And now, this blog has come to an end… …but the species has not!!
I’m still working on it at the time of this post, but now the official Floserd blog will be on @floserds!!
So this sideblog will now be more of a… memory lane, really!! :3 (…even tho nobody even glanced at it while it was alive…)
It shows the live process of while I was working on my species!!
The slow changes, the beginnings of lore, this blog showed it as it happened!!
So it will stay up, to show the memory of it.
(…though I will now need to correct the link on the Carrd for the Floserds…)

lil ramble cus I wanna summarize my original species over on @floserd-theflowercows (and also on the site I made)
Firstly, it’s an open species, so anyone can make a Floserd!! :3
Basically they’re like… living cow-shaped plants that walk and talk (sometimes) and eat and stuff!!
They don’t really have a religion (cus I’m not gonna make up a religion), but they do have some holidays, one of which they celebrate the creation of the Floserds (basically anytime there’s a Solar Eclipse), which they celebrate with stories and food & fun games!! They also (mainly the Plain Floserds) decorate themselves with smushed fruit (they use smushed fruit like paint to tell stories, so when they decorate themselves with it, it’s like… face paint to celebrate the long story shared through time)
but anyways, speaking of “Plain Floserds”, there are 5 variants: Plain Floserds, Tundra Floserds, Desert Floserds, Water Floserds, & Parasitic Floserds
starting from reverse (for funsies & why not), Parasitic Floserds, who are typically the shortest of the variants (typically around 2 ft, can sometimes be a bit taller (or shorter)), and are like… tiny quokka vampires? Minus the whole… dropping-their-baby-so-they-can-safely-escape thing that quokkas do. But the parasitic Floserds tend to be shorter, and I guess more… aggressive? But they are small, fast, and are like tiny leeches if they latch onto another Floserd, and… take nutrients from them (any other wording sounded weird so take the confusing sentence instead). This variant also has the chance of having a pouch instead of udders (so either udders or pouch, that’s their options), due to how they tend to move quickly, compared to regular Floserds
Next, Water Floserds are like… the mermaids of Floserds, and are water plants/flowers, and they don’t really have a set size. They’re kinda like… that thing about lizards(?) growing to the size of their enclosure, or a goldfish getting really big if released to the wild (which from what I heard I think ur not supposed to do that), but Water Floserds can go from really small sizes (probably pond or stream), to really reaaaally big (ocean). Water Floserds tend to be more playful & curious, and are usually the more carefree ones. However, they’re mainly bound to the water, as they get their oxygen from the water, and their nutrients and everything else they need is in the water. They also just.. don’t have legs, so they can’t even function on land. They’re like manatees, honestly.
Then, there’s the Desert Floserds, which are the second-shortest Floserd (but still taller than the Parasitic Floserds). They’re kinda like… the strong ones? Idk. But they have tough paw pads (which I forgot to mention Floserds have paw pads. May seem weird but hey camels actually have padding too so. Yeah.) and dull hooves, and are pretty good at climbing and such. They also like cactus fruit (not a requirement that they all have to like cactus fruit, just they’re basically the only variant really with easy access. Except for the Parasitic Floserds that live in the desert too.). Desert Floserds are also like… the main fighter Floserds, as they can have strong hits with their tough dull horns & hooves. (also to specify here: Dull as in blunt, not as in bland)
Then there’s Tundra Floserds, the tallest Floserd variant, and also the only other variant with the ability to swim (besides Water Floserds, who live in water, and besides certain Parasitic Floserds). They live in snowy areas, and are extremely floofy to keep themselves warm in such areas. They are the ‘chill’ ones (get it? get it? okay I’ll stop XD), and are more relaxed, but still try to keep on guard, to make sure they don’t get attacked or anything. Their hooves and horns are sharp, and their hooves can (eventually) crack ice, so they wouldn’t hesitate also if self-defense is needed.
Finally, there’s the Plain Floserds, who are kind of just… plain. They’re found in biomes like grasslands, forests, etc etc. they’re kind of like… the story-teller variant!! They like to paint their stories with berries, they like to explore and share their tales, they’re also the most social variant!! I… don’t have much to add about them sorry XD
But ye, those are the variants!!
Also from height:
Tundra - average 7 ft Plain - average 6’’5 (don’t ask why it’s specific it was the vibe for me) Desert - average 4 ft Parasitic - average 2 ft Water - no average (based on body of water)
Also, to specify:
Floserds are not me claiming over every flower cow (for example, I’m not claiming Mooblooms as mine.) Floserds are flower cows, yes, but their main defining traits are that their tails are flowers, and that they’re just large living walking plants
(…also there can’t really be any Mushroom Floserds, cus mushrooms are fungi, not plants.)
But yeah I’ll leave it at this!! If anyone wants to ask more about Floserds, I’d be really happy to answer!!!!!

It took some time, but finally…
The Floserds have an official site!!
thanks so Carrd (and Sera Proto’s video about it), I finally managed to make a site for the cows!!
There may be a few mistakes here & there, and I might’ve not been able to fit everything (due to the 50 element limit when you don’t pay), but I’m really proud of it!!
So… here it is!!! :3
(And if anyone is interested on the species, then you can ask me here, or on my main blog!!)

Background + Lore, and the One who Started it All
I've been putting this off for the surprise-factor, but I feel like it's better to share this now rather than never
How Floserds came into existance
It all started on one special day, nobody knew the exact date specifically, but there was supposed to be an eclipse during the middle of the day. All the humans were excited, with their fascination of the moon going over the sun, but sadly, it began to rain. The clouds covered the eclipse, and they were all sad.
However, somewhere else on the world, in a large sunflower field, the rain was watering all the sunflowers, including a large sunflower, with yellow and a hint of orange and red in its petals. As the rain fell, and the clouds shifted, a rare moment happened: A raindrop was hit with a ray of the eclipse light, making a Solar Drop, which landed on the large sunflower, and absorbed by its leaves.
Eventually, as time passed on days later, the already-large sunflower had begun to grow more, getting larger and larger, until one day... the ground shook. Nobody knew what was happening, but as the ground shook, it began to crack in that field. Something was emerging from the soil. As it struggled to crawl out, eventually it made it out, revealing a large, unknown creature.
It looked like that of a cow, but stood like a human, and had a large sunflower tail. Nobody knew what it was, most people didn't even know it existed yet. The creature stood there, confused, not knowing what or who it was, but knew it was alone. To solve that, it decided itd travel the world, and pollinate other flowers around the world, in hopes of making more like itself
It started off with the sunflowers in its field, and pollinated them using its tail, and shaking pollen off onto them. It waited and watched, before eventually, they each crawled out of the soil too, and more of these flower cows came to be. The large one, excited, got back up, but on all fours instead of its hind legs, and began to wander the world, spreading pollen as it passed through the whole world.
It passed through forests, fields, and plains, though it did try to avoid civilization, as most humans seemed to not like its presence. It passed through water, being large enough to not have to worry about sinking. It went everywhere around the world, even accidentally pollinating underwater plants, as its pollen washed through the waters. It even accidentally pollinated parasitic plants, but it didn't notice.
Once it was done, it went back to the place it was born, exhausted, and found a cave that it rested in ever since. Nobody knows if that giant flower cow is still alive, but the other flower cows always remember the deed of that cow, and how they wouldn't be alive without it, and celebrate it whenever they sense a Solar Eclipse
This cow has been referred to by many names, none of the other flower cows knowing its real name. Some call it Soliflos (sōl - sun & flōs - flower), others call it Eclipse, some just call it the One who Started it All, some call it Flare, some call it the Eclipse-flower or the Solarflower, but the name it goes by itself is...
Helian!!
Helian (short for 'Helianthus annuus') is very tall (another image w/ Chamomile beside them for comparison:)
They don't know too much about how Floserds have grown to be, as they rest in a cave hidden off from most entities (except for the sunflower Floserds, who have kept the secret of the cave's location), but one day they may reawaken, and go to explore the world.
Helian would use they/it pronouns... if it knew what pronouns were. Floserds never really had pronouns originally in their language, but once they also began using human languages, they incorporated it into theirs to portray identity a bit more
Not much is known about Helian, however, since nobody (again, except the sunflower Floserds) have seen them, or even know where they are.
But yeah, thanks to Helian, a lot of Floserds (or at least the land ones) (and also not the parasitic ones) celebrate 2 holidays: fēstus sōlis (the Festival of the Sun), and umbra lūnae (the Shadow of the Moon)
The Festival of the Sun is basically when they celebrate how they came into existance, and it's celebrated during a Solar Eclipse. They collect berries and fruits that they give as gifts for their family and bouquets (the new name for Floserd herds instead of herds), and they share stories with either other bouquets of Floserds, or other species.
The Shadow of the Moon, meanwhile, can sometimes give a different energy than the Festival of the Sun. The Shadow of the Moon is celebrated during a Lunar Eclipse, and the Floserds decorate themself with flowers that strongly represent them (ex. Chamomile would have a flower crown of chamomiles, and chamomile bracelets), as their tails stay open instead of closing at night like usual, and they play games in honor of how far their species has come. They race one another, moo together, and eat feasts of berries and grass and hay and whatever other foods are a part of their diet. The Shadow of the Moon is a festival meant to celebrate how far they've made it, and to honor those they lost.
Anyways, I feel like that's enough info for now!! :3

Somehow I finished making this before the year ended, but..
Here's some info sheet for Floserds, for the different variations of Floserds!!!
First we have:
Plain Floserds, the example here being Chamomile!!!
Plain Floserds are found in multiple biomes, from savannahs to grasslands to rainforests to forests to plains. Plain Floserds have average fluff, soft small padding to care with, dull hooves to pick & squash berries, and soft tails.
They have a diet of berries, grass, hay, leaves, and fruit.
They move on land, and can be both bipedal & quadrupedal.
And some extra facts not on the sheet:
Plain Floserds one day began a tradition of painting out their stories, using squashed berries to tell their tales. They write their stories anywhere, from caves to rocks to trees to just any surface they find before they continue their travel. They are quite the artists, but their symbols are hard to understand...
Next is:
Tundra Floserds, the example being Rose!!
Tundra Floserds are typically spotted in snowy tundra biomes, but can be spotted in snowy taiga biomes. They usually have fluffy fur to stay warm, sharp hooves to dig through ice, and typically are more common to have leaves to store water.
They have a diet of berries, grass, leaves, shrubs, and fruit.
They move on land, and can be both bipedal and quadrupedal.
And some extra facts not on the sheet:
Tundra Floserds are actually the best swimmers of all the land floserds, but they don't swim for long periods of time, as the water is still quite cold.
Next:
Desert Floserds, with Poppy as an example!!!
Desert Floserds reside in the biome that matches their name (Desert biomes). They have long, wide ears to help keep cool, a light yet thick coat to keep cool during the day & warm at night, slitted nostrils and fur that covers their eyes to defend from sand, dull hooves & horns for strong hits, climbing, and digging, and tough padding for tough surfaces and climbing. Desert Floserds are usually shorter than average Floserds.
They have a diet of grass and cactus fruit.
They move on land, and can be both bipedal & quadrupedal.
Some extra facts not on the sheet:
Desert Floserds will bury themselves mainly in the sand, with their tail sticking out, for many reasons: photosynthesis, sleeping, and as camouflage.
Next up:
Water Floserds, with Lily as the example!!
Water Floserds are found in large biomes of water, from lakes to the ocean. They have large ears with small openings, whiskers to feel around, soft paws to carefully handle food, slitted nostrils, and a light underbelly. Water Floserds change in size depending on the body of water, being largest in oceans.
They have a diet of seaweed & kelp.
They don't move on land, and are aquatic, so they only swim.
Some extra facts not on the sheet:
Water Floserds can blow bubbles underwater for entertainment, and can also use echolocation to find one another.
Finally, we have:
Parasitic Floserds, with Langsi as an example!!
Parasitic Floserds can be found nearly everywhere. They stick in packs, compared to other Floserds' herds, and move faster than average. Parasitic Floserds have sharp fangs, hooves, and horns to attack with, tougher padding for defense, and a pouch to carry food or young Parasitic Floserd in as they travel. They have sharp hearing, and sharp eyesight.
They have a diet of flowers, floserds, and sap.
They mainly move on land, and can be Bipedal & Quadrupedal.
Some extra facts not on the sheet:
While Parasitic Floserds are seen as dangerous and uncaring by other Floserds, Parasitic Floserds care a lot for their pack. If one member of the pack is injured or harmed, they will make sure that the member is cared for, helped, and fed.
Also, not all Parasitic Floserds have a pouch, they either have udders or a pouch. They can't have both, so usually the udderless Parasitic Floserds are considered the carriers. They have pouches to carry because Parasitic Floserds move quicker than most Floserds do on average, making it hard to carry their food in their hands, or for their young to catch up, so whatever needs to be is put in the pouch.

Okay I did not give any updates for most of this break, but one thing:
I'm removing the ear length limit rule I said a while ago
The reason for this is because it's a pretty silly rule, and I doubt anyone would make the ears excessively long. Plus, it's hard to not make the ears logically not pass the shoulders.
So yeah, no more ear rule, it should be known to not make them dramatically long. Just do you.

Information Spill
Since I'm running out of time at this point, I'm gonna have to throw in all the information, and then either organize it when I have time tomorrow, or organize it in December.
There are 5 subspecies of Floserds:
Plain Floserds, Tundra Floserds, Water Floserds, Parasitic Floserds, and Desert Floserds
They each have slightly different diets, with some corresponding portions
Plain Floserds eat berries, grass, hay, anything cows regularly eat, with an addition of tea. Which is specifically for babies. Or special occasions. Floserds don't really drink their own tea, unless another Floserd is injured, in which the tea helps sooth them, and makes them feel better as they're helped. But that's never tea from themself, as they'll never drink tea specifically from themself. They also drink water. They'll also eat fruits, but specifically fruits like apples and such. Not flower fruits (which is also something I'll get into in a later section of this spill)
Tundra Floserds eat berries, bush leaves, shrubs, and fruits. To get water, they use their hooves (which are slightly sharper) to make holes in the ice for them to drink from. Their diet is kinda similar to the Plain Floserd, but with biome differences.
Water Floserds eat sea plants (seaweed), and if they can access it, will eat grass and land plants (this is mainly water floserds from pond/lake--stream/river. Not really sea/ocean water floserds.)
Desert Floserds eat grass and other desert plants, and really like cactus fruit, as it's both what they eat and drink.
Finally, Parasitic Floserds eat nutrients from plants, nutrients from other Floserds, plants, and other Floserds (as a treat :3). They also really like sap from trees (imagine a bunch of Parasitic Floserds surrounding one of those red sap trees, and just drinking the sap. That's a worrying sight XD) (then again yall can't imagine it cus I haven't shared an Parasitic Floserd examples yet, and nobody looks at this blog)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now this is kinda some atanomic (how the freak do you spell it. Anatomy. Fricking Anatomy.) stuff, but not entirely?
To start off with the not-entirely anatomic (???) stuff, since I've explained that Floserds lay seed-like eggs, I added an extra step while I was gone:
They make fruit
Not edible fruit, that's very important. That's their child in the fruit, as the fruit is like an outer layer as the egg/seed produces. The fruit is what they pollinate (with the pollen in their flower tails), and the fruit is basically portable as the herd moves. After some time, however, the seed emerges, and has to be buried, as the herd waits for the egg to hatch/the seed to grow.
Now the rest.
The seed that a Floserd is born from is still apart of them as they grow. It kind of ends up being... it's heart? I haven't fully decided still as of now so currently it's its heart. But they, in short, have plant anatomy because... they're basically plants!! They're living and breathing(ish) but they're plants!! The biggest difference (in my opinion) is they have the seed's roots on the inside (kinda how they have their nutrients stored inside, as what they eat gets turned into nutrients and oxygen, as they release waste via oxygen!
Also I'm sorry I'm not good at anatomy, so their anatomy will definitely be updated at some part, the main constant will probably be the fact they have plant-like anatomy!!
Also, Floserds don't exactly have lungs, they breathe through their tails (or for some Floserds with back leaves, through their leaves as well)!! So yeah, losing their tail can be very dangerous for em...
Also (this is the third "also" in a row), I don't know if this fits here, but Floserds photosynthesize!! I think I forgot to say that!! Sometimes they lay in the sun, and just photosynthesize for a bit.
...their flowers also close at night that's a random unnecessary fact
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now this part is kinda more like lifestyle?
Floserds always stick in herds, as I believe I stated before (if I didn't then my bad..), unless a Floserd specifically decides to leave their herd to explore or to start their own herd (which is very hard for Floserds to do)
Floserds also have a specific funeral tradition (don't ask why I gave them funeral traditions, I thought it'd be neat to give em). They bury the body of the dead Floserd (...or at least what remains of the dead Floserd - if anything - due to however they died), and surround it with flowers, herbs, and berries (the flowers and herbs are many different flowers & herbs, but are mainly the flower/herb the Floserd that died was). They then honor the lost Floserd, and after they finish honoring the Floserd, they all move on, but they do still mourn/grieve over the lost Floserd.
After some time, the buried Floserd regrows, but as only the plant they were. No longer a Floserd, but just a flower or herb.
Also, on the topic of this, most predators to a Floserd are omnivores or herbivores, and of course Parasitic Floserds

Subspecies (Summaries)
Floserds, being the more broad term of the species, are very well-known as cows with flower tails. However, there are different sections to this species
Plain Floserds
Plain Floserds, while their name sounds like they're plain, are floserds commonly found in more calmer climates and biomes, like savannahs, rainforests, forests, grasslands, and of course: plains. Plain Floserds can be either bipedal or quadrupedal. There is no specific type of personality for this subspecies.
Tundra Floserds
Tundra Floserds are floserds found in colder climates and biomes, but aren't specifically found in Tundra biomes, as they can also be in Taiga biomes. Tundra Floserds have thicker fur to keep themself warm in such colder climates, and have slightly sharper hooves to access water, commonly by breaking small holes in ice to drink from. Tundra Floserds can be either bipedal or quadrupedal. There is also no specific personality type for this subspecies.
Water Floserds
Water Floserds are the mermaid-like floserds, who live in marine biomes, and can be found in lakes, ponds, rivers, seas, and the ocean. Their size can change depending on their location, from being quite small, to seemingly quite large. Water Floserds don't have to worry too often about drinking water, since they're surrounded by it, but do eat at seaweed and other underwater plants. Water Floserds cannot be bipedal nor quadrupedal, since they do not have back legs. Water Floserds are mainly known to be playful, but besides that have no specific personality type.
Parasitic Floserds
Parasitic Floserds are floserds that feast on the nutrients of other plants, and, more commonly, other floserds. Parasitic Floserds are often nicknamed "Vampire Floserds" as they do sometimes act vampire-like, a strong example being Langsdorffia Floserds or Mistletoe Floserds. Parasitic Floserds can be either bipedal or quadrupedal. They also have no specific personality type, despite being stereotyped by other Floserd subspecies to be aggressive.
Desert Floserds
Desert Floserds are Floserds found in deserts. These Floserds are commonly smaller than other land floserds. Desert Floserds have larger and tougher paw pads compared to other Floserd Subspecies, as they commonly get water from cactus fruit, and they are usually shorter than the cacti, so their tough pads help them not get hurt by the pricks. They also have slitted nostrils, unlike most Floserds, and their hair more commonly covers their eyes (but still lets them see through), so that sand doesn't blow into their eyes and nose. Desert Floserds can be either bipedal or quadrupedal. There's no specific personality type for this subspecies.

Ah, I should probably give some updates before I go...
I guess as a quick short sneak-peak update:
Floserds don't actually poop. nor pee. They release waste like plants do, which is by releasing oxygen

I know I haven't posted a lot on this blog, but I made an official ref sheet for Chamomile!!

Lifestyle of a Floserd
(idk what else to call this section)
This'll explain things about a Floserd's life, like how they're born, what they eat, and how mating exactly works for them
Floserds are grown in the ground, like most plants. They take up nutrients in the ground, and take up water either through groundwater, or from rain (or maybe if there's a little source of water nearby. Or, of course, if it's a Water Floserd, and is surrounded by water. When there's getting close to finishing growing, a bud will appear above the ground, slowly. The bud doesn't flower when it's finished, however, as this bud is the Floserd's tail, and will grow alongside them.
When they're finished growing, a baby Floserd digs itself out of the soil, and is ready to explore the world.
Floserds mainly eat a diet of things like hay or grain, basically what real cows eat. However, they will sometimes photosynthesize, and lay in the sun to absorb energy This can slightly vary depending on the varient though (above is for Plain Floserds)
Tundra Floserds will eat grass & grain, and will occassionaly eat berries.
Water Floserds eat seaweed, and other herbivore foods in water. Sometimes (if accessable) they will reach onto land for a lil nibble of grass, as a treat (they don't need it to survive, just sometimes they like the taste)
All of the Floserd varients drink water, the water varient accessing it the easiest (of course)
(also btw, though Floserds are herbivores, they are not cannibals and will not eat one another)
Now, for the mating process (they don't mate in the way that's probably expected)
For Floserd mating, it doesn't depend on parts, nor does it exactly require having a partner to do it.
If two (or more) Floserds grow in love with each other, then one of them will lay an egg (YES they lay eggs, don't ask), which look like seeds, and then they'll pollinate it using the flower/herb of their tails.
Of course, there could just be one, who'll lay an egg, and pollinate it alone.
After this process, they wait some time for the baby to grow (they're not a species to abandon their young, so they'll stay close by as they wait for the baby to grow), and once the baby does, they'll nurture and take care of it. The only case of a Floserd not raising its young would be if the parent Floserd died before the baby finished growing (or if the herd that the parent Floserd belongs in begins to move locations before the baby grows all the way).
Floserds live basically the same lifespan of an average cow.
(also their seed variates depending on the flower/herb/weed of the parent Floserd that laid the egg)
Floserds travel & live in herds mainly, unless an individual Floserd decides to live alone, which is rare for a Floserd to do. They stay in herds for protection, and also for comfort, as they (technically) have predators (what are the predators? idk... wolves... or any carnivore/omnivore fursona? I guess mainly omnivores?)
Floserd herds (that's kinda funny to say imo) are slightly mixed up of bipedal & quadrupedal Floserds. However, they mainly stay the varient (no Plain Floserd & Water Floserd herds for example. Either Plain Floserd herds or Water Floserd herds, not a mix). However, this doesn't automatically imply they hate other varients, it's just rare to see them herd with other varients
anyways, I can't think of any more required info, cus I think this is enough for their lifestyle!

Floserd Traits Info WOOOO-
Okay so I found out I have all my notes still on a computer (that I don't often use so I didn't realize) So I can post the true traits & other info!!
Ill mark the other one as old to mark the difference, but I won't delete it, as I may fuse details from that w/ the official one!!
So as I stated before, there are 3 types of traits:
Casual/Common Traits
Rare/Uncommon Traits
Impossible Traits
Casual Traits
Casual Traits (which is what my notes originally called them, but they can also be called Common Traits) are traits that either are always there (casual), or traits that aren't always there, but are there most of the time (common)
Some examples of casual traits are:
Hooves
Flower/Herb tails
Ears (which change in length from short-long)
Paw Beans (cus why the heck not)
Snout shape (didn't state this anywhere before, but yeah their snout always has that cow snout shape) (their snout doesn't always look like how I draw em of course, it's just always a cow snout, & depends on how you draw cow snouts)
Fur
And some example of common traits are:
Udders
Horns
Fur spots (either no spots, or any form of spot patterns real cows have)
Fur fluff (smooth fur, slightly fluffy, very fluffy)
Uncommon/Rare Traits
Now, these traits (which funnily enough, I never called them uncommon traits ever until I first typed them out here, but now they're also called uncommon), the uncommon/rare traits, these are traits that aren't always there, but can still be there, so they aren't impossible.
Some example of these are:
Back leaves (look like wings, but can't fly with them. They still move tho, just the floserds with these cannot fly with em)
2-3 tails (which must be the same herb/flower at the end)
Weed tails
Tail Leaves
Very tall height (this is only for the Water Floserds, as their height/length depend on where they are. Thus, ocean Water Floserds can be pretty big. However, they're not as big as a certain Floserd that has yet to be revealed, but will be called for now "The One who Started it All", or just "The One" for short. Ocean Water Floserds cannot & will never be as tall or taller than "The One", but their tall genes do come from "The One". It's like... a distant gene, or whatever it's called.) (as I said in my notes: Imagine Black Pearl Cookie from Cookie Run Kingdom or the Whaletaur from Centaur World)
Impossible Traits
Finally, there's the impossible traits, which are traits that Floserds just... cannot have
These consist of:
Mating parts/organs(?) (I don't know how to explain this really. They have parts to pee & poop, but not parts to mate with. So no Floserds mating like that, but they can go to the bathroom. Idk this is just really hard to explain...)
4-9+ tails (the maximum amount of tails is 3 due to mutation, but you cannot go over that sadly)
2-3 tails that don't match (if the Floserd has a mutation of multiple tails, it must still be the same flower/herb/weed)
Functioning wings (again, they can't fly, it's just extra body part mutation. Like... imagine a human with a tail. They can't move it, but it had some use in the past. For the Floserd Wings, their old function was basically flower stem leaves. That's the function they had. They were never intended to be wings, just to absorb water through, except now they drink water so the leaves aren't used much)
Ears past the shoulder length (sorry, the ears cannot be too long. Sure it can be close, but no excessive passing, like ears dragging on the floor. No.)
Horns that are too big (they can't be excessively big, but they can be kinda big)
Height as tall as/taller than "The One who Started it All" (as stated, only Water Floserds can get close, but again, only close to the height of "The One")
Hopefully these specifications aren't too much, if so I'm sorry, but yeah these are the trait rules!!
(Also to include the images I had last time as examples:)
(and also another image I didn't have last time:)

(old!!)
Oh crap all of the info I had on Floserds was on my tablet...
Welp, looks like I'll be spitballin off of memory...
Floserds have 3 categories for traits (as I can remember)
There are:
Common traits
Uncommon/Rare traits
Impossible Traits/traits they cannot have
Common Traits
Common traits for Floserds split into traits they always have, and traits that they don't always have, but are just common.
Some traits that are always there are their hooves, their flower tails, and their paw beans (though it is strange that they even have beans, since cows dont, but hush)
Traits that are more common than always there are their udders, spots, and their horns, so some Floserds are udderless, some are spotless, and some are hornless
Rare Traits
Then, there's the uncommon/rare traits. There's a chance these were separate sections, but I cant check lol, so they're the same until proven otherwise
There are many rare traits, but one that I would like to start off with are wings
I'm starting off with the wings because these wings are not exactly functionable. Sure, they can move, but they don't work with flying. It's just a weird mutation, where the leaves of the herb became wing-like features. You can't have a flying Floserd.
The wing trait is 2 large leaves on their back (I say large because theyre not regular flower leaf size), which can be small, or medium in size compared to the Floserd. They can't be bigger than the Floserd, and again, they don't actually work to fly.
Some more rare traits are 2 or 3 tails (which must be the same flower/herb), and different fur amounts, which can be slightly fluffy (ex. Chamomile), medium amount of fluff (ex. Rose, which is the name I went with for the Tundra Floserd example), and very fluffy (which I didn't get to make an example for yet). There are also their ear lengths, which can be in a range of small (no ex), medium (ex. Milk, which is the name I decided for the Quadrupedal Floserd example), and long (ex. Chamomile, Rose, & Lily)
There are probably more rare traits, but I sadly cannot remember them all...
Impossible Traits
Finally, there are traits that Floserds can, and never will, have.
We start off strong with them not having those parts that people find 'hot'. No private parts, no badonkers, no weewoos (Im sorry I found it kinda funny to type that). The only genitalia(?) they have are buttholes, and that's that. But yeah they dont do the do. They dont partake in hanky panky (I am never typing that one again)
Secondly, they can't have more than 3 tails. This means you cannot have a Floserd with 4+ tails, only 1-3 tails.
Thirdly, the ears cannot be excessively long. It can be small, and it can be long enough to go slightly past the shoulders/at the shoulders, but it can't be so long it's touching the ground. (So if you imagine Billie from Billie Bust Up, you can't have a Floserd with ears as long as them
Fourthly, the horns also can't be excessively long.
Look at this bull for example

this is how long "excessively long" would be on a Floserd, so a Floserd cannot have horns like this
The longest horns they can have would probably be this (another bull image) (+ smol babey):

Fifthly (which I technically already went over), no functioning wings. They can have leaf wings, but they can't fly with them.
Sixly (which I dont think I actually had originally), no other markings. All of the markings Floserds can have should be what cows can have. So spots are an example, but any cow marks (I don't know what other cow marks are called, so just search up "Cow markings" and go off of that. If you see a cow image w/ a barcode, don't even consider making a floserd w/ barcode marks, cus that image doesn't count. Yes I did see a cow w/ a barcode mark put on it when I searched up cow markings)
There's probably more, but when/if I get my tablet back working, then I'll check & see if this is accurate, and I'll edit this if it's not
(Oh yeah also they can wear any accessory, like a small flower, a hat, a bell, and a bandana for a few examples)

Okay so as I slightly explained on my main, I kinda can't use my tablet now, meaning I can't draw, meaning I can't draw more stuff for this
Sorry...
#I'll try and type out more lore!!#But that means less visuals#(And sadly I was working on some actually...)#Rambling#Non-Floserd related

I made a background for my page!!
here’s the full background image, if anyone wants/wanted to see it!
(I found out it looks weird if you’re looking at it on the tablet version of the website, but it looks good on a computer)
(Idk how it looks on phone)
#Floserd art#my art#background art#Also the two Floserds drawn there are a plain quadrupedal floserd & a water floserd#the quadrupedal one is a yellow bell flower#the water one is a green lotus flower#Quadrupedal Floserd#Water Floserd#(It’s 2522x1482 if anyone wants to know)#(And it’ll fit fine on computers but not on tablets)#(and possibly not on phones) (in theory)

okay so I finally drew a quadrupedal Floserd, so here’s the 4 different types of Floserds:
Plain Floserd
ex. Chamomile (the Chamomile Floserd)
Tundra Floserd
ex. Unnamed (the Tundra Rose Floserd)
Water Floserd
ex. Lily (the Water Lily Floserd)
And finally
the Quadrupedal Floserd - Plain Floserd version
ex. Unnamed (the Milkthistle Floserd)
#Floserd art#my art#Plain Floserd#Tundra Floserd#Water Floserd#Quadrupedal Floserd#(there are also Quadrupedal Tundra Floserds but I didn’t draw one#…yet)#Also all Bipedal Floserds can go on all fours#but no Quadrupedal Floserds can go on twos#The Tundra Floserd ex and the Plain Quadrupedal Floserd ex still need names though

Okay I was gonna draw some things out to help, but I don’t feel like drawing rn (idk why, I strangely don’t wanna try and make some Floserds rn, hopefully I will soon), so I’ll share info with older drawings
Floserds are flower themed cows, as I explained vaguely before, but not with much information.
Floserds can be many different types of flowers, and some can produce tea (not milk). The tea’s probably, like, lukewarm when it comes out like that, so it’d have to be heated up (or cooled down, depending on the tea)
Not all floserds have udders, though. Some, like Chamomile, do, but some don’t.
There are also different types of Floserds. There’s the Floserds found in plains, the Floserds found in Tundras, and Floserds found in water (like lakes, oceans, etc.). There also also quadrupedal versions of the plain & tundra Floserds (the water ones are more like mermaids)
here’s an example of a Tundra one:
(If I remember this one’s based on a Tundra Rose)
here’s an example of a water one:
(This one’s based on the flower of a lily pad)
And I never drew a quadrupedal one so I’ll have to do that eventually, but it’s basically just a Floserd on all 4 legs instead of being bipedal
Eventually I’ll get into other topics, like:
Features they can have
Features they can’t have
Size
Lore/Origin
Lifespan
Diets
and extra stuff!!
Also, I guess I’ll clarify this now, even though they’re called ‘Flower cows’, basically they’re more like herbs, since they don’t have to be flowers, and can be other things like weeds (take that how you wish)
