open to: any location: somewhere in gangnam connection: any plot: jingjing... spits on you
truly there is not a good explanation for everything. and when you’re jingjing? there is rarely ever a good explanation for any of his actions. he often thinks of his doing as making sense, as good, but if you had common sense you’d know jingjing is a complete idiot, not something to argue about, it’s a fact. there had been quite many times that jingjing has done something stupid and then it ended up affecting others. there was that time where he crawled into a tree and had to be saved from a stranger, or the many times he has started fires and then others having to put them out, point is, if you have jingjing in your life expect the unexpected. actually, even if you didn’t have jingjing in your life, you should beware that he might get into it.
now. now what was the dumb thing he had done today that ended up affecting someone else? jingjing was pretty sure he looked around before doing this, but apparently not well enough. he had taken down his mask, and then? then he spat, just to see how long he could spit. did not make much sense, but to jingjing it did. and you may now ask, but how does this affect someone else? well, his spit landed right on someone else. immediately he took up his mask, he wasn’t about to be known as the idol who spat on others. slowly he walked over to the other, he changed his voice before speaking, now speaking with a lower tone. “oh… did a bird poop on you?” maybe, just perhaps if he was lucky, the other would think it was bird poop and not jingjing’s spit.

.fmdyul
yul grinned proudly at the comment, as if he’d been watching his own child finding their own worth in the world. damn right they were two pretty dudes, there was no doubt about that. “exactly,” yul replied, punctuating his statement with a firm nod - if there was anything that he didn’t doubt, it was the fact that he was pretty, “you keep on reminding yourself of that and you’ll be unstoppable. i love hearing that i’m pretty from other people but i look in the mirror when i wake up in the morning every day and tell myself that i’m gorgeous - that way i don’t have to care about what anyone else says because i know that i’m hot.”
the other boy probably wouldn’t care too much about his wealth, but considering he’d already started it, yul might as well continue spreading his wisdom. “of course,” he shrugged, “if you have money then you’ll always have everything you need. the basics like food and housing are a given, but then you can treat yourself to all the nice things. i always like to buy myself new clothes to make me happy, for example.” this was ignoring the fact that yul’s life was, in fact, not as happy and perfect as he tried to make people believe it was. “i’ll check it out, don’t you worry. you guys at least didn’t put disrespect on the 7th sense’s name so i have faith that you’ll do well.”
yul could only reply with a shrug in response. “well, we can’t be perfect at everything like i am,” he sighed, as if the idea of being good at everything he did was such a burden. “there’s nothing wrong with not being good at rapping, especially as a main vocal. that’s already impressive enough.”
out of all of jingjing’s charms, he really did pick his face to be the reason for everything. did someone like him? his face. did someone hate him? jealous of his face. did he want something? he would get it because of his face. that was basically jingjing’s way of thinking, everything that he had gained or lost in his life had something to do with his face. and for someone so confident in their face, it was hard to admit that other people were pretty too, but here he was, having admitted it, and suddenly realizing he wasn’t the only one in the world who had a weird obsession over how pretty they were. “ah” a silence grew for a second as he thought about what to say “its good you know your pretty, i think being as pretty as us is hard though” jingjing placed his hands on his hips while looking up, thinking.
for a second jingjing stood there, thinking to himself that he should perhaps flirt with the other, that way he could gain wealth too, but then again, wasn’t he doing fine without being wealthy? jingjing shrugged at himself, was he was he not. jingjing smiled when the other said he would check them out “ah… the seventh sense performance…” jingjing was forever thankful that he hadn’t ended up in that group, if he had perhaps he wouldn’t have ended up in vive. “it was something… well i mean, i would be happy to just have someone cover our song but… you must have had many people cover your songs? both good and bad covers” jingjing nodded smilingly
“i think, as long as i have my face i’ll be okay though” jingjing rubbed his chin “pretty sure that i could be a terrible vocal and people would still pretend i’m good because of my face…” he giggled at the sad truth. “which position in your group are you?”
it’s not hard to tell that jingjing isn’t the smartest person in the world, forgetting everything, getting out in dumb situations and getting lost is a sure for something that happens every day to jingjing. he might as well just could have it on his to do list because then he’d at least get something checked off on it. but as said, jingjing isn’t the smartest, hence he’s lost. jingjing isn’t sure how it happened, one moment he was posing, another moment he was looking for a toilet, and he did find a toilet, but when he exited it, he had no idea about where he was. jingjing scratches his head, he looks to all sides, how could he be so stupid and get lost?
it was weird, this was one of his first filmings besides the ones he had done for vive, not that this was a solo thing completely, because he was still here with his members. jingjing reminds himself that next time he goes to wander off he will drag one of his members with him, that was he won’t get lost (that or they’ll both get lost). and just as jingjing is in his own world, he bumps into someone ( @fmdyul ) , oh fuck. jingjing bows and a sorry escapes his lips. jingjing looks at the other’s face and just like basically all the other faces here, he doesn’t recognize it at all, can’t put any name on it. jingjing realizes how long he has been staring, and that it’s a bit weird so he decides to introduce himself. “uh sorry, i am vive’s xingxing” he bows once again.

.fmdhyunsoo
the universe must be playing some sort of joke on him, hyunsoo thought. it had to be the case with the way that all of the people who surrounded him in his life were, for the most part, absolutely chaotic. first it was his older sister, then his best friend from back home, then yuanjun, and then a good chunk of the industry after that. now, on a day that hyunsoo just wanted a peaceful time, he was made to cross paths with yet another interesting specimen. did people really just burst into song and dance in the middle of a public place like this? of course, he was no stranger to performing in public, but this was different.
it was even more surprising when the other boy burst into laughter and gently hit him. hyunsoo didn’t think his joke had been that funny, but he supposed he couldn’t complain - after all, the other option would have been the two of them stood there in awkward silence. was he a comedian? not really. though if you asked hyunsoo, he did sometimes feel like a clown in a circus being forced to perform for people’s entertainment. he tilted his head to the side before shaking his it. “no, not a comedian…” he replied. “i mean, i have to admit, i’m kind of surprised you don’t recognise me considering the song you were singing…”
whether jingjing was excellent or terrible with humans was actually a pretty good question. jingjing did not remember anyone names’ nor faces’, no actually jingjing was so poor at remembering that even at times he would forget his members names and there probably were some times where he forgot his own name. to the point, in which ways was jingjing good with humans? well, he was charming, he seemed to make friends easily, and he is a sweet prankster. and what made it lean more towards that jingjing wasn’t good with humans? well… he was also kind of annoying, without realizing thinking he was way closer to people than he was, he would forget their names and he would be a pain in the ass simply by getting himself in trouble all the time.
however if you asked jingjing, he’d say it would make your life better if you had him in your life, or well, at least more interesting. the boy had so calmly hit the other with no idea whatsoever of who he was. and when the other said he’s surprised he didn’t recognize jingjing’s eyes widened and a rush of panic ran through his veins. “noo of course i know you” a simple lie, jingjing had no idea. “you are…” silence. he coughed, “you’re my friend of course!” jingjing placed a hand on the other’s shoulder. “hi friend, i am jingjing”.
date: some time in april location: gangnam @fmdxingxing
charm’s discography was okay. hyunsoo wasn’t a big fan of the boys-next-door vibe they had from debut, but the fact that they were starting to experiment a little bit and try new styles left him satisfied enough to not complain too much. so far, he’d enjoyed performing fearless, though he really didn’t understand why they thought it was a good idea to make him of all people climb over his members mid-song. still, that wasn’t so bad in the scheme of things; if you had asked hyunsoo what song was possibly his least favourite, he’d probably have to say aju nice.
now, it wasn’t that he felt like it was a bad song per say. it had been fun to perform and it was one of their better known songs, but that was all overshadowed by the time they’d - for some reason - done an almost 20 minute encore that was just purely the chorus over and over again. not to mention the song was a bad omen with the way that it had left hyunsoo sprinting back onto stages when he was halfway backstage more often than not. it was a song that haunted him in his dreams, and the less he heard it, the better. unfortunately, it seemed to follow him everywhere he went, an automatic sense of dread running down his spine when he heard the song being belted out by someone near by. “what on earth?” hyunsoo said maybe a little too loudly - he could only hope that no one actually recognised him and tried to make him join in.

.fmdsooah
Xingxing shouldn’t be that much younger than Sooah, but even so, she thinks it’s cute how he seemed to struggle a little bit, in the beginning, to match the name to the song and how genuine his reaction seemed to be. Sooah even indulged a little bit by doing a little bit of the choreography from the chorus of Psycho. “That’s right, that was our latest comeback. It has been a while since then, but I’m glad to see it still sticks out with you,” she says truthfully as Sooah claps her hands behind her back.
“It’s always a little difficult when you’re starting, so I wanted to check on you guys, see if you’re doing well? It can be quite overwhelming, but I’m in the company building almost always since I have practice, so I wanted to let you know that if you need anything, just hit me up, I can try and help,” of course, Sooah wasn’t the most reliable type of person because of her clumsiness and other things too, but she’s an idol for much longer than Xing, and she’d want to be someone’s reliable senior for once. “What you’re up to right now? Practice?”
jingjing did not really know of that many groups and idols, and for being an idol himself, that to be honest was quite weird. jingjing has no idea how he actually knows that the song psycho is from fuse, he normally doesn’t remember the artists name of the songs he knows and plays. and to top it off, not only did he know the song, he also knew some of the choreography. jingjing chuckled, thereafter smiled proudly at himself. “it’s a good song” jingjing’s sends the other a smile “i think i could continue listening to it for forever”.
jingjing’s smile vanishes though, because suddenly the other is speaking too many words at once and jingjing can’t keep up anymore. he tries to gather what he can, understand and remember few words, and then when she is done talking he repeats the words in his head, tries to form sentences. “help? thank you… i will help you too” jingjing nods aggressively while smiling. “ah, what am i doing?” jingjing looks around, sees himself in the mirror and then scratches the back of his neck. “i… i think i forgot” he looks at the other again.
jingjing didn’t think becoming an idol completely through. he just saw origin’s idol music video and decided that was what he wanted to do, he didn’t think through if he was able to do it. jingjing learned quickly that when it came to dancing, he was fairly quickly to pick up on the dancing, he would see it and then he was able to memorize it, however the next day he would have forgotten it all just as quickly as he remembered it. and this? this was surely a struggle when one wanted to become an idol, no jingjing’s poor memory wasn’t of any help when it came to the idol life. it was march and april was coming up, april, the month jingjing was debuting in, and it just seemed so close, jingjing felt like he had barely any time to prepare. and this thing with forgetting so easily, was really making it harder than it already was, every day jingjing stayed behind to practice just a bit more, some days it would end up becoming 3am before jingjing would even get dinner.
and as per usual, jingjing was practicing alone again, fear that his members would judge him for having forgotten the dances once again. it was all clap when jingjing just picked up the dances immediately, but when jingjing returned the next day with no memory of the dance basically there was no more any clapping. jingjing looked in the mirror, he was sweating, he still looked good though (as always), and just as he was taking a quick break the door opened. an unfamiliar face ( @fmdsooah ) popped in, and though jingjing was technically under gold star for now, he still barely knew of any faces. though the face was unfamiliar jingjing decided to bow and do his familiar and common line “hello i am vive’s xingxing”

as the person jingjing is, he can’t be good at something without also being terrible at it. doesn’t make much sense when you say it, but, trust me, it makes sense, there’s not a single thing jingjing is good at that he isn’t also very good at messing up at. jingjing, yes jingjing would call himself a good cook, after all he lived alone for a while and had to cook for himself almost every day, so he indeed was able to cook. but his skill in cooking did never stop him from also being terrible at cooking, there had been times where jingjing’s food instead of tasting good had gone straight to the trash. and truly, it was more often than one would think that he ended up making fires.
jingjing had invited someone over, sehoon, from charm, a group jingjing liked a lot. he had asked his members to stay away from the kitchen as he warned them he would cook and he didn’t want them to steal his food. now that he stood here, he realized nobody was going to steal his food, because it was burning. jingjing looks to the side, sending the other an awkward smile “i think i started a fire” the male says calmly. the fire alarm doesn’t bother him, he simply walks over and turns it off. “ah to be frank with you sehoon, i have no idea where a fire extinguisher in this apartment would be”. jingjing smiles, calmly, his members haven’t shown up, they probably know it’s “just” another fire by jingjing. “i don’t know if he have one, i wish though, because we sure start a lot of fires” or more so, he started a lot of fires. jingjing walked over to the couch, grabbed a blanket and came back.
“this should work” he said before throwing the blanket onto the fire, making it stop. he yawned before looking at the other “should we order food from outside” he smiled.
hot mess✰
some free time in april 2021 with @fmdxingxing
having a mom who works a chef (even if they didn’t spend as much time as he would have liked) and growing up loving the craft almost as much as the career he’s chosen, sehoon prides himself in learning his way around the kitchen enough not to set anything on fire on a regular basis, and he thinks that’s a good thing. he also likes cooking for his members and friends, happy to hear that they enjoy the food that he makes and takes careful notes on their tastes. it’s something he enjoys doing and therefore do not expect anything in return. still, when jingjing tells him he’ll be cooking for him, out of sheer happiness and surprise, he smiles and says “okay!”
now, sehoon isn’t exactly expecting anything big. he’s happy at the mere thought of someone cooking for him for a change. if anything, he’s excited, wondering what food jingjing is going to make until he hears a noise, a familiar and annoying alarm beeping. he’s our of his seat in a heartbeat.
“what?! what-” sehoon halts, eyes wide. the fire alarm blaring in the background was an obvious indicator of what’s happening before he even got there. the panic hits him before anything else but his body, thankfully, begins to calm itself down long enough for his brain to function. “i- are you okay? calm down- where’s your fire extinguisher?”

following jingjing obediently, max couldn’t help but grin into the camera. his eyes still look a little lost but he’s still carrying himself with a laid back confidence. he had seen a lot in his days both in germany and korea. max doubted there was a lot that could actually still shock him.
so going along with the younger’s antics he couldn’t help but slightly pinch jingjing’s cheek, exhaling a low chuckle while calling him cute under his breath. “the brownies are that good, huh? why did you not make them for me earlier then, huh,” he still joking, jesting teasingly while nudging the younger. there is still not the slightest idea in his head that the sweet male could intend to be pranking him.
jingjing, jingjing who was a whole twenty year old, he? he got babied and called cute a whole lot. jingjing wasn’t sure what made people do it, why so many people liked the idea of jingjing being that innocent little brother. but he didn’t completely mind, being babied so much often at time gave him compliments and free food. jingjing looks at max when the other pinches his cheek “max?” he asks calmly, “has it ever come to your mind that, that i am actually a whole twenty year old” he doesn’t really mind the babying from max’ side, but he does wonder where it comes from.
jingjing drags max into a room, he places the camera on the table where a plate with paper covered over also stands. he places it to be able to film them both, he then nods towards the plate. “go on, remove the paper and look at the great brownies i made for you” a smile grows on jingjing’s lips upon knowing what is about to happen.
this was definitely the definition of unbelievable. one of the boys who had changed jingjing’s life, was now one of jingjing’s…. friends? let’s rewind a little here. back when jingjing was nineteen, something happened for the boy that changed his life, and that was that origin’s music video for idol popped into his recommended. jingjing watched it and was immediately in love, he immediately decided that was what he wanted to do. and origin is to be honest probably the only group where jingjing can recognize all the members, knows all the songs and dances, and much more, origin is basically a part of jingjing’s life purpose. they give him more than just one reason to stay alive.
and jingjing knew that after getting into vive and being managed by gold star that he would most likely get to meet some of the origin members, but he was still surprised and almost died upon it happening. meeting max was like a dream come true, and the two of them now being friends was something jingjing had never imagined.
there was that base thing, the base online thing, and jingjing decided to include max ( @fmdxmax ) in one of his videos, which? the prank of course. jingjing firmly held a camera in his hand and went around searching for his now friend, upon seeing the other he called out “max! max! come here, i made you brownies!!” jingjing smiled proudly upon knowing that this was a prank and the other didn’t know. jingjing grabbed the other’s wrist and immediately began walking while filming the two “i’m going to film your reaction for how good they are, i really used a lot of time on them”

.yunhofmd
Not many people would know this since he’s often quiet but Yunho speaks multiple languages. He was born in Korea but raised in Japan when he was younger and he can remember how hard it was learning Japanese. The good thing though was that he was a much more excitable and ‘happier’ person as a child compared to how he is now. Part of him wondered if this kid came from overseas given the way he spoke Korean. Plus, he had a kind of foreign look about him. It was oddly charming. He nodded once. ❝ Yeah, climb down. It isn’t as hard as you think. ❞
Yo be honest, Yunho’s neck was hurting from staring up at the male stuck in the tree. He rubbed the back of his neck to massage it. His eyebrow raised slightly when he heard English. Thankfully, that was one of the languages that he knew and so conversing with the kid shouldn’t be as hard now. ❝ Thanks, ❞ he replied in English. ❝ I’ve had it since I was born, ❞ he tried to joke but failed. ❝ My neck is getting sore now dude. Just come down. Or do I need to come up and rescue you like a lost cat? ❞ If English was going to make this guy comfortable then Yunho was going to speak it.
jingjing, as per usual, would talk without thinking. and even if he was thinking of what he was saying, most often and likely it still sounded dumb. he did kind of think through his compliment to the other, what he did not think through was how weird it was to compliment another’s head. face? that was normal. head shape? kind of okay to compliment. but just the head in general? not something people would often get compliments on. still, jingjing smiled proudly at himself, happy that he had done a nice thing today.
the other began speaking in english, and a breeze of relief came through jingjing, now actually, jingjing was willing to sit here and speak with the other for hours. jingjing did not react to the somewhat joke the other said, he, he did not completely understand, so for a few a silence just grew. “well dude, if i could get down i would’ve” jingjing leaned on the tree “so yes some help would be nice, i’ll be a cat if you want me to” for someone who definitely hated vive’s song ‘cat n dog’ that was weird to say but whatever. and at last of course, he meows “meow” he says loudly while looking down at the other.
open to: any location: somewhere in gangnam connection: any plot: jingjing gets stuck in a tree and asks you for help..
it’s easy to tell, jingjing is kind of an idiot, a big one, not in the sense that he’s mean (at least not on purpose), but that he does stupid stuff, gets dumb ideas. it’s not exactly that jingjing feels famous, but he likes to feel it anyways, so he often puts a mask and hoodie on when he goes outside, not that he gets recognized that often, but he still sometimes do. back to jingjing being an idiot, what had he done now that was an idiot stunt? you see…
fruit is often a life saver for jingjing and he eats it often, he has a special bond with fruit in a way. so upon seeing an apple tree he really couldn’t help it. the poor male who wasn’t the tallest couldn’t reach the apples, so, so he got another idea. he was somewhat strong and quite flexible, to put it shorter and simpler, he had crawled upon the apple tree. and no, nothing was wrong with climbing an apple tree, right? but that wasn’t the problem here, no the problem was that jingjing couldn’t seem to get down again.
he had probably sat there for around ten minutes, and he was so bored that he had starting humming and dancing wish’ fancy. and then to his luck, he finally saw someone pass by the tree. “hey! hey!” jingjing half-shouted out “yeah up here” jingjing giggled. “i’m stuck” he said it as simple as it was.

-durifmd
it always seemed to be something that duri couldn’t help. maybe because, when he was younger, he was always taken care of by the rest of his family. so, something that lit a fire in him, where he had just become really caring himself, and wanted to take care of others. maybe it was just something that was always apart of his personality because his family had said that even when he was younger, he liked to take extra care of his plushies as if they were alive. however, that isn’t something that he really remembers until after he was five-years-old - a memory lost. nonetheless, he was just sure to double check on the other when they had gone down, just because he was worried that he had somehow gotten injured.
while duri is very much a really nice person, he was still very genuine in the things that he would say. when he complimented you, he really meant it, it wasn’t just something he was saying to be nice. he really is just a very genuine person - even though that may be hard to believe with how most people are, especially the people in this industry. a giggle left his lips, his head shaking a bit. “ah… i really not that cool,” he said, still giggling a bit. he shook his head, “i don’t! but, i think there’s a pen and paper around here.”
jingjing? jingjing surely wasn’t the smartest, he saw up to people who he could barely remember the name and faces off. he loved charm, wish and knight incredibly much, yet he still had yet to be able to remember all their names and faces. it was actually kind of embarrassing, wasn’t it? perhaps, but even if it was jingjing wasn’t the type to put too much thought into it. he was however, able to recognize duri after having met him before, and that? that was a big thing for jingjing, he smiled a bit, proud of himself upon finally recognizing another idol, even if it wasn’t the first meeting.
truly jingjing kind of felt like fainting, he was overrun by emotions, he found his situation too incredibly, too unimaginable, and perhaps also a little embarrassing since he had run into the other. no getting the other’s autograph wasn’t just a want, it was a need. “i am really big fan of you!” jingjing smiled bigly to the other “my members would be so jealous if i got your autograph!!” he swung a little from left to right out of excitement. “i want to ask something…” jingjing felt a slight rose turn upon his cheeks “how are you so good at singing?”
no today jingjing felt like he had seen more idols than he could count. and… it was quite embarrassing because jingjing barely knew of any idols, so it was kind of like… he just had to guess his way into knowing who were idols and who were not, and truly today he had probably guessed wrongly more than once, thinking staff were idols and idols were staffs. however the poor jingjing who barely knew of any idols kept trying his best in figuring out who was what. on the positive side, jingjing had today heard of a lot more new groups, not that they were new, he just didn’t know of before them before, but then again. he would most likely forget all these faces and group names again soon.
now another thing that has happened a little too many times is jingjing running into people, and somehow countless of times those people have been idols. jingjing isn’t usually clumsy, he doesn’t usual just run into people, but today has been different. maybe it’s the rush, the rush of meeting so many idols at once, even if he doesn’t know of them he feels nervous. and it happens again, jingjing runs into someone ( @durifmd ) , this time falling too, right on his bum. the pretty face gives it away, it could be a staff, but this surely looks like an idol. oh gosh, jingjing had run into an idol once again, hadn’t he? “ah, i am sorry” jingjing says. jingjing before he even has stood up bows down, his head almost touches the floor and jingjing feels kind of embarrassed “i am vive’s xingxing”, the usual line comes and then jingjing begins standing up.

jingjing himself didn’t feel too good about his height, and it was actually rather rare for him to mention it. he was well aware that he wasn’t the tallest, and it did seem like he was very little taller than the other, still, the word flew out without much thinking, he just felt like needing to say something, to prove he wasn’t a kid. but he very much did regret having indirectly calling the other short when he learned who the other was. how? how could he have been so stupid? how did he not realize who the other was before? he liked charm, and he knew quite many of their dances, and aju nice was on his playlist. yet he was so bad at names and faces that he couldn’t even recognize any member of charm.
this wasn’t his first time meeting a charm member, but it was surely as embarrassing for jingjing as the first he met a charm member. jingjing leaned his head back for a second, looked up like he was about to give up. he felt stupid, once more, perhaps he should just learn to shut up every now and then. he looked at the other, an awkward smile grew on his lips. jingjing however breathes peacefully when the other says ‘forgive and forget’, it’s not exactly what jingjing is used to, but in this moment he would like to go by that motto. so jingjing nods, sends the other a smile.
jingjing bowed down, ninety degrees to be exact, and then for the first time in forever spoke mandarin to someone in real life instead of over a phone. “hello, i am vive’s xingxing, we are soon debuting, please check us out” it did feel a bit awkward promoting himself to someone as big as charm, but, after all, he should take every and any chance to promote himself, shouldn’t he? “ah it feels so nice to speak mandarin”
Tumblr media
fmdxingxing:
no jingjing was overwhelmed by emotions, figuring out what to say and how to react. it did give him flashbacks to the many times that he has done the exactly same thing. scaring his friends and thinking it was a good idea, instead ending up scaring strangers or that one time where he scared his somewhat crush.
jingjing was well used to not being able to get recognized by other idols, he was new, not even debuted yet, plus most idols were too busy to care about vive and hot topic(k). however it seemed like the other actually knew of him, but the words who left the other’s mouth didn’t completely satisfy jingjing. “excuse you, i am not a kid” jingjing bited his lip thinking about his next words, and then he switched to english, because truly it was easier to express himself that way. “i am twenty, a grown man, and it seems like i’m taller than you” jingjing placed his hands on his hips “kid…”.
jingjing basically refused to believe it when the other introduced himself, “ah… c-charm?” he stuttered a tad. immediately he took a step back and gave the other his deepest bow, charm? as in the charm? jingjing who barely knew of groups did know of charm, and he was a fan even if he didn’t know the members. “i am vive’s xingxing… yes”… now jingjing felt embarrassed for having told the other he wasn’t a kid… weren’t all charm members older than him? “you know what… i am a kid yeah haha” an awkward chuckle left his mouth “goo goo gaa gaa” how much more could he embarrass himself? now he was making baby sounds…
jingjing nodded “i do speak mandarin, yes! i’m from taiwan!!”
Tumblr media
//
yuanjun wasn’t used to being older than people. sure, charm had been around the block by now, five years going six at this point. but yuanjun has always been the youngest of charm and even up until this point, often remained younger than the majority of newly debuted idols. so this was very new to him, to actually be older. so perhaps he wasn’t very good at it, that seemed to be the case at least as jingjing didn’t seem very content with his choice of words. “well you’re younger than me so!” not much of an argument, but again, not like yuanjun had much experience doing this.
he wanted to protest the height thing, not because it wasn’t true but yuanjun had never taken well to comments about his height. he knew he was short, he didn’t need people pointing it out to him. but jingjing’s quick change in demeanor made any complaining unnecesary really. it seemed to be because the younger realized what group he hailed from and while yuanjun could’ve used it to his advantage, he had never been one to use his senority to get his way and he didn’t want to start now, especially not seeing how far the other was going to try and appease to him.
“don’t worry about it, really, i’ll just feel awkward if you keep apologizing like that.” yuanjun was quick to reassure him. maybe that was a bit too blunt but yuanjun really wanted him to stop making baby noises. “let’s just, start over yeah? forgive and forget.” he shoots jingjing what is hopefully a reassuring smile.
“hello, nice to meet you, i’m xiao yuanjun!” he reintroduced himself, this time in mandarin. “member of charm who most definitely didn’t just give you a jumpscare. and who are you?”

fmdyul
being pretty was one of yul’s strengths, something he took great pride in. to most people, the way that he constantly talked about his good looks probably came off as conceited and arrogant, and there’d been plenty of times where people were probably put off trying to get to know him properly as a result. that didn’t phase yul in the slightest, though. if anything, it was simply a defense mechanism - the lack of attention from his parents during his childhood had led to him deciding to give himself what he had missed out on, and so started yul’s extreme pride. in yul’s head it made total sense to hype himself up, because if he believed that he was pretty and great, then he wouldn’t have to rely on anyone else’s opinion and could avoid being hurt. “i know i am,” yul grinned with a proud look on his face, “you’re pretty too, though.”
another thing that yul loved about himself was the money he had. being born into wealth meant he’d had an extremely comfortable life in the material sense, and he loved to spoil himself with clothes and the latest gadgets. “mm, you probably haven’t heard of my father but you probably know the company he’s the ceo of,” yul replied with a shrug as if it wasn’t anything special - and it wasn’t, at least not to him. “it is great though, money really can buy you happiness.”
“who says you can’t rap?” yul replied, folding his arms. “you can do anything if you put your mind to it. i didn’t know how to rap when i joined the company and now look at me! if you practice enough, your company will take notice.”
pretty, being pretty, prettiness. it was something jingjing related to, perhaps too much sometimes. no, being pretty was one of the few things jingjing was confident in, and he sure was confident in it. his face, he believed it was the thing that had brought him everything in life, that without it he wouldn’t be standing here right now. his face gave him his friends, his career, his face was what brought him into hot topic(k) and what made him through it, or so he at least believed. being complimented on being pretty was something he was often, more than his singing even. jingjing put his hair behind his ear and smirked “we’re just two pretty dudes then, i suppose” jingjing giggled at his own comment.
jingjing stood there half awkwardly as the other spoke about money, he blinked a few times rapidly. money could buy happiness? so… that was all it would take for him to become happy? not that jingjing wasn’t happy now, no he would dare and assert that he actually already was happy after getting into an idol group. “money can buy happiness?” jingjing hummed for a second “i hope i’ll become an successful idol then” he giggled, and then the usual line came “please check us out, we are debuting soon, vive” he promoted himself and his group, as per usual.
“ah but” jingjing scratched his neck “trust me when i say i can’t rap” he giggled “i have practiced rapping more than singing and am still a main vocal”. “i don’t think rapping will ever become something i am good at to be honest” he felt like he was over sharing, but to be honest? it was nice.
it’s not hard to tell that jingjing isn’t the smartest person in the world, forgetting everything, getting out in dumb situations and getting lost is a sure for something that happens every day to jingjing. he might as well just could have it on his to do list because then he’d at least get something checked off on it. but as said, jingjing isn’t the smartest, hence he’s lost. jingjing isn’t sure how it happened, one moment he was posing, another moment he was looking for a toilet, and he did find a toilet, but when he exited it, he had no idea about where he was. jingjing scratches his head, he looks to all sides, how could he be so stupid and get lost?
it was weird, this was one of his first filmings besides the ones he had done for vive, not that this was a solo thing completely, because he was still here with his members. jingjing reminds himself that next time he goes to wander off he will drag one of his members with him, that was he won’t get lost (that or they’ll both get lost). and just as jingjing is in his own world, he bumps into someone ( @fmdyul ) , oh fuck. jingjing bows and a sorry escapes his lips. jingjing looks at the other’s face and just like basically all the other faces here, he doesn’t recognize it at all, can’t put any name on it. jingjing realizes how long he has been staring, and that it’s a bit weird so he decides to introduce himself. “uh sorry, i am vive’s xingxing” he bows once again.

cute as could be, isn’t he? sung nodded in large motion. jingjing seemed more surprised by the offer than sung had expected, considering how little of an issue it would be for him. really, only the time to get unsigned copies signed, and with promotions coming up soon, he’d likely run into at least one member. or, jingjing was just very excited about the idea. that was one sung could relate to, still to this day getting nervous when hanging around wish members.
it took him a couple seconds longer to process the offer presented back to him, and when it did, sung let out an ah. might have been a bit strange out of the context of his head. normally, he might brush an offer like that off, not wanting to be rewarded for such tiny things, but in this case, he didn’t want to seem rude. and so, he gave in, “thank you. i’m no good cook, so, i would like that. i like to eat food from many places, too. my members do concerts, we go all over, and have lots of delicious food.” sung wasn’t so sure he was getting his point across properly. language barriers were barriers for a reason. “um, i speak,” gosh it was particularly embarrassing to forget such a simple word right then. sung flipped the thought over in his head until the tip of his tongue burst, “japan. japanese, yes. i have friend that is born in japan. do you speak many? you sound very much like, um, genius.”
cooking. cooking was something jingjing wasn’t entirely sure about whether he was good at or not the best at. he had cooked before, often actually, and after moving out of his grandparents, he was basically always cooking for himself. now that he lived with his members there was a little less cooking, simply because sometimes his members would be the ones cooking, there was a little more buying food from outside, and he was getting lazy. but, jingjing did cook, he was able to cook, and at most times his food tasted good, the only problem however, he did sometimes almost burn down apartments, aka start fires. jingjing though, still wanted to cook for the other, and he wasn’t about to admit that he was good at starting fires. “i am a good cook! my grandparents taught me! and i used to cook often” jingjing smiled to the other, a soft and warm smile.
the word struck jingjing’s mind, that word wasn’t exactly what jingjing often was called. no jingjing was often complimented, on his looks, on his face, his hair, but his mind? not exactly. he sounded like a genius the other said? because he spoke many languages? jingjing began thinking about it, how many did he speak? english, mandarin, cantonese, and some korean.. “i speak three and half language!” he spoke happily, it had never crossed his mind before how many languages he spoke. “i want to learn japanese too… but i am so bad at studying…” jingjing pouted “i really am no genius” a small giggle left his mouth.
open to: any connection: stranger, someone jingjing doesn’t remember meeting or friend location: supermarket near gangnam plot: jingjing begins dancing and you watch him
though jingjing soon will become an idol, he still isn’t that famous yet, and walking out alone is still something he can do, as long as he wears a mask and a hoodie just to be safe, no it’s the fewest that can recognize him from just his eyes, no that’s only people that really loved him on hot topic(k). jingjing is as he was before he came on hot topic(k) out at the supermarket, a place that scares him yet gives him comfort. jingjing just wants some snacks, and some few other things, but then suddenly something happens.
jingjing, even though wanting and soon to become an idol, he isn’t the best at knowing idols, knowing idol groups or songs. but some songs he does know of, that’s wish’ songs, no those he love, and when feel special comes on jingjing can’t help it. the chorus comes and jingjing puts down his basket. then immediately he begins dancing the chorus dance to feel special, and soon enough without noticing someone comes over to him. when the chorus is over and jingjing is done with dancing, he picks up the basket and that’s when he notices someone looked at him while dancing. “you?” jingjing senses something “aren’t you an idol?” hasn’t jingjing seen this person before? he’s pretty sure this is an idol, even though he’s not the best with faces and names.

— solo para
location: unknown setting: cat n dog m/v filming word count: 407
the blond haired boy was sitting in the chair, getting his hair styled. it was jingjing’s first time bleaching his hair a while ago, he first bleached and dyed it blonde a little before he joined hot topic(k), and since then he had just kind of kept it, it seemed to be a success through the fans, they thought the blonde suited him. jingjing didn’t mind, he too thought the blond did suit him, however by now he had bleached and dyed it a little too much in too little time, after all he needed to keep it blonde both through hot topic(k) and through their debut. at least his hair did get a break during the time they prepared for their debut. however jingjing’s hair was not what was important currently, no the important thing currently was that they were about to film another music video. for which song? jingjing’s “favourite” song, yes, cat and dog.
there was something about cat and dog that utterly irritated jingjing, perhaps it was the fact that he was forced to sing “feel like i’m your pet” or maybe it was the fact that he was singing about being an animal, no jingjing did not enjoy it. jingjing was sure that the rest of his members too didn’t find it to be the best song in the world. no it was embarrassing and jingjing could only thank everyone and everything for that it had not become their title track but that crown had taken that place.
“are you ready?” jingjing turns his head and nods, he leaves the chair. he starts out the song, so he’ll probably be in the beginning of the music video, and what better way is there to start a song than to sing “feel like i’m your cat”?. at least the outfit jingjing is wearing is cute, he does like this black outfit, the black cap and green bag is cute together.
jingjing sits himself down on the floor, behind him sits his other members, they’re about to film the choreography, jingjing starts out, he sings the line he oh so much loves, and he sits kind of like a dog, or frog, not sure. he’s absolutely loving what he’s doing right now, isn’t he? sarcasm. but anyways, jingjing thinks the fans will like this so he doesn’t mind it too much, plus besides the lyrics, it is in fact a good melody and song.

durifmd
duri shakes his head at the other’s question. “oh no, i’m perfectly fine! don’t worry about me at all!” he said, his smile growing bigger. truth be told, he was probably a bit more worried about jingjing having run into him, considering the fact that duri was rather broad and muscular, so it probably had to hurt just a bit running into duri. however, jingjing had said that he was perfectly fine, so duri did his best not to worry much more.
he giggles softly, head shaking towards the other. “ah, you were that good! you did a really great job during the show!” he reassured the other. duri truly meant the compliment. duri was a vocal mentor on the show for two episodes, after all, and he kept up with the performances that had come afterwards. it was something that he enjoyed. he giggles softly, before bowing towards the other. “thank you! it means a lot to hear that,” he says, before coming back up from the bow. “i’m glad i got to meet you as well!”
to be honest, normally jingjing wasn’t mostly the person that worried about others. this was simply due to the reason that he at most times had too much to worry about when it came to himself. for example as per now, he was wondering about his reputation as he once again had run into someone, was he now going to be known as someone who ran into people? that wasn’t exactly what he wished of becoming after becoming an idol, which he was even yet to become. but still, even though jingjing at most times had himself to worry too much about, he worried for the other, had he run into them too hard? was that even possible for the short male? the other could basically step on him.
jingjing was panicking, he had run into duri, the duri. he wasn’t completely sure how to react when he began receiving compliments from the other. how should he react? was this done out of being nice or was he genuine? did someone as good as duri really like his singing? “you are so cool… i cant believe this” jingjing’s hands landed on his head. “i get to meet you twice?!” jingjing lips turned upwards. “ah ah” jingjing looked in his pockets for something, but couldn’t find it so he looked up at the other “do u have pen and paper?”
no today jingjing felt like he had seen more idols than he could count. and… it was quite embarrassing because jingjing barely knew of any idols, so it was kind of like… he just had to guess his way into knowing who were idols and who were not, and truly today he had probably guessed wrongly more than once, thinking staff were idols and idols were staffs. however the poor jingjing who barely knew of any idols kept trying his best in figuring out who was what. on the positive side, jingjing had today heard of a lot more new groups, not that they were new, he just didn’t know of before them before, but then again. he would most likely forget all these faces and group names again soon.
now another thing that has happened a little too many times is jingjing running into people, and somehow countless of times those people have been idols. jingjing isn’t usually clumsy, he doesn’t usual just run into people, but today has been different. maybe it’s the rush, the rush of meeting so many idols at once, even if he doesn’t know of them he feels nervous. and it happens again, jingjing runs into someone ( @durifmd ) , this time falling too, right on his bum. the pretty face gives it away, it could be a staff, but this surely looks like an idol. oh gosh, jingjing had run into an idol once again, hadn’t he? “ah, i am sorry” jingjing says. jingjing before he even has stood up bows down, his head almost touches the floor and jingjing feels kind of embarrassed “i am vive’s xingxing”, the usual line comes and then jingjing begins standing up.

yunhofmd
For someone like Yunho, the very thought of climbing a tree was strange, let alone for something as simple as a piece of fruit like and apple. Despite his young age, Yunho was quite mature and his personality definitely contrasted his young looks and age. He simply stared up at the male, blinking, a somewhat blank look upon his face as he tried to process what the other was telling him. He rubbed the back of his neck.
Seeing the other appear to make himself more comfortable, Yunho wondered if he was still needed or if the other was happy to remain in the tree. He raised an eyebrow at the simple, one word response. ❝ Wait, what? So you climbed the tree to get an apple? So how did you manage to get yourself stuck then? Can’t you just climb down the way you climbed up? ❞ Yunho asked, as if the answer were that simple. Of course, having never climbed a tree himself, he was blissfully unaware of how hard it was to in fact climb down a tree. Before he could say anything else, he felt something his his head and he let out a small ouch sound. He rubbed the top of his head. ❝ Ow. ❞
jingjing’s korean wasn’t exactly the best, that one could say. after all jingjing hadn’t been studying it for that long, had he? and to top it, he also was bad at studying, so having not studied it for long and being bad at studying basically gave the result of being terrible at korean. it wasn’t only because he though a short response was what explained it best, no it was also because he didn’t want to speak any longer sentences. but then the other spoke a longer sentence, and jingjing began feeling lost. “climb down?” he looked at the other as he half-shouted the words, he then shook his head “fall, i will fall” he responded.
jingjing was actually quite getting ready to just full on have a long nice conversation with the other, even if the conversation was going to be spoken in jingjing’s broken korean. no, jingjing was making himself comfortable, he was getting ready to sit there and talk, it was as if his worry for not being able to get down slowly faded. and then jingjing panicked, because an apple had just fell on the other’s head. “oh sh-“ jingjing covered his mouth before letting out a curse word. “nice head you got there, it can handle a lot” jingjing spoke in english, and he didn’t really think about what he was saying, not even thinking about that complimenting the other’s head was a tad weird.
open to: any location: somewhere in gangnam connection: any plot: jingjing gets stuck in a tree and asks you for help..
it’s easy to tell, jingjing is kind of an idiot, a big one, not in the sense that he’s mean (at least not on purpose), but that he does stupid stuff, gets dumb ideas. it’s not exactly that jingjing feels famous, but he likes to feel it anyways, so he often puts a mask and hoodie on when he goes outside, not that he gets recognized that often, but he still sometimes do. back to jingjing being an idiot, what had he done now that was an idiot stunt? you see…
fruit is often a life saver for jingjing and he eats it often, he has a special bond with fruit in a way. so upon seeing an apple tree he really couldn’t help it. the poor male who wasn’t the tallest couldn’t reach the apples, so, so he got another idea. he was somewhat strong and quite flexible, to put it shorter and simpler, he had crawled upon the apple tree. and no, nothing was wrong with climbing an apple tree, right? but that wasn’t the problem here, no the problem was that jingjing couldn’t seem to get down again.
he had probably sat there for around ten minutes, and he was so bored that he had starting humming and dancing wish’ fancy. and then to his luck, he finally saw someone pass by the tree. “hey! hey!” jingjing half-shouted out “yeah up here” jingjing giggled. “i’m stuck” he said it as simple as it was.

fmdhyunsoo
the first thing that came into hyunsoo’s mind was that this kid sure was brave for just busting out into song in the middle of a busy place - if it had been someone hyunsoo knew, he would have been cringing eternally and not just because the song choice happened to be one of his own songs. the second thought was whether or not this was some sort of prank, where he’d be awkwardly forced to join in until someone jumps out of a bush with a camera with a “surprise!”
but no, it seemed like this person was actually serious. hyunsoo had to give it to them, he never could imagine having so much confidence in his life time. having all eyes on him was something he hated, even more so when it was supposed to be his private time out and about. situations like this hadn’t been a part of hyunsoo’s idol etiquette training and so all he could do was blink at the other before processing exactly what was going on. however, when he opened his mouth, the first thing that popped into his head came out. “… uh, yeah… i guess you can say the weather is aju nice?”
jingjing wasn’t thinking, so everything was at its norm you could say, except the norm for jingjing’s doings usually weren’t considered normal. jingjing actually didn’t give much into having been singing in public, after all he was a main vocal, wasn’t he? so even if he wasn’t the most confident in his singing, he did have some talent, he would admit that much. hence the people who had walked past him hadn’t died nor their ears had bled, no actually they had been blessed of the voice of a future idol. jingjing smiled, perhaps having sung in public was a favour to the world of his, how nice of him.
however what did make jingjing a tiny tad embarrassed was how he responded to finding out that he was singing in public without that being his intention. no the way he had responded? it was by calling the weather nice… and when the other spoke jingjing was silent for a second, just to comprehend the joke, and then he burst out in laughter. he hit the other softly, not really on purpose, but without thinking. when after a while he had finished laughing he spoke “are you a comedian?” he asked, and he asked genuinely.
date: some time in april location: gangnam @fmdxingxing
charm’s discography was okay. hyunsoo wasn’t a big fan of the boys-next-door vibe they had from debut, but the fact that they were starting to experiment a little bit and try new styles left him satisfied enough to not complain too much. so far, he’d enjoyed performing fearless, though he really didn’t understand why they thought it was a good idea to make him of all people climb over his members mid-song. still, that wasn’t so bad in the scheme of things; if you had asked hyunsoo what song was possibly his least favourite, he’d probably have to say aju nice.
now, it wasn’t that he felt like it was a bad song per say. it had been fun to perform and it was one of their better known songs, but that was all overshadowed by the time they’d - for some reason - done an almost 20 minute encore that was just purely the chorus over and over again. not to mention the song was a bad omen with the way that it had left hyunsoo sprinting back onto stages when he was halfway backstage more often than not. it was a song that haunted him in his dreams, and the less he heard it, the better. unfortunately, it seemed to follow him everywhere he went, an automatic sense of dread running down his spine when he heard the song being belted out by someone near by. “what on earth?” hyunsoo said maybe a little too loudly - he could only hope that no one actually recognised him and tried to make him join in.

if there was one thing that stuck with max through growing up and into the korean idol industry it was his lack of care for formalities. he didn’t particularly care for honorifics or hierarchies. he followed them when needed to but when people were comfortable with him enough to drop them, the rapper and dancer took no offense and instead welcomed to the comfortable shift in dynamics. only when he felt particularly cheeky would he call the honorifics card but beyond that he really couldn’t care less.
so when jingjing and he met, the male was quickly entranced by the younger. the guy was just too adorable for max to resist his fanboying and not completely be left with a desire to adopt the guy as his own figurative son. instead settling for the position of an older brother he wasn’t surprised when jingjing called him in the hallways of goldstar entertainment. what did surprise him was the camera he brought along, brows raising as he looked first at the lens than jingjing. “film? huh? what would you even need that for? a vlive,” he questions innocently, having no clue what was awaiting him as he moves to catch up and toss a casual arm over jingjing instead.
jingjing, who actually really felt like an adult, because he could drink, and he could do much adult stuff, still had yet to convince others that he was an adult. jingjing truly did see himself as a big boy, but it seemed like that in most eyes he was just a small baby. that also counted max jingjing believed, the older most definitely saw jingjing as a younger brother, but that was fine with jingjing, because being friends with someone from the origin, was basically his biggest dream ever. jingjing was really happy to have met max.
“ahhhh my bro, ah my bro” jingjing spoke in english “why? because they’re so good, you’ll melt upon tasting these brownies, they’re made from an angel you know?” yes, jingjing did refer to himself as an angel. “and as you’re my friend, i wanted you to taste them first, i’m filming because i think it’d be nice seeing your reaction upon how good they are” jingjing smiles bigly upon knowing what awaited them.
this was definitely the definition of unbelievable. one of the boys who had changed jingjing’s life, was now one of jingjing’s…. friends? let’s rewind a little here. back when jingjing was nineteen, something happened for the boy that changed his life, and that was that origin’s music video for idol popped into his recommended. jingjing watched it and was immediately in love, he immediately decided that was what he wanted to do. and origin is to be honest probably the only group where jingjing can recognize all the members, knows all the songs and dances, and much more, origin is basically a part of jingjing’s life purpose. they give him more than just one reason to stay alive.
and jingjing knew that after getting into vive and being managed by gold star that he would most likely get to meet some of the origin members, but he was still surprised and almost died upon it happening. meeting max was like a dream come true, and the two of them now being friends was something jingjing had never imagined.
there was that base thing, the base online thing, and jingjing decided to include max ( @fmdxmax ) in one of his videos, which? the prank of course. jingjing firmly held a camera in his hand and went around searching for his now friend, upon seeing the other he called out “max! max! come here, i made you brownies!!” jingjing smiled proudly upon knowing that this was a prank and the other didn’t know. jingjing grabbed the other’s wrist and immediately began walking while filming the two “i’m going to film your reaction for how good they are, i really used a lot of time on them”

“study? yeah, me too.” he didn’t have the vocabulary to entirely express everything he wanted to say. school wasn’t his forte, no matter how he tried, and even after having been working with element for four years, he wasn’t able to get past a certain basic level of speech in the languages of their fans. but, school hadn’t been as important, when it came to finding his passion in music. sung wished, in that exact moment, he didn’t have to make the point he wanted to, because he would have been good enough at english to say it. what a mind melt.
the gentle nature of the excitement growing in jingjing beside him made sung more excited too. he fed off of it. after all, sung always believed that music transcended language; this was close enough. “only have two? you like more? i have,” his hands came up in a wide gesture as he thought over the word choice, “many! i have same album, twice. you can have it.” he planned to keep signed versions he had for himself, but maybe getting the other versions signed could be a nice surprise for jingjing.
studying had never been in jingjing’s lane, no he had always tried hard, but his grades always seemed to either fall or only go up a little bit. it seemed liked it was jingjing’s sister who had gotten all the brain, because she was good at studying and even at remembering, something jingjing clearly couldn’t do. no, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t seem to study korean properly, and it was sad, embarrassing even. jingjing just wish he spoke better korean, so the other didn’t have to communicate with him in english, it made jingjing feel like a pain that they had to speak english. “do you speak any other languages than korean?” jingjing asked, perhaps if he was lucky then they would have a language in common.
“what” jingjing let out his words surprised, he wasn’t sure if he was understanding correctly, did the other have some of the same albums, twice? was this true, perhaps the other was rich… “you…? me? i can have it?” jingjing began to speak in somewhat broken english too as he was so surprised. “you know! im a good cook, i could treat you to some taiwanese food someday!?” jingjing felt like this was the start of a friendship, and it made him quite happy, jingjing really wished to have more idol friends.
