⭐️ why is nostalgia the warmest feeling in the world? 🌙
pt. 2 of liminal spaces //
In part one I briefly discussed my feelings towards liminal spaces and opened the discussion for others to share how they feel.
I want to emphasize the feeling of security and safety I have when I see liminal spaces. I would go so far as to say that I based many decisions in my own life on liminal spaces. I currently work in a hospital, because as a child I was drawn to their empty long hallways, with the droning hum of fluorescent lights, and blank white walls. I always knew I wanted to work in a hospital for that indescribable feeling I received when peering down the corridors or just being in a outdated waiting room alone. My favorite video games even feature lots of liminal spaces that I just enjoy standing in whilst playing the game. To say that I am spellbound by liminal spaces would be an understatement. Any nostalgia in general creates a similar feeling of enchantment but liminal spaces take this one step further, evoking a feeling that I would never want to part from.
Does anyone else experience a similar feeling?
