No Kill Rules
Batman: Batman should never kill under any circumstance. It's a fundamental part of his nature to value all human life and want to believe in rehabilitation. It separates him from revenge seeking killers and corrupt cops. Batman does not kill
Daredevil: Daredevil should get to drop the no kill rule whenever Bullseye comes around, as a little treat. Let it feed into his catholic guilt and catharsis born of violence. It's always fun to see how fucked up Bullseye's body and mental state gets whenever Matt drops the no kill rule for a bit

I’m probably a bit late to the party, but I’m just gonna say...
Verdant Wind is my favorite. Not because of what it is, but exactly what it means. That it is the perfect storyline... for my taste. And everyone has their own! The personal story and arc of Dmitri is moving, and I’m so glad he’s the favorite of many! Aiding a queer woman disassemble the oppressive power structure that traumatized her is super powerful and satisfying! But compared to the stories of everyone else, it feels like the Golden Deer still have so much more of their stories to tell. And I freaking love that. Yes, Dmitri and El still need to grapple with TWSITD in their respective stories, but Claude’s dream is still unrealized. And it’s not a dream that you can do the right way in a few chapters. Claude doesn’t want to thear down these barriers via bloody banners of unification and conquest, at least, that’s not the way he presents his ideals. It’s a path that could take him years, decades, hell maybe his whole life. That is not a story that can be wrapped up neatly in one game’s arc. At least, not this type of game. That’s what I love about it. With how Claude wants to achieve his dream, he’s got a long path to tread. And on the subject of the rest of the Deer, the same missions as SS, and the final boss. I love it equally so. And I love that the Deer aren’t as connected to their final boss. Because they are the group people would least expect. They are a collection of the loudest personalities, and yet are the least aspirational? Leonie wants to help her village, Ignatz just wishes his family would let him paint, Lorenz just wants to keep up his noble duties, Hilda is Hilda, Marianne wishes to remain reclusive. Between everyone Claude and Lysithea have the biggest aspirations and drives. (I’m not saying the rest don’t, but are smaller scale in comparison.) And yet, it’s this group of shoved-together bumblefuck chaotic dumb people that pulls at the deepest corruption and evil at the heart of Fodlan. Not the folks from the Holy Kingdom with intense pressure for Knighthood. Or the immensely powerful and well-oiled Empirical Machine. These are from an area of a bunch of nobles just wheeling and dealing one another. Scrapped together and forced to make it work. It’s the Golden Deer and their underdog scrappiness that work together and truly overcome the largest threat. It’s the perspective of an outsider that’s able to reveal the darkest parts of the continent and show those secrets to the world. Where he learns his first lesson on a much, much longer path. So, even if it’s a slapped on skin, with a less tidy arc and finale, I love it the most.

I just read a few strange responses to the TLoVM previews and I just want to quickly clarify that creating itemized lists of details that were changed when adapting the streamed show does not qualify as media analysis or "valid criticism".
"They changed (minor detail)" Cool. You are stating a fact. Now what?

SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK! I, for one, cannot wait for Sunil’s performance!
1. DAVID TENNANT IS IN THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA?!?!?! (I know he worked with Sam on Ducktales, it still gleefully surprised me)
2. I swear none of you better be dicks to Sunil Malhotra for Gilmore just because he’s not Matt. We know that Gilmore is very special to Matt, but we also know he was uncomfortable voicing a person of color as a white man and that is very respectable.

I understand if folks are upset about the whole amazon prime thing. But honestly going “I KNEW THEY WERE MAKING A SCAM” is ridiculous.
Animation is expensive. Getting help to produce it saves a massive shit ton of money. This doesn’t mean they were behind the scenes plotting a scam from the very beginning.
Amazon is shit. I ain’t defending them. But the truth is without them we’d probably have to wait more. And they would have looked real sketchy if they took too long after so much money from the kickstarter helping to get their foot in the door so to speak. Now I’m not fully sure if Amazon is being a sort of producer to make sure they stream on their service. I’m guessing this is what they’re stuck doing. Ya’ll know damn well the CR team don’t plot elaborate scams.
Will also say however that I don’t blame folks that want to pirate it to not give amazon anything. Not something I’d do because I would still want to show support to the folks that worked on it. But that’s just me. Although I am curious if in the future perhaps they’ll release the series on blu ray. That’d be neat.

Hey can the Critters do something?
Not a social justice post, but for the safety for the fandom. Can we just use some Hashtags, @-ing the cast, saying it in stream chats and youtube comments, that NFT’s for this brand are not a good idea? With a scumbag COO who fucking loves Crypto shit, I’m sure it’s been mentioned. And I’ve seen how many fans are willing to drop the fandom over it. And it makes sense. Yes, they are a business. Yes, they’ve made a show. But this will likely be a nail in the coffin for a shitload of people. Too corporate. Too trendy. And it feels manipulative of the fans if they would do that. Please, let’s make our voices known, and get the message to Critical Role?
