Writing about shifting since it’s late and I feel my paws but see only hands:

It starts with a tingle at the base of my spine; almost like a tug of something that’s supposed to be there but isn’t. Sometimes accompanied by a pang of loss- not right now; this feeling is my purpose.

There’s motion in it, like wiggling your toes with your eyes closed. Gravity affects it, swing your arms and let them drop and it will too. Resting on my back is comfortable enough but there’s something I wish was there like it has been/ should be.

I have it in my arms/hands too, like fur pressed to the skin I have now. Not like a jacket, like my arms should be bigger but aren’t. My hands aren’t small by human standards but they’re not big like they should be. They’re not full of fur and paw pads and huge claws that could hold me on a tree with ease; my purpose.

When this feeling goes to my face, it wrinkles my nose, it makes me curl my lips into a playful snarl. I wish the dull, square teeth I had would warp and sharpen. A full smile I can show off, truly myself.

I sometimes question whether I’d be happy being a bear without the human memories I’ve made; imagining the life I’m living right now melting away for the experience of fur and teeth and bark on my back, standing in a moving river as it turns my pelt sodden. I miss the life I didn’t get to have, but these wrinkles in time of feeling the paws that should be there and the snout I should have make it feel connected. My purpose is tied to me now in a beautiful way :)

it's always "i don't judge !!" until a person is a therian or just nonhuman in general, their religion is something they don't agree with or don't see as a "real or valid" religion [like satanism or autotheism], they identify with xenogenders and use "weird" pronouns, they have a "cringy" style like emo, scene, goth, or harajuku fashion, they're disabled, they act childish and age regresses, they have extreme intrusive thoughts, they have "odd" interests, they don't have proper hygiene because of poor mental health, their identity "doesn't make any sense", they're "too fat" or "too skinny", or they're just "not attractive". stop cherry picking, you can't claim "you don't judge" when you can't accept these people. be better.

They're basically ostracizing a HUGE portion of the therian community by implying it should only be spiritual

Psychological therians exist, and if that's so confusing to you...oh dear.

who else gets teeth dysphoria. who else longs for incisors that leave bloody marks when you bite and canines that rip and tear flesh ? any therians / otherkin up dreaming of a gaping maw, sharp teeth, rows on rows of fangs, molars that can crush bone, a smile of a predator, teeth made for hunting, born to be covered in the blood of fresh kill? no?... just me?.... okay.

I need ideas for Bird Therian Stuff™️ that nobody will notice.

Specifically I’m a black-capped chickadee, bluebird, and sandpiper.

I don’t know why I’m behaving so strangely right now, so I apologize if this post seems like it was written by a third grader lmao

@cheesecake-the-chicken is the only bird therian I’ve ever interacted with here so I’ll just tag him here in case he’s got any advice
