Howdy, it’s Jasmine, your friendly neighborhood Texan gal! My passion is to turn initial film ideas into reality. I tackle any big project by breaking it down strategically throughout all stages and aspects of production. While I enjoy organizing my life and work to a T, I will always make time for exploration and being spontaneous! I grew up near South Padre Island, Texas, so I have a fondness for the movement behind this environmental short film, Footprint. My name is Masomeh, but you can call me Macy! I am eager to animate in the story I’ve been leading with an amazing team. The Earth is so dear to me that my friends and family call me “Mama Bird” because I’m always taking off on road trips for all sorts of outdoor adventures. Sadly, pollution still threatens our marine life. So, let’s be like our fast swimming penguins and take a dive into this short film to help raise awareness for our oceans. Howdy!

Footprint is an animated short film created by Massie Hashemi, produced at Texas A&M College of Architecture. It follows Ava, a little girl who stumbles across a baby sea turtle wedged in a bottle. Throughout the struggle to release him, Ava witnesses first-hand the bigger issue that threatens the lives of many marine animals, that her ocean has become a global garbage can.

Massie is the writer, director, and animator for this project. She started this team a year ago and built up a team of 15 people from seven countries to help her so far. Now, she is seeking new talents who have a passion for animation and planet Earth, specifically, issues related to animals’ rights to join her team.
