My latest video discusses Taylor’s 2019 Failed Coming Out! I feel it becomes particularly clear that this was a failed attempt to come out when you look at everything together in a timeline.
I discuss things like why she would still be closeted, the importance of recognizing queerflagging especially with the direction the world has been going, and the fact that a huge percentage of our media has always been made by queer people.

People dismiss Taylor Swift theorycrafters as if pop music hasn’t ALWAYS had artistic, cultural, and often political statements…
People dismiss Gaylors as if we haven’t watched most of the artists we’ve loved since childhood eventually come out of the closet…
#gaylor#friends of dorothea#gaylor swift#swiftcraft theorist#lgbetty#sometimes the pattern recognition can’t be turned off#I’m the “can’t ignore gay themes flavor of autistic#I’m the “must use media to teach others how to recognize queer art kinda neurodivergent

I feel like more people nowadays need to be introduced to the films of John Waters. He really pushed the boundaries of what was and was not acceptable to be shown on film. In doing so, and in frequently collaborating with Baltimore drag icon Divine, he helped to make Divine into a household name. Without John Waters and Divine, Ursula from The Little Mermaid would have never existed.

I also believe John Waters being Baltimore's most noteworthy filmmaker, while flamboyantly gay & working with drag queens has lead the city to have a far more accepting stance when it comes to queerness. Queerness is literally why we're on the map, cinematically.

Whilst his work can be polarizing and even vomit inducing at points, it has very often been a great jumping off point for a lot of discussions about filth and depravity and gender and beauty and so, so much more.

I'm sad that with all the accessibility of filming equipment nowadays that we've not had a fitting successor to John Waters.

i dont want this post to be like one of those "if you arent talking about this then you're evil" moral ocd posts but. i gotta talk about this.
i only just today heard about Kumanjayi White, a 24 year old disabled Warlpiri man who was killed by northern territory police on May 27th. He was handcuffed and forced to the ground, face down, with an officers knee on his neck. He was walking around a grocery store, by himself. A worker at the grocery store described him, saying, "One look and you can tell he's got special needs".
A poor and disabled Aboriginal man was killed in the northern territory and i can't help but notice the similarities to George Floyd. Murdered in a public place, knee on the back of his neck. Only difference is i havent heard a word about this anywhere, in the news or otherwise, since it occured 2 and a half fucking weeks ago. where's the anger? i dont like making political posts, i hope this doesnt break containment its just. god its fucking pissing me off right now.

I've identified where the photo of the 2 people in Pride flags was taken: Portland Maine, in front of Port City Music Hall.
Insane coincidence time: the venue closed in 2020 because Covid.
The last band to play there was Against Me!
The universe truly is a Gaylor because there’s no way Taylor coulda planned that 🤣
So I know a lot of people have honed onto this scene from YNTCD. And iirc 2 other Gaylors have identified the images of Stonewall and the denim jacket, but the balloons pic and the people in Pride flags were not.
But I was stuck in bed today so I dug up the final 2.

One of these days I’ll figure out when they’re originally from, but I’m sleepy.

My silly little queer game about lesbians getting involved in ancient feuds between old gods is finally launching! On the 24th!
It's really REALLY choice driven - multiple endings and paths through the story, if you get into the lore you'll be playing it again and again.
AND it's super queer!
You can wishlist it here and there's a intro demo for it there too :)

One day ill find another dyke who loves me for my broken yapper heart
Dan and Phil are real proof that soulmates exist and that queer joy is possible and also that you can find love if you're depressed or chronically ill or also just annoying <3

you cannot talk about the homophobic murder of jonathan joss without including in the conversation that he is indigenous.
american indian men are at the 2nd highest risk of death by murder compared to all other ethnic groups. in their lifetimes, 82% of native men report having experienced domestic violence. yet the overwhelming majority of perpetrators are non-natives (88% of native men and 92% of native women who reported violence said their attacker was non-native). what’s more, tribal governments are often stymied in their attempts to bring justice against non-natives, meaning that many of these cases go unresolved.
this was an intersectional attack. the fact that he is indigenous matters, even if the motivation was homophobic, because it made him even more vulnerable and disposable in the eyes of his killer.
as always, look into MMIWP to learn more, and speak up for us. miigwetch, take care

Working on a video for BOTH Failed Coming Out’s and have been finding photos where she’s styled increasingly queer in the lead up…
I’ve previously shared a bunch from 2014 in my Lost Masc Era posts, but here are some from 2019 that don’t get shared as often…

…this picture alone should prove she’s not a straight woman lol

This outfit is giving sapphic… from the denim to the mesh shirt to the sequins to the shaggy wavy hair… I also love how much mirror/shatter imagery is here

Another look at the aforementioned outfit…

Closeting yellow and a discussion of the return of camp? Sounds pretty gay to me…

Blazer over rainbow dress/tights

I have no idea what she’s actually wearing here but it feels gay and again the shatter imagery

One of her SNL fits

Kinda transitional outfit from Rep to Lover. I wish I had more angles of this cause it looks like some menswear inspired garment with mirrors?

This dress has always giving me hyper femme sapphic vibes, but seeing that she wore it with some shit kicking boots makes it even gayer…

Fletcher's recent release, Boy, has been extremely polarizing across the queer community. From the decision to release it on Pride Month, the way the song itself gives "please don't be mad" vibes more than "I'm so in love" vibes, and the extremely tonedeaf advertising campaign, there are a number of things worth discussing. I discuss why so many fans are mad, why I believe she's gone this direction, and some of my *many* concerns about Fletcher and her future in my latest!
