Do gods age? Like, they get gray hairs, lines on their faces, etc

That's actually a great question!

As I said, what takes apart mortals and demi-immortals is the fact that Demi-immortals stop psychically aging at some point.

And demi-gods and gods have it the same!

But they can grow wrinkles and eye bags when stressed, or get more skinny when not eating well.

Their skin can get worse with time too.

But the main gods are a different kind.

Its important to understand that the difference between a god and a main god isn't only in power but also in psychical and soul sense.

Main gods age a lot slower than a mortal in a psychical sense, but even slower in mental.

When they reach some point, they, similar to gods stop aging psychically.

But mentally they still grow.

Main God years are counted a lot different.

If we count the first gods as adults when they died (lets say 30), then Reaper and Life are right now 15 in mental human years.

Ink and Error are 14,

While Nightmare and Dream are 7.

They still behave like adults, act like adults and are partly adult-like.

But their personalities aren't fully developed and their learning capabilities are very similar to a child of said age.

I also want to say, that doesn't mean they are still children and necessary childish. It is complicated, and take them still as adults.

Srry alcor, i took the opportunity to yap about mental age, but to shorten it, they dont age psychically from one point at all. If they grow too stressed or something, it might make them look older.

Also if gods or main gods were supposed to lose their powers(immortality) then yes, they would age, but a little slower.

The Legend of the first Gods.

[lore drop for Pieces of Power]

For millions of years, a simple legend was told. A story based on truth! Unsure how true it really is now, this story has been passed from generations to generations. Some gods even correcting or agreeing with it.

When the first world was created, with it the two gods.

The god of Light, and the god of Dark.

Originally, with no name nor status, all the god of Light did was to create Aus, lives of all beings, and spread positive energy all through the Multiverse. while the god of Dark was destroying Aus with glitches or mistakes in their system, taking lives of beings that reached their end of the cycle, and to balance positivity he was spreading negativity.

Later on, as the multiverse grew one by one, the gods themselves developed more and more, but even with all the power they had, the more Aus, the more exhaustion was brought upon them.

One day, they both realized their powers weren't enough to keep the multiverse running, so the god of Dark ripped a piece of the power enveloping his soul, and the god of Light did the same.

After that the god of light took both pieces and created two new souls from them, creating the first of the first generation of gods

Life and Death.

While the two young gods learned how to work with their new roles, the first gods had been given a bit of breath, a time to spare before they grew exhausted again.

This time, it come too far, and the multiverse slowly started collapsing.

Then a mortal came, a mortal that made a deal with the two dying gods, he was given three powers.

The power of Power (lmao), the power of Existence, and the power of Faith.

Those powers were a key to holding the multiverse together, now that he was the one carrying this burden, the two gods collapsed.

Their souls shattering and exploding into millions of pieces, their power, shattered too and fell all over the multiverse.

It took years for the now self crowned King to find all the pieces of power left behind the collapse of both gods, meanwhile some of them already took root and all alone created Souls that later become the gods we know today.

Some people say, the two souls haven't actually shattered, and are still somewhere waiting to be found, and for the first gods to awaken from their long slumber.

But that's all just debates.

The only person that was present that day, was the King himself.

Who knows what the real truth is?

Fun facts and details:

Both gods originally never had a name nor a gender, Frynre and Renee were names that people started to call them after they 'died'.

They never cared for things as gender, so its possible to refer to them in any way anyone wishes to, the most common ways are she/her for the god of light, and he/him for the god of Dark.

That comes from the nicknames they were given, as Frynre is also called the 'Mother' and Renee the 'Father' leading to people to refer to them in female and male pronouns.

The only people that actually had a long going contact with them were Reaper and Life, they referred to them as Ma' and Pa'.

(They both learned that from observing mortal families)

The legend is to be taken lightly, no one is 100% sure how it was and the people that know the most are Reaper, Life and the King.

To this day the first gods have shrines all over the multiverse, also festivals and holidays are held in their names.
