hey do you guys wanna hear a funny story about me? well you're going to. 

okay so a couple weeks ago i went to this family reunion in Idaho. Not for my family, for my brother in law's family, i just tagged along, his family's super chill so it was fine. anyway before we left we went to the river and we went tubing. and it was super fun except at the end bc i, being a human disaster, tried to get out of the river and fell out of my intertube and the river pulled me down anyway and i kept hitting rocks and i couldn't stop and the only reason i got out is bc some nice strangers followed me on their raft and helped me. 

okay so flash forward to this last monday night, I went to SLC to see hank green and the perfect strangers play and it was super fun. but for some reason guitar strings kept breaking or the guitars would come unplugged during songs. 

during the last act, one of the brothers from harry and the potters (i think it was paul but i'm not sure) told a story about how earlier that day they had been in idaho in the river and found this ring and he had a theory that the ring was cursed with dark magic so he wore it onstage to tes the theory and that it probably was cursed and that's why all the problems with the guitars happened. 

so now i'm thinking that ring was in the river when i was in it and that's why i almost died bc the dark magic in the ring contaminated the water. 

"but ruby if that's true why wouldn't everyone have almost died?"

the ring targeted me specifically bc dark magic is attracted to human disasters which as previously stated i am.

"I was just… walking. Needed air. ‘Sides, if everybody stayed inside when it rained here, they’d practically never go out."

you know there's a lot of clintasha babies who are named alex and that's a weird thing to me like

why do we all flock to the name alex when making these characters. same thing with winchester sisters. people just independently come to the conclusion that these characters would be named Alex or some variation thereof. 

it doesn't bother me or upset me but it's interesting.

Headcanon

Alex likes tall boys. It's really rare for her to find guys that are as tall as her, let alone taller, so whenever she finds one she's like eyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

She stood up and strode over to the window through which he'd entered. "You didn't step on my orchids," she said, after close examination of her window box, and turned to face him. "I guess I'll let you live."
