Ashe is out exploring the Catacombs of Kalos. She and her daughter are staying in Kalos for the time being on vacation.

Leon is taking a trip through Johto to gain the gym badges.

Willow is in Kalos with her mom, also helping her with work. She's still pretty hurt over losing Larvae.

Kianga is spending his summer visiting the Zohne region*

Grusha is spending his summer boarding with his pokemon in the mountains of the Fyrun region*

Morgan is tending to the house while everyone is away, enjoying some quality time at home as a respite from her adventures with Joseph

Donnie returns with a huff, stuffing his phone into his pocket. "Sorry about that. But yeah, all the Pokemon love Eri. Brutus sort of keeps his distance, but he was like that for me when I was little." He finishes what's left of his food, and cleans Eri's face. Picking up his family's plates, he heads into the kitchen to help clean up. Flannery giggles as Willow practically sits on Eri, who seems shy about the close contact. Donnie nods in agreement. "I'll be there. I might make it to Kalos if the expedition to the Sevii Islands doesn't take too long. Then there's also the League challenge this year..." He rubs his temple, sighing deeply. He sits back down, conjuring a flask of whiskey, taking a swig. "Looks like Blathers is getting a girlfriend soon. They grow up so fast...I remember when he used to faceplant into his food as a Rowlett." He clears his throat, turning to Leon. "But to answer your question from earlier, Vampire Hunters aren't exactly fairy tales, they've always been here in secret. Long story short, stuff happening elsewhere in the Multiverse is causing Mystic and unnatural beings to reawaken in other worlds, like ours. The Vampire Hunter I'm interested in recruiting is native to our world, and has a personal vendetta against them. From what Ultron has dug up about they guy isn't pretty and I won't go into it because of the girls." He thinks about Ashe's offer, and sighs. "That'll probably be good then. I mean, my dad took me on trips when I was her age. And all the Pokemon are protective of her, so she'll be pretty protected."

Ashe's eyes softened, smile still on her features. "Good t' see and glad t' hear." She went to sit back down after getting her fill of looking through the many photos, going back to her tea. Ashe rose her voice to speak to Donovan once he departed to the kitchen. "Sounds like it'll be a party then." She grinned. Leon turned his attention briefly to Donovan at the mention of a 'league challenge'. "Funny you should mention that..."

Cue Willow fidgeting just a bit.

Going onto explain how he had been wanting to go ahead and take the gym challenge, he explained how after Johto, he'd go straight to Kanto which would probably last him through not just the summer, but the fall as well. "... I don't plan on challenging the Elite Four again after my team and I fight the gym challenge -- feels like a moot point, but i'd at least like to make it in time for my team and I to fight you and your team. Feels like a long time coming."

That being said, a laugh escaped him about Blathers. "Celeste was always one to nestle in my hair. She also enjoyed preening it." However, Ashe and Leon both fell quiet as Donovan explained the vampire hunters. "... That actually makes a lot of sense." Ashe admitted. "Though this guy seems like a piece of work." She noted he wouldn't explain because of the girls.

Cue Willow fidgeting a lot.

"Go on and play." Ashe commented, eyeing her daughter to which Willow brightened and got up, pushing her chair in and offered her hand to Eri. "Let's go!"

As they left, Ashe turned back to Donovan. "Then it's settled. We'll see how the end of the month goes and head out as soon as possible in June."

Willow's sniffling and sobbing had long since died out compared to yesterday when she had been crying in agony, sounding like her little heart had been ripped out. Ashe sat quietly, listening to the silence with her daughter now having fallen asleep after her tears had long but ceased.

Ashe knew the pain all too well of losing a dear friend as Willow had lost Larvae.

Going over her own grief of when she had lost a pokemon she rarely spoke about; a dear Liepard. Suddenly, tragically, Ashe found the pain still as raw as any other time she thought about it, even though it had been a good seven years at least.

Sighing deeply, she takes a deep breath and goes to check on her daughter, finding Willow grasping onto her Volcarona plush, curled up in her blankets. Leaning over to gently press a kiss to her forehead, she leans back a bit and sighs softly. She knew, in time, her daughter would find peace in her grief but it would be some time before then, just as she had trouble with her own grief over the Liepard she had left.

With one gentle pat to her daughter's head after tucking her in a bit more, Ashe exited the room to head to her own, and into the comforting confines of her burrow of a bedroom.

Donovan is glad they share his feelings on Eri's previous living conditions. "I made sure her mother is rotting in a cell!" He says in a cheerful, singsong tone. He takes out his phone, and shows them photos and videos of their Pokemon meeting Eri for the first time. Kotaro laying on the ground, gently sniffing her. A video of Momo doing a little happy dance. A photo of Eri with Brutus in the background who's just...staring at the camera. And a photo of Jawbreaker just giving Eri a big ol' kiss....and the following photo with Eri and a serious cowlick. "Oh? I'll swing by later with Blathers, see how he likes the idea. He hasn't really been around other Decidueye other than his sister, so his courtship methods might be funny video material.." He was a bit bummed at them not having a solution for Kong. "Hm...I got some friends who are Rangers, I'll ask them if they know anyone.." He pauses to gently wipe Eri's face with a napkin, asking her if the food is good. "Yes, papa! Thank you Mr. Leon and Mrs. Ashe!" His interest is piqued when Ashe mentions work. "Oh? Catacombs in Kalos? That sounds interest-" He pauses mid sentence, one could see a buffering symbol floating above his head as his mind catches up to what she just said..... "R-Ruins? U-under the Ruins of Alph?" He takes a deep breath, and calmly stands up. "Excuse me for a second." He takes out his phone, stepping outside onto the porch. He's heard calling someone, and sounds annoyed. "Hhheeeeeyyyyy....So...was nobody going to tell me about there apparently being Ruins under the Ruins of Alph? I've searched that place, TOP to BOTTOM...for YEARS and found no trace of anything being underneath." A pause. "NO, that's not my email, I changed it years ago, remember? What do you mean, you sent me text messages? I haven't gotten a message from you in months!" Flannery looks both annoyed and amused at her husband's reaction, chuckling into her tea. "Sorry about that. I forgot he takes pride in his Expertise regarding the Ruins of Alph. Missing something THAT important is a huge blow to his pride. But as for your offer, I'm certain that he'd be more than okay with tagging along with you for both." Eri's eyes light up at the thought of seeing new places, and she bounces in her chair excitedly. "Can I go with Papa and Mrs. Ashe, Mama? Please? Pleeeeeaaaaasssseee?"

"Good." Ashe says firmly and quickly. With her now done, she can focus on getting everyone fresh drinks as well. Heading to and from the kitchen, she bursts out laughing at some of the pictures being shared and Donovan freaking out about the ruins under the ruins. "Sounds like she's been accepted full stop by your 'mons. Great to see." Taking the time to sit down and lean over to view Donnie's phone, she notes Leon going and taking his and Willow's plate as Willow gets up and instead heads to bother Eri by pressing against her so she can sit down beside her on the same chair.

"Willow." Ashe gives a warning to which Willow responds; "I'm only wanting to sit with Eri!" Ashe sighs and lets it pass for now, instead turning to answer Donovan's questions. "Then i'll expect you for the Ruins in July." For June, she'd plan to head to the Catacombs.

Leon jumped in to respond next; "Alright. Let me know so I can at least make Celeste aware." With that, he's seated, having opened up a can of alcohol for himself -- if only to loosen himself up a bit. "No problem, Flannery." Ashe responded with a smile. "He's always welcome too--" At Eri getting bouncing and asking excitedly, Willow gets pushed to her feet, blinking. "The kids'll like it." She points out. "Besides, gives them a bit of a history lesson to take in." Ashe points out.

Kianga gave a gentle pat to his back. He understood some things could never be healed from, but he wished, somehow, he could help Sal to at least be comfortable when in the presence of humans... and yet, he didn't push Sal. Instead, he decides to make do with what resources he has. "Well... let me give it a try then as I am." He would wait for Sal to give him the okay before he proceeded any further.

The very idea of that sent a chill down Sal's spine. That was a was strange occurance given that he was an ice type who normally should never feel chills. Yet, it was chilling because it meant having a human look at him. It meant having a human touch him. He shook his head back and forth, he couldn't take it! He couldn't!

"If its something inside, I'll find it myself! I have an idea where it is...I mean its logical right? I know where they would...where my teacher would pat me the most...they would want to know its there so..." The head, his teacher always made special note to stroke his head a lot but most often his ear. The one that was smaller than the other but held more flesh to it. Sal had read books where it was common to use the ear as the place where most tags were placed on pokemon. "My ear is the most likely place, it is a spot that would check on a lot." Meaning that if someone touched it they likely could feel it there. Sal wasn't willing to have a human touch him but Kianga could check.

He closes his eyes, contemplating the current situation. Helping Sal and protecting his family's abode were aligned interests now. "If you believe it is your ear, and you will not allow a human to help, I suppose I might be able to just feel with my claws... but my sense of touch when I am in human guise is much more perceptive." He never understood why, but that was just how he was made. Therefore, he never really questioned it too much.

He hoped this problem for Sal would be resolved quickly.

He and Flannery blush at Ashe's joke, and Donnie clears his throat. "W-well, we have talked about having more than one kid..." He goes into detail about how he and Flannery adopted Eri, from her dad not being in the picture, to her mother being anti-mutant and trying to send her to 'get her fixed' before Logan and the others from Xavier's Academy got her out of there. Dr. Macoy asked if he was willing to foster Eri due to being great with kids...and the rest was history. "I uh..." He clears his throat again. "I may have cried the first time she called me papa." Thankfully, the story ends just before Eri gets back. "All clean, sweet-pea?" Eri nods, showing Donnie her hands, before climbing into his lap and hugs the Zora..who struggles a bit before giving up. Once the food is ready, Donovan carries Eri to the table, sitting her down before going to help his wife. Once she's at the table Donnie gets her and Eri some food, smaller portions for Eri obviously. And some lemonade. They do their best to answer their questions, with Donovan stating that he's looking to find mates for Blathers and Kong, the latter of whom has been feeling lonely lately. "I forgot to mention, but Blathers is an uncle! His sister and her chicks are living on the property now, and Blathers is helping take care of them. As for work, I'm planning on looking into the ruins that dot the Sevii Islands south of Kanto. As for my other job, there's a Vampire Hunter in Galar that Ultron is looking into. How have things been on your end? Anything interesting happen on the Ranch?"

Eri's story had both Ashe and Leon fit with concerned expressions. "-- Well, she's at least in a place where she'll be loved." Ashe commented, a soft smile being given to Eri. She knew people were cruel, but this kind of cruelty left her stomach churning. Thankfully, the subject was being changed. Hearing about the many happy memories such as Eri called Donnie 'papa' and such had the atmosphere feeling a lot more relaxed then a few moments prior.

As it the conversation turned elsewhere, Leon spoke up; "Actually, I might be able to help with that if all goes well. A Rowlet chose me some years ago. She's a Decidueye now. If she agrees to it, perhaps she could help out with that." "As far as your Rillaboom goes, I don't know if I can be of any help there. Sorry, mate--" Ashe cuts in with excitement then, "Actually i'm glad you bring that up." She gives an apologetic look to her husband, "-- Sorry. Didn't mean to cut in, but--" "You're fine, love." He offers a smile. Ashe brightens and turns her attention to Donovan then. "Speaking of which, there's a few places I wanted to get your opinion on for work. First, there's apparently new ruins that were unearthed beneath those of the Ruins of Alph. Second, the Catacombs of Kalos."

"I wanted to check out both. One in June and the other in July." Willow by this time had turned her attention to eye her mom and godfather. She didn't understand what the excitement was about -- but she did know she was excited about going somewhere other then home. There was just so much to see!

"What's this about a Vampire Hunter? Aren't those only in storybooks?" Leon asked out of curiosity.

"July...couple of months." Night stuffed his hands in his pockets, letting Ashe lead. She probably knew her way around. "Nothing, nothing at all. Between jumping around Jubilife and here, nothing. I should go check on my house in Snowpoint, but Pearl said it was ok." He shrugs, watching Willow. The kid had a life ahead of her, one full of myth and mystery, the best kind.

"I forgot you even had a place in Snowpoint City." She admitted. "After you moved here it's the only place I really associated with you." A huff escapes her in amusement. It doesn't take her long to notice Night watching Willow, an amused smile on her features. "Kids grow up fast."

"Yeah, it's...it's a doozy." He walks back to the door, tossing out a few of their Pokemon, with Momo, Flannery's Ninetails Hanabi, her flareon Akira, Jawbreaker, a Hisuian Zora, and a Golisopod wandering off into the yard, with Kotaro laying down in front of the door, keeping an eye on Flannery. He walks back into the house, helping his wife sit down and rubs her shoulders gently. Eri looks up at Leon with wonder in her eyes. "....So tall..." Donnie returns the dap with a smile, patting his shoulder. "Sorry about the radio silence. But it's good to see you too." Flannery gives Leon a tired wave, returning the hug. Eri looks at Willow's hand, back to her parents, and then back to Willow before gently taking her hand and letting her lead the way. The Golisopod peeks through the kitchen window, eyeing the food with some drool coming out of its mouth. Momo decides to come inside, waddling up the stairs and laying down next to Flannery. The Zorua climbing up Donnie's leg to sit in his lap, purring.

"It's all good, mate." Leon's smile remains. His gaze follows the two kids as they head to wash up, leaving Leon to then turn his head and ask; "What's the story there?" Ashe poked her head out of the kitchen as well out of curiosity. "I never took you for the type to speed up time there, Donnie." She jokes.

It doesn't take the girls long to do so and soon Willow is entering the living room after Ashe and Leon get the explanation they need.

"Washed up both of you?" Leon asks to which Willow nods. "Yeah!" Willow goes to then help her mother with finishing setting up everything and then going to hop onto the couch beside her father.

It doesn't give Willow long as Ashe soon pops her head out; "It's ready!" With more of the mindset of help yourself, Ashe and her husband would wait for the kids, Donovan, and Flannery to help themselves before getting their own servings.

The food available? Leon's specialty of Dynamax Curry, but also were finger food such as sandwiches, cheese and crackers, and a fresh pitcher of lemonade as well as freshly brewed tea.

Once seated, Willow was happy to dig into hers while Ashe and Leon took their time, taking some time as well to throw out questions (specifically Ashe did); "So, how's work going? Any interesting stories?"
