taking a break from the quilt because the same pattern and colour over and over is killing me lol. single thread stem stitch so i can get the detail down. it's going to be part of a larger set i'm gifting to my partner for their birthday.

day 2 lmaO the next 3 are going to look the exact same bc there's been very little difference in temperature this week even though it snowed for 12 hours :')

this book is pretty good for explaining how to do the 'fancier' type of stitches. included the page on how to do the pekinese stitch, ngl it's slowly becoming my favourite border stitch and it's pretty easy.

the first square of my 365 day embroidered ginkgo leaf temperature quilt. obvious the leaf is done using 1 thread stem stitch (my favourite) and the border is pekinese stitch. i decided to use the highest and lowest temps of each day to give it a little variation, with the outside done in the warmer temp colour and the veins in the lower.

i haven't posted anything in ages because dragon age veilguard came out and i became obsessed but i've finished it now and treat myself to 2 new embroidery books

also forgot i hadn't uploaded the most recent progress pic. i hate satin stitch lmAO. my whole bank account to be able to use nothing but stem stitch for the rest of my days/

long and short stitch practice bc one of my newest projects needs large areas of the stitching and i didn't want to go in and make a mess because i'm still rusty at it. the new piece also requires about 23345678765432 french knots so i'm gunna need u all to pray for me lmAO

more progress on the snake. i didn't like the idea of having all that blank space between the body so i fixed it. obviously there's small parts missing that i'll fill in when i've gotten around to actually stitching the rest of it. i suppose it's classed as mixed media now because the gold is ink and not thread.
