other’s strengths and help each other learn the parts they’re each missing. After those words, Kacchan hits Deku with a couple of “omae”s and is finally really looking at him and addressing him with more subject and name: “omae”/“Deku”.
