Triggered by Thirteen Reasons Why

Being bullied is the least thing you'd ever want especially at school. But I was there too, being bullied by my grade 1 and grade 6 classmates and in Highschool too (this is the first time I am putting this out in the open). Mean girls at school really do exist somewhere out there and luckily, (well unfortunately) I experienced them first-hand.

Back when I was in Grade 1, I don't remember why these two girls hated me, fast forward, they pushed me at the stairs, I ended up losing a tooth. Up to this day, I didn't hear a "Sorry" from them. But then, life goes on.

Grade 6. Nobody ever dreamed of a hellish school experience. I was a transferee. I came from a private school and that's the only year i ever been to a public school. I was scared but I didn't know I'd be scared for a reason. A group of girls (yeah, probably more than 5) would constantly gossip about me, would randomly write me a letter (how sweet?!) how i wish it was a letter of admiration. But no. It was a letter of why they hate me or more so "why everyone actually hates me". I read the letter shaking but holding my tears. Went home with heavy shoulders and cried. But threw the letter anyway. Just like Hannah from 13 Reasons Why (Still on Episode 6), she kept her struggles of being bullied from her parents. Just like me, I would be a normal elementary student thinking about play and whatnots in the eyes of my parents. But at the earliest age of 6, I was bullied. I remember crying almost everyday back in Grade 6. I don't understand how could girls of my age that time (11or12) could have so much hatred and anger towards me.

That didn't stop in Highschool. I remember being gossiped even before I actually went to that school (studied in Dvo for 4months in 1st yr). I heard that I snubbed a popular 3rd HS student then. (Wtf, di pako nakakapasok actually sa school na yun nakapag snob na ako haha) and all the residues of the elementary gossips about me. I remember someone would write "butong" on some of my workbooks, or unli stabbed my name being on the bulletin board or a photo of me with some other clubmates posted on our club bulletin being crashed out. But thanks to my very mean grade 6 shenanigans I knew how to handle bullies in HS. I got by just fine. It was when in College i found the peace I have been longing for all my life. But thank God and heavens that "Peace" didn't mean Forever and Eternal peace of me choosing to end my own life just so it will stop. I never ever had that thought anyway.

So yeah. Bullying and bullies exist. It's how we handle these bullies and bullying that is really crucial. Get out of that dark place alive. Life is so much more, the world is beautiful and I chose to stay alive and run fast to see the light at the end of the very dark road I was once in. ❤️

ps. Yep still didn't get a "Sorry" from the grade 6 mean girls and HS bullies.
