i'm back with another Psych-Missed-Opportunity-Episode-Idea: Murder on the Orient Express episode. jules and lassie are on the train to get to a police conference or smth. gus is on the same train but going somewhere completely different; prolly a convention. shawn isn't supposed to be there. he snuck on. everyone is Unhappy about this, but before lassie can bring him to the authorities, a dead body is discovered. cue intro.

throughout the investigation, gus keeps suggesting the "everyone did it" conclusion bc he knows the original story and sees the parallels. shawn keeps telling him he's being paranoid. lassie is doing a terrible job hiding how pumped he is ab this pop murder investigation. gus's vast and intricate train knowledge keeps coming in handy. there's only a brief moment where any of them have cell reception, and shawn uses it to call in a henry-specific tip (after almost squandering it calling a restaurant to ask if their enchiladas come with sour cream, then trying to request a delivery to a moving train). there's a classic runaway train segment where juliet is the only one in the conductor's compartment and she's getting instructions from gus via walkie-talkie (which lassie had packed for this trip bc he has Problems) while the other two are elsewhere in a stand-off with the killer.

ripe for a goofy and absurd cast of suspects, like the clue episode. i'm thinking later seasons. there's a celebrity guest star who famously had a role in some train-related media. tell me you guys see the vision.

and I agree fully, Mondstadt is insane and you geniuely don't realize just HOW insane it is when you start the game until you learn more about the lore and have to do a double take

like we have kaeya's origins thats slowly unravelling itself, we got "the gateway of celestia", we got the upside-down statue, we got diluc's journey across teyvat, we got miss alice herself, hexenzirkel, albedo and rhinedottir, whatever tf varka is up to in that long ass expedition he's in, why tf is crepus connected to the fatui??? is he the 10th harbinger like people are saying??? wdym diluc's mom could've been part of the hexenzirkel??? WHAT IS THE LORE WITHIN THE RAGNVINDR FAMILY??? WHY ARE YOU GUYS SO WACK, like a potential harbinger father and potential witch mother, a vigilante older brother, AND a forced spy younger brother, hello if this shit is true im gonna scream

Ruan Mei's quest, at least first part with bugs, really pissed me off.

Okay, okay, listen, it's not because she "used" us - let's be honest, there are very few characters in the story who haven't used Trailblazer to some degree - but because Stelle kept being absurdly nice to her. Like, c'mon, girl, you can't be nice to Sampo, who's 50/50 troublemaker and helpmaker (seriously, the answer options with him are "negative, negative, neutral" most of the time, even though we've been shown his positive sides numerous times), but "want to see again" the one who fed you weird drugs in the first minutes of meeting you and sent you to clean up her shit? We have both positive and negative answers for Kafka, but not a single truly negative answer for Ruan?

Obsessed with Xie Lan as a character. Like I know everyone reads these books for the romance but the individual character concepts are hilarious.

Xie Lan is a prince. He eats poison on the reg. He’s forever stuck looking like he’s nineteen. He’s the oldest guy in the communication array. He knows kung fu. He dressed in drag to catch a ghost on two separate unrelated occasions. He’s the world greatest detective. He’s kind. He was forced into a trolley problem and chose to pull the lever. His cooking is awful to the point it could kill a god. He’s kind. He tried to give CPR to a ghost. He’s the unluckiest man alive. He’s been kicked out of heaven multiple times. He’s kind. He caught a kid from certain death and everyone was pissed at him forever about it. He regrets nothing but coming back to heaven.
