On this year women's day, all we could think about are Palestinian women in Gaza.

Nearly 9,000 women have been killed in Israeli attacks in five months. Another 2,100 are missing and presumed dead, while 23,000 have been wounded and over half a million are displaced.
“Palestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, are exposed to the worst humanitarian catastrophe,” Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesperson, said on Thursday.
Dozens of women and girls have also been detained and face harsh conditions in Israeli custody, including sexual abuse.
Women in Gaza also struggle to find menstruation products and access the necessary pregnancy and post-natal care. The consequences on reproductive health, including a rise in stress-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births, have increased significantly.
Women in labour are undergoing caesarean procedures without anaesthetics, and a shortage of post-operative care such as medication, antibiotics and pain relief further exacerbates the situation.
According to the health ministry, 5,000 women give birth monthly in Gaza under “harsh, unsafe and unhealthy” conditions caused by Israeli bombing and displacement.
There are 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffering from “malnutrition, dehydration and lack of medical care.
There have also been repeated cases of Israeli soldiers mocking Palestinian women by posting videos and pictures of themselves rummaging through personal belongings in Gaza homes, making derogatory comments and posing with women’s underwear.

Go back to where you came from, colonizer
If this is in reference to what I have been saying about the Israel situation, then you calling me a colonizer is really hilarious.

People were Antisemitic before Israel existed and a neonazi tried to kill me in college in 2020 when most people (and TBH probably your ignorant ass) did not give a shit about Palestinians and couldn't even point to Israel on a map (which most of y'all still can't do lmfao). You're the one saying all Jews are responsible for Israel by saying Israel created Antisemitism. You're an Antisemite.
Of course antisemitism has always existed, I never implied otherwise. All Jews are not responsible for Israel, but that specific post was talking about Israel. They literally said "It's so strange being a student at a leftist college right now." Why specifically a leftist college? Why right now? The only events that have happened recently that would make sense is the continued oppression of the Palestinians by the Israeli government. And it's "strange" because leftists typically try to be allies to the Jewish community but many of them are starting to act as bad as those on the far right. These events and situations don't exist in a vacuum.
And I want to end this response by saying you are absolutely right. That there was a time in my life when I didn't care about the oppression of the Palestinians, when I supported Israel and their cause because I believed that the land was rightfully theirs. But that isn't the true reality of the situation. After actually learning about the entire history of that area, I now realize that the Israeli government really has no right to do what they are doing. I don't support anyone's life being upended or destroyed, especially because a 2000 year old book that is mostly based on fiction.

Nowhere did anyone say that what the OP was going through was ok. Just simply explaining why it is happening. Read between the lines. What is currently happening is basically a repeat of what happened after 9/11. Innocent Jews are being attacked because peoples fears are getting the best of them and preventing them from seeing the bigger picture. Because of the actions of the Israeli gov, innocent Jews are suffering. Of course, there's many other factors at play like blatant hatred and racism, but whether OP realizes it or not, the actions of their peers are partly a result from current events. And @bicokun's response was absolutely valid. Perhaps the language may have seemed generalizing, but I'm pretty sure their statement was directed at the government of Israel, not the everyday people. And no, I'm not going to listen to anything the Israeli gov. tells me because they're just a bunch of UN backed terrorists. Just like America :)
It’s so strange being a student at a really leftist college right now. I briefly mention being Jewish in a classroom in which we’re specifically talking about marginalized identities and I can literally see people around me, my colleagues and “friends”, wrinkle their noses in disgust. I’ve stopped wearing my Magen David because I’m afraid of what people would think and I feel disgusted with myself for being weak but the last time I wore it someone spit on me. Everyone at my school proudly wears their “punch nazis” patches as they tell me that I’m supporting genocide by saying Baruch HaShem when the corner store has my favorite breakfast.

Ok but OPs post was literally about the Israel conflict. The reason why they are facing these issues with their peers IS because of that conflict. The other person was simply pointing out that if people didn't conflate Israel with all Jews then the OP would not be experiencing as much antisemitism.

25 was quite literally the best year of my life. And while I agree that it is only the best so far, I can't agree that my 20s is the worst decade. That title goes to my teens.
the glorification of your 20s and fear of anything else has got to stop. mainly bc your 20s is quite literally the worst decade of your life the idea that ppl think you peak at 25 has me so sad for them

About Loser, Baby
When I first heard this song, I didn't like it very much, and I still kind of don't. I think it is great musically, but I don't really like the lyrics and can't really resonate with it. I really struggled with understanding the side of people who enjoy the song and say that it makes them feel better about their situation. But after reading different posts and remembering some important info, I think I finally understand. And it just comes down to different traumas and how individual people react differently to them. The song works for Angel and a lot of others who perceive their trauma in a similar way to him. But for me, the lyrics of the song conflict directly with my perceptions of my trauma, and end up making me feel worse about the situation I went through. At the end of the day, I still don't like it and I probably never will, but it's a good song and the lyrics can be helpful to a lot of people.

Maybe its not victim blaming, but it is not compassionate. Angel is not a "whiney bitch" for being in a bad situation. And implying that he's in that situation and acting the way he is for clout is very problematic imo. People believe they are alone in their suffering because society makes them believe that they are alone, not because they think theyre better than everyone else.
I am genuinely so tired of people trying to make "Loser, Baby" out to be some sort of victim-blaming song??
It's not "well this is your own fault", it's "yeah you're in a fucked up situation and you're not dealing with it very healthily but hey I'm in the same boat, at least we got each other"
Like. "But letting walls down it can sometimes set you straight" "If we eat shit together things will end up differently" "It's time to lose your self-loathing, excuse yourself, let hope in, baby play your card, be who you are" Did we listen to the same song.

OMG!! I just realized that the Kallura Your Name AU could work in the canonverse!! Imagine Allura and Keith switching bodies and their timeline is out of sync, but instead of being three years out of sync like Mitsuha and Taki, Keith and Allura are 10,000 years out of sync. Not to mention they’re millions of light years away from each other. Keith is 15 at the time it happens and they switch places a few times a week for about a month, until one day it suddenly stops (because Allura was put to sleep) In this AU, Keith can’t do anything to stop the Galra from destroying Altea like Taki could stop the comet, and Keith eventually forgets the experience. That is until a few years later he gets sent into space by a magic lion with the others and they stumble upon an alien princess…
