Just out of curiosity, is that really when Samhain is supposed to be celebrated? It just doesn’t line up with the other midseason sabbats, like Imbolc, Beltane, and Lughnasadh. I would think that it should be on November 1st if we look at those.
(Of course October 31st is pretty close and all so maybe it doesn’t really matter, but I’m just wondering about the history there!)
Thanks in advance to anyone that might be willing to educate me!

I noticed that the Kemetic community has ALOT of white people in it….
And that’s okay! That’s 100% fine/okay/acceptable. But what I also notice is that y’all wanna worship African Gods but don’t wanna respect black people/POC, their traditions, or their culture.
I see y’all blogs about how much you love the Netjeru and Kemet but…
Y’all don’t….
You wanna follow a religion that’s from Africa but don’t give two shits about black people or POC🧐🤔
And honestly there’s nothing Ma’at about that. If you’re a kemetic witch and/or in the Kemetic community and you don’t speak up on police violence against black people, the mistreatment and abuse of immigrants seeking sanctuary, or racism then you’re just as bad yourself and you’re honestly disrespectful as fuck🤷🏾‍♀️
And to the fuckwads who wanna pull the “Egyptians weren’t black! They’re more related to white people than black people!” Bullshit card. SHUT THE FUCK UP.
If you come in my comments I will personally shut you down! You’re ignorant! Africa ain’t one shade baby, they’re all still black tho. Egypt is connected to the Middle East so, naturally, it was conquered many times by the Middle East on LATER PERIODS! It wasn’t until the Late Period of Egyptian history (around 600 BCE) that they really started getting just conquered by Persians (525 BCE), then Alexander the Great (332 BCE), then the Arabs (642 AD).
Before that let us remember that it was still a North African nation and was conquered by a Nubian King around 728 BCE. So from 3500 BCE-600 BCE it’s a pretty solid African nation. There was obviously mingling between Egypt and the Middle East before they were conquered, that does not take from the fact that these were diverse black people. And I’ll tell you this, Ancient Egyptians looked NOTHING like modern Egyptians. Not. At. All!
They were African, their artwork depicts them as such and so do their various statues.
So please, since you follow a ATR (African Traditional Religion) and worship the African Netjeru, please do better to educate yourself and spread awareness about injustices done to poc everyday. Be an ally and use your privilege to boost poc men and women around you.❤️

Ritual To Invite Spirit Contact
This spell is designed to let a specific spirit know that you are open to communication. It includes protective elements to avoid attracting negative entities.
*It is important to research the side effects of herbs before coming into contact with them. One should also keep in mind their personal allergies and medications taken when ingesting herbs. Your safety is more important than an ingredient.*
Ingredients
Dried Rose Hip (2 or more)
Clove incense
Dandelion (one stem and flower)
Mint leaf or scent, in any natural form
An item that relates to the spirit you wish to contact
A Brown or White candle
Directions
Light your Clove incense and your candle.
Sit with your item in your hand. Rub it clockwise.
Picture the spirit as you know it in your mind. Verbalize your openness to receiving communications (if you are unable to verbalize this or do not feel comfortable you can think it instead).
Take your rose hip and dandelion. Wrap them together (with string or cloth). Bury them under your doorstep (if you do not have a traditional doorstep you can put it on your porch, hang it in your doorway, or bury it by an entrance).
Leave a window or door open (it could be slightly open or fully open) for one hour.
Be sure to pay attention to little signs and happenings after performing this ritual and be sure to try and remember your dreams!
This spell is dedicated to my Grandmother, Marie, who I never had the chance to meet during her short time on earth. I hope to see you someday.

I’m fuming right now about The Ghetto Tarot. Like, that white woman sat there, and typed out those words for that title and took from those people. My people. I always had a strange feeling about that deck, but now that I know she made it I’m furious. Her white ass couldn’t just call it the Haitian Tarot?! And she has awards for this!!
This goes to show that when white people mingle in black peoples lives they never bring anything good to the table. They just come, eat our food, and take all the leftovers home. THIS is why we don’t want white people practicing our religions and traditions. THIS is why we’re so hard on others for taking from other religions and traditions. THIS is why we won’t “share”. Because white people don’t know how to act. They get something different from their norm and get disrespectful. We’re trying to preserve who we are so later generations aren’t confused and disappointed like us.
On that note: DO NOT BUY THE GHETTO TAROT! IT WAS MADE BY A WHITE WOMAN WHO HAS NO RESPECT AND HAS MADE A PROFIT OFF OF OUR BLACK BODIES.

Possibly disappearing for a bit
So, I’m about to move away to a different state for about 6 months and I’m not entirely sure what my Internet situation will be there. There’s definitely places in town with WiFi, so I’ll still be on at least occasionally, but I probably won’t be posting as regularly. Just an FYI! I’m not gone for good, just gone for a little while.

Applying Lenormand techniques in Tarot can be quite fun and useful. The above spread is a way I have of getting to the bottom of a situation while also practicing my knighting paths. It’s called the “Knight’s Path,” because it’s a riff on the Lenormand technique of the same name, that follows the path of a knight on the chess board.

Witch Tip
So heres a little witchy tip i learned from an older witch i know (Shes been practicing for 40 years and this woman is AMAZING). All those stones and crystals that we pack on ourselves and beneath our pillowcases? They have negative affects too.
I found this out the fun way when i started having nightmares despite my no nightmares sachet. When i was telling her about it she asked what was in there and when i said lapis lazuli she stopped me. Turns out, lapis can OVER stimulate your mind and open you up to negative things. ie nightmares!
Moral of the story, be careful what you use and when you use it and remember witchlings, nothing is ONLY positive🌻
