Glenn Fleishman's HOW COMICS ARE MADE has arrived!
This labor of love, which was originally self-published via Kickstarter last year in a now sold-our softcover edition, is now available in a heavy-duty hardcover from Andrews (“Calvin and Hobbes”) McMeel. Now is the time for all true comics nerds to earn their stripes. At last you can dig into the nitty gritty of how comics were – and still are – made! 288 pages | 10 1/2" x 8 1/4"
Not to be missed! >>> HERE <<<

Possibly ill-advised thrift store purchase today, although it was only $3 for all of these "once upon a time even cheap stuff was made from metal" painfully 1990s ~vintage~ Halloween plates. They were strapped together so I could only see the lower right witch design. I couldn't even begin to imagine how the rest would look, and, yeah...they certainly do look.

@snagleteeth submitted: Cool moth alert from [removed] (remove da location plz) my mom and I love it so much. My mom wants to keep looking at it but doesn't want to disturb it's slumber. Google says it's a banded sphinx moth but I'm curious if you agree :) and just wanted to show you this very pretty friend 🧡
What a beauty! And yes I agree, banded sphinx.

my personal pick for most underrated animal is the european legless lizard, which i think is often taken to just look like a normal and rather plain snake, but if you're familiar with reptile anatomy at all it looks more like some sort of bizarre heraldic fantasy creature than basically anything else on earth

I love sharing Strange Days with people who had no idea it even existed, and telling them up front that it was a massive flop and roundly rejected by critics and audiences alike.

Came across this on the cover of an old magazine at work today. It was published in Epic magazine in the early 1980s. It’s called ‘Self Portrait, with Wings’ by Barry Windsor-Smith.
