fun thing i noticed about my shifting:

I’m not sure how common this is, but I tend to get most shifty anywhere between sundown and midnight - into the early morning hours.

These tend to be more wild & energetic, filled with jumps and leaping from furniture to floor to furniture ! 🦊

I made myself a yarn tail, my first piece of gear today! I started last night and i’d say in total it took me around 12 hours.

I used this tutorial:

Overall i’d give the experience an 8/10, this is my first yarn tail and I didn’t have a pet brush on me so I used a human brush alternative, but I’m happy with the results!

One major question I have is about how I keep the tails shape. Every time I move/shake it around too much it gets really frizzy and sticks out in a couple weird directions. If anyone has experience with yarn tails and knows any solutions, it’d be much appreciated!

Can’t wait to wear this to the park now that spring’s here! 🌷🌼🌱⛅️

Hi, yes, this is a really good point! Just trying to get my voice out here but I’m semi-new therian myself and a common trend among us newer therians (although this can apply to other identities too) is a sense of imposter syndrome. This is a community where everyone should be free to express themselves, where there shouldn’t be one “right” way to be an animal. Thanks for bringing this to light!

I’m genuinely furious abt a lot of creatures saying “I’ve been in the therian community longer than you so that means I know more and you aren’t a real therian!” SHUT TF UPPP OMFG.

You don’t have the right to tell anypup what they are or aren’t. If somepuppy identifies as an animal, that’s just it. You don’t get to argue THEIR IDENTITY. You should know that as a therian yourself. But somehow you’d rather stay a miserable asshat and make others feel unwelcomed in a community where fellow creatures SHOULD understand them.

Like I’m sorry, I thought this was an understanding and accepting community of everypuppy who is nonhuman in some way?? tf dym “you aren’t a real therian/otherkin” just bc somepup experiences their non humanity differently than you? When can we just get on with our lives and worry abt our own troubles instead of harassing ppl for “using the wrong label” ?

The amount of fellow therians that I see being called terrible things for experiencing nonhumanity in a way ONE creature deems “fake” is insane. Stop policing other’s identities. You do not get to choose who they are and you don’t get to choose what label makes them feel comfortable and understood.
