The band releases their first new track since 2014 via BitTorrent. Listen up.
Four years after their debut LP, Torches, Foster The People still defies easy categorization: indie pop that bristles with intelligence, curiosity, and the occasional weaponized hook. 2014’s Supermodel saw the band exploring new territory: acoustic, psychedelic, and electric.  Today, they’re sharing the previously unreleased “The Unforseeable Fate of Mr. Jones” with fans exclusively on BitTorrent Bundle.

Foster the People is going to release digitally the track “Ruby” this Friday, which is available for pre-order on Amazon. The song was included as the b-side of the “Broken Jaw” limited vinyl release back in 2012.

@fostertheart "Fostering the Artists" | Mark told me last week that he wanted to create something with me for this site. After meeting up with him and collaborating, he decided that he wanted to create an original quote. He then decided that he would like to involve my students and create a mural for the project. So last night over 30 current and former students met up with us, collaborated and came up with an idea for the mural. I was honored to be involved with this and it was a very surreal experience. After the ideas were all hammered out, Mark wrote the words and did a lot of the sketching of the mural. The students will finish the drawing and begin painting it when school resumes in the Fall /// Afterwards, Mark signed autographs and took pictures with everyone that was there. It was such a rewarding evening and everyone that was there will cherish that experience. I recommend reading the entire quote that @mistersmims included on his post and I challenge you to create an original artwork based off of it. #fosterthepeople

Had the opportunity to film a collab art piece between Mark Foster (aka @mistersmims) and art students from Hudson High School last night. They brainstormed and sketched out the piece on a wall in @tnaujoks photography room that will be painted this semester. More video coming soon. #fosterthepeople #rollhud [x]

Was watching Cage the Elephant perform and guess who was watching, too? Knew those kids had to be related to Foster, which was confirmed when he said his family came from Ohio to watch him preform. Also think he said it was their first time in California. Lucky me at Bottlerock Napa was able to snap these pictures as Foster the People was going to perform next!
