Was wondering how JC valued privacy greatly in DX1 and how he did a complete 180 in DX2 by literally forcing all of the population into mentally linking with Helios and trample all over everybody's privacy.

And you know what's sadder? Paul Denton felt like he was in denial over the whole ordeal. He says I don't need to understand whatever garbled mess JC thinks or mumbles because "he processes in a higher level". He doesn't even try to question him anymore as he admits he thought "all he said at first felt like a bunch of bullshit". Sure, he confidently explains to Alex what JC's plan is all about and how it will fix the world, and then he throws all that confidence out the window when he finishes with "we are the good guys, trust me".

No, you're lying to yourself because the moment you met JC after the merge you realized your dear little brother died and everything you fought for was a huge failure and it cost you the life of who you loved and protected the most. Not in a hundred years would the Paul of old support whatever madness JC Helios is trying to pull off. Hell, not even JC himself would agree.
