Anna nodded softly. “Oh, yeah. I mean I think he’s doing alright.” She said softly. “We’re not really talking as much as we used too. But we’re getting there. I just haven’t seen him since.. things got crazy around here again. Makes me nervous is all.”
“Well, if I see him, I’ll definitely send him your way! I’d like to make sure he’s doing okay, too. After, y’know, all of this.” Sora gestured outside of the shop and took a small sip of his drink for a moment. “Maybe we should go look for him,” he said with a small smile.

Anna laughed a little and nodded. The talking of it was great, thinking of how it could have been. Biting her lip she just looked down at her coffee and played with the straw a little. “I’m happy to have you provide it.” She laughed a little. “You haven’t seen John around have you?” After Anna’s attack she hadn’t had the time to check in with him , or really anyone.
At the mention of John, Sora felt himself frown slightly. He hadn’t seen him since he had been in prison really, and it was unfortunate. “No, I haven’t. Is he doing okay? Do you know?” Maybe that’s why she had been asking him. Oops. He cocked his head.

Anna laughed a little. “That would have been an interesting way to show up to your prom that’s for sure.” She giggled shaking her head softly. “Thank you… I uh.. do it every year. I mean everyone else has their dates and stuff. I normally show up a few hours early to make sure everything it set up perfect.” She shrugged a bit thinking about it. Smiling towards him she nodded. “Thank you. I need it. I mean.. after the attack I just..” She grumbled looking away. “Need some distractions.”
“Hey, that just makes the prom all the more special!” He smiled once again. “It shows that you care.” Still, she put all that work into it and wasn’t able to enjoy someone to spend the evening with. Sora furrowed his brow for a moment and nodded. “I’m happy to provide that!” The young man thumbed his chest, his smile turning to a grin.

Anna scrunched her nose and shook her head. “Sora, it’s fine really. I mean you were sick! That’s completely out of your hands and everything. I mean you weren’t the only one that didn’t show up… I mean he didn’t either. “ She shrugged a little. “Its really no big deal, the punch bowl was saved once again!” She said cheerfully. Nodding softly she looked around. “It’s.. this danger it’s a lot.” she said looking down. Her eyes flickering around in small panic. “A corsage!? I’ve never been given one before.” She laughed. “That’d be nice though. I mean I would love it! It’d be fun!”
“I still feel really guilty about it though! I could have showed up in one of those big hamster balls!” He chuckled a little, moving to place his hands behind his head. “Saving the punch bowl like a real hero, Anna. I knew you could!” Sora was happy to see her cheerful at least, though she seemed less happy than usual. Then again, he probably did too. The whole situation with the town was probably bringing everyone down. “Then I’d be really honored to give you a day of nothing but fun!”

Anna let her eyes go wide hearing him. Shaking her head she put on her smile. It’s fine, Sora. It’s just prom. It’s not like … you missed my parents funeral.” she said with an awkward laugh that quickly shut off. Anna was kinda almost always left hanging. How she ever found the hope to put in people again was beyond her. “Make it up to me? Really.. Sora , if you were sick it’s fine. A text would have been nice though… I mean it’s been… awhile.”
Missed her parents funeral? He was sure he hadn’t missed that, or even been around for it, but he couldn’t help the worry that filled him. “No, it’s totally not okay for me to have missed prom after I promised to be your date for the evening!” Sora frowned. “Once this... Danger blows over, we can have a day doing whatever you want to do! I’ll get you a corsage, too!” The young man offered a hopeful smile. “I wanted to say something in person, but you’re right. I should have.” He rubbed the back of his neck.

Anna laughed. Sora had no idea how funny she found the comment of seeing her alive was. Biting at her bottom lip she took in a deep breath. “Um.. yeah. You could say that. I mean I’m still alive aren’t I? that’s saying something with everything that’s been going on.” She shrugged softly. “What about you? Are you alright? You’ve just been.. gone.”
At least she was laughing -- that meant things were even somewhat okay, right? Really, the young man was just happy to see his friend had made it through the hell months they had all been through. “I’ve.. Been sick. And I’m really sorry..! I want to apologize and make it up to you!” Sora became a bit more animated as he spoke, loosening up just a bit.

It’d be weird. Trying to walk around after everything that had happened. Anna should be in a hospital bed, resting for for months to come with the trauma her body went through with her attack. Everytime she closed her eyes she would see glowing hair, and a man laying beside her. Shaking it from her thoughts she let her feet rest back into reality. Which meant, coffee and cake pops. Munching away on her pop she jumped hearing her name. Looking around she saw a familiar face, Sora. Anna caught her cake pop crumbs and rid the food in her mouth before waving towards him. “Hey, Sora.. you’re… alive.” he laughed nervously. “I mean of course you are, or.. I would hope.. I … nice to see you!” She said with a small nod.
“I.. Can say the same for you.” He wasn’t sure whether or not he should have stood up to greet her. Deciding it was probably for the best, he did so and approached, wearing a small smile. “It’s nice to see you, too..!” Really, he hadn’t kept in contact with a lot of people while he had been sick, so he wasn’t exactly certain what had been going on in his friends’ lives. “Have... You been keeping safe?” The young man asked, regarding the recent events.

“Thanks. Arthur coughed. Sure, he felt like it, but he didn’t want to be told that he looked like it. “I’ll be fine. Don’t bother the nurses.” He heard his voice crackling, but decided he wanted a few more minutes before he was covered in nurses and doctors. “What are you doing here?” He was afraid he sounded rude, but he expected to see his family sitting in the room when he woke up.
“Sorry.” Sora rubbed the back of his neck a little awkwardly. He hadn’t meant to be rude about it. “With everything that’s been going on, I wanted to personally say ‘get well soon’.” He offered a smile.

Make it up to you? // Anna + Sora
@stayfocused-anna
Sitting at the Starbucks in town, Sora nursed a Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino. He definitely preferred a McDonald’s Frappe if he was being honest -- strong coffee flavors weren’t really his thing. But, frankly, he felt like he needed the caffeine. With everything that had happened, the usually positive young man felt more than a little drained. He was ready to enjoy the last few weeks of summer rather than worry about whether or not one of his friends was going to be hurt or worse. Sora felt awful that he just couldn’t do more. He stirred his drink lazily, looking up as he heard the shop’s door open. As a familiar red-head caught his eye, he couldn’t help but feel ecstatic that she was safe. Still, the whole prom scenario left him with a guilt he couldn’t quite shake. At least he could apologize.
“Anna!” He said in an almost-quiet voice.

Ariel looked at the old iPod shuffle in her hand and once again hit the back button to restart the song, laughing a bit to herself, not really noticing that it sounded like she was talking to the person passing by her rather than herself when she spoke, “I really think I have a problem…”
“Oh, it’s a pretty good song! Not a bad choice to repeat!” The young man grinned. It was a fun, catchy song that helped him get through the days of being ill. Granted, he hadn’t really searched for it, but it still came up on videos while he was on Youtube and such.

Arthur had to admit that Sora was probably the last person he expected to be sitting in the chair. They weren’t very close, but there he was. “I feel like I was hit by a truck.” He honestly felt terrible, like every inch of his body was on fire.
It was probably a little weird that he was there, but Sora didn’t really know strangers. Hell, in his eyes, they were just friends he hadn’t met yet. “You sort of look like it.” The young man frowned. “Are you going to be okay? Should I uh.. Go get a nurse?”

Arthur woke up, feeling foggy and confused. His arm ached, and his head pounded. He could hear the beeps from the heart monitor next to him. He opened his eyes and the lights above him burned. He closed his eyes and opened them again, slower this time. The lights still hurt, but he wanted to look at his surroundings. He turned his head, and saw someone sitting there. “Hi.” He choked out.
Sora was waiting a little awkwardly for his classmate to recover so he could offer well-wishings. It was the least he could do, especially since he had started to feel better. He jumped up when the other spoke. “Ah! Arthur! Hi! How are you feeling?” The young man offered a hopeful smile. He looked not great. Yikes.

What I missed // Selfie
For weeks, Sora had felt awful. Whatever was going around really hated him, as it stayed with him for quite some time on and off. It left him stuck at home with not much to do other than watch television, play video games, text a few people, and, when he really felt okay, schoolwork. At least, that was how it was before the semester ended and summer started. He had hoped that, with the stress of finals passed, he might feel a bit better. It helped some, but nothing really spectacular. Even after a few doctor visits, they just chalked it up to being a bad case of a bug going around. So, in short, the young man had spent his summer somewhat miserable. The events that had taken place months before hadn’t really helped him either. At least Malcom’s killer was gone. It was a relief that John had been freed, too. Even with being sick, he wasn’t completely out of the loop.
Unfortunately, staying in the loop meant he was all too aware of the new plague upon the town. At least he was feeling better. With the death of the mayor, and blood-sucking raiders attacking the town, Sora had been busy doing what he thought he did best -- helping others. Sure, it was scary, but the young man couldn’t live with himself if he knew he could have helped when the town needed saving. Although, other than really getting a few people to safety, he wasn’t sure what he could do. These vampires were much stronger and faster than he was -- than anyone was. It was rather unfair. Why couldn’t they just leave the town alone? Hadn’t the citizens of Adamsville been through enough? Apparently not.

"I guess I can't blame them, but it's still not fair to you." He sighed, resting his elbow on the table and his head in his hand. "I have half a mind to go searching for the actual guy myself," Sora said quietly, furrowing his brow. While it wasn't the most perfect plan out there, it was something; and something had to be done. Sora hated sitting around doing nothing while his friend was sent to seemingly rot away in prison.

forgotten-keybearer:
“In the short time I’ve been here, you’ve done nothing to show that you’d kill a friend!” He glanced at the guard curiously, though he knew the man was probably just doing his job. “Some of the rumors?” Sora frowned. “I think the school is pretty torn between who believes it and who doesn’t. People are just looking to find someone to point their fingers at, I think.” He shook his head.
John shrugged, “I can’t blame them. If it was someone else I’m sure I’d have my own opinions on whether or not he or she did it.” It put things into perspective for him though. He did kill quite the amount of witches. What would happen if that caught up with him and there was no denying the rumors? What would people think of him? If he got out, then he was done with the hunting. He wasn’t going to carry any weapons. He was out. Gio wouldn’t have any reason to deny him that.

“You and me both”
“We should do something this summer, Eric. Go somewhere.” For the longest time, as long as he could remember, he had felt a sort of sense of wanderlust. While he loved Adamsville and it’s inhabitants, he couldn’t help but want to see other parts of the world. It wasn’t like he had memories very far from the town, anyways.”

“I’m not…” Tink pouted slightly. “I like to go to the functions down here because the boarding school is crap about them.”
“Functions? That’s a broad term,” the young man smiled, watching the clouds as they rolled on by. If he wasn’t careful, he could easily fall asleep while he was out there.
