Me and my brother went for diner last week and I think he ordered the biggest fish of the restaurant, me I kept it a bit smaller as I try to be a bit more focused on healthy foods and with restaurants you have the pro’s and cons from not cooking it yourself. 😉
So, however I love restaurants, I will be doing a bit more home cookings again so stay tuned. 🐟🥩👩🏻‍🍳

So, as you all know I absolutely love good food and an amazing meal but I don’t share how much of a “healthy” balance is required. For every “delicious” meal wich has oils, sauces and other “not too healthy” extra’s I want 2 healthy meals and a good balance at home for my mind and my body.

Roasted duck in a black bean sauce with aubergine and courgettes joined with crispy potatoes on avocado sauce. ⚓️🥂
Me and my partner went on a little weekend getaway to the sea side. Normally I will ALWAYS go for a fish dish when visiting but the restaurant had this as a “suggestion dish” so we decided to try out something new.
The roasted duck in combination with the vegetables and the crispy potatoes was very very well done! I personally didn’t taste a lot of the avocado but I didn’t miss it either.
Do you like to try out suggestions without knowing what you will get? 😉🌊⛴🦆🍆🥔

I went out for diner this week to one of my favorite restaurants. I haven’t been there in about 6 months after I moved away from the city. However, they still recognized me the moment I walked in, we got such a pleasant welcome as well as amazing diner and dessert. It really reminded me of the good feeling it gives when people directly know you. It’d that little extra you like. We sat there for around 3 hours as it was a weekday and me and my brother talked about everything. I have the luck that my brother and I are very very similar in what we like to do -job and free time- and we get to enjoy these moments to the fullest. 🤍
As this is my food blog and not my diary I will end on that note with a little shot of the evening itself. 😉🍨🍋🍓🍫🍒

How do you like to relax?
Going out for diner, eating and trying new things and places is a way of relaxing for me. As I work in a restaurant I think I appreciate the going out part just a bit more than others. A beautiful glass or plate can make a difference and by working and visiting places since I was 15 I did get to learn a thing or two, not just with how to do a better job but also how to ENJOY MORE. Yes, you can make a point of something when there’s made a mistake or someone forgot something but it’s the overall acting, the way you bring yourself out that tell you 1. the person you really are and 2. how relaxed you really are. Isn’t it a pity if you have to PAY and have a BAD TIME at the same moment? Work on relaxing, appreciating and learning to go to restaurants because, the time you do get to spend with others should be a celebration every time again. 🤍
