Anjunadeep is celebrating 10 years as a label, 10 years since Above & Beyond and James Grant founded Anjunadeep. Then, James, and later Jody Wisternoff, would becomew masters of creating and curating the most incredible deep electronic music in the world.
The Anjunadeep compilations have continued to grow in musical talent, depth, and following. This fact was reinforced immensely when the Anjunadeep 10 compilation album dropped. James Grant & Jody Wisternoff impress fans abroad who yearn for more and more music stemming from this duo. The label represents not only a particular style of deep house music, but also a mindset and love that is best exemplified by the variety of Anjunafamily members around the world.
This album is a fantastic representation of current and future stars of the Anjunadeep label. Some fans are hoping for older and original label artists to rise back to the lineup, but at least the album has planned a 5 day festival titled Anjunadeep Explorations, which will showcase newer artists as well as beloved originals.
Let this album melt over your mind.
No other words needed, simply enjoy.

A new addition to the extensive and illustrious Anjunadeep artist collection - Tim Engelhardt. With a last name like that it should be no surprise he is a native German, hailing from Cologne, a strong city with deep ties to underground dance music. With his release on Anjunadeep Explorations 09 being a dancefloor sensation, no wonder Anjuna had him host a radio session. This production is the last tune within this Anjunadeep Edition. If you like the song, check out the full mix below!

Up there for electronic dance music song of the year. Massive respect for BICEP - two dudes starting a blog and DJ career from simple passion from dance music, have been curating high class electronic music since 2009.
Read the description of the music video to understand the images and text referring to the 90s rave scene.
Well done BICEP.

ABGT Best of 2018
Above & Beyond Group Therapy radio podcast releases an annual two-part set of the best electronic releases of the year. All releases come from the Anjunabeats label, but they have a variety of artists within the mixes. These two mixes are teeming with quality progressive, trance, and techno sounds. I'm always so taken aback by the Anjuna label and music coming from their musical kitchen, so this is a treat for fellow Anjunafam.

Certified heater from the elusive Verboten Berlin. Found this within a mix from the excellent Jody Wisternoff and since then it has been on heavy repeat radio!
Love the natural bounce that lifts your spirit while it rolls through the vocals that fit anyone who has that special someone calling to them.
Dance and sing wherever you are.

It's been a long week and there had been a calling to relax and unwind. These songs have been propelling the process along.
Enjoy and emote with others.
Spread good vibes always.

Oh RALPH.. how sweet you are. Weather is a melancholy treat.

From trap soul to singer extraordinaire, Bryson Tiller delivers in this cover. Even the song itself, Finesse, screams irony as Tiller masterfully skates all over this song. Easing his way in and out of the beat, switching up pace and tone seems like nothing and you kick back listening. This rapper songwriter knows how to perform.
Anjunadeep's, one of my favorite labels, most recent explorations EPs leads off with this mesmerizing beauty from John Monkman. The piano based single carries you on a journey of emotion and settles any listener to the deep of the entire EP. Peep below!

Simply lovely remix by Ben Böhmer. Ever since I heard his first remix I fell in love with his deep introspective sounds. He never disappoints and this past year his fame and grown and grown, surely due to sounds like this.
Let your mind unwind and be free.

Zimmer, French house/techno producer extraordinaire, joins up with the Aussie powerhouse indie band, Panama to supply a dance hit for the masses. The vocal feature adds a touch that appeals to your emotions while the drums take you and your body elsewhere. The song feels like it is calling you to explore what lies ahead, pulling you in with the repeating rhythm of steel drums in the background.

Thankful for quality music.
It’s the day of eating, thankfulness, and for those whose indulge, turkey, in the states, and this year, I am oh so thankful for all the quality music I access. With Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, and social media, I have limitless access to sounds and styles of all varieties. I’m thankful for the quality music and people who create the art. From folk bands in New England America, to trance producers internationally. Here are a few labels I am thankful for, artists and songs will come. Enjoy to all whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving - and remember - be thankful for the good people, music, and times in your life.
Thankful for these labels:
Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep: Two groups headed by the dynamic electronic trio Above & Beyond. These labels hover across the progressive and trance & deeper side of electronic dance music. I find their artists, soundscapes, and moods fit a niche spot of dance music - one of beauty and emotion.
Future Classic: An Australian label representing a wide variety of artists and they do an excellent job of promoting individual artist styles. Most other labels I feel have a blended or similar style, but Future Classic really curates individual styles. They have one of the best collection of artists in the world, all nestled in Aussie.
SAVEMONEY: I’m biased being from Chicago, but this one is for my favorite hiphop label. Certainly not the most prolific or legendary, but a label with a genuine style doing what they do simply because it’s natural. Their mindset is admirable.
SOULECTION: A label that soothes and eases the atmosphere in any place given the right artist. The weekly Soulection radio show hosted by Joe Kay is absolutely top notch - competing against Triple J and Pete Tong’s Essential Show. They represent many minorities and up-and-coming artists with a great story. They cater to traphouse jazz, r&B, and soul sounds.
