Hey king. Uhm. A guy who looks just like you but, like, gayer somehow just walked into the building. It's uncanny.

[Fran crouches down to the height of the childsized table at the front of the toom, placing his bag. As she rifles through it she speaks, projecting his voice like he does when a kid hides under the tables or in the playground, the voice you use to pretend you cant see them]
Well! Here i am-
[He takes out a plate of cupcakes. They're frosted lopsided in yellow peaks]
I brought what you asked.
[He then takes out a rabbit stuffed animal. It is soft, pink, and well worn. The stuffing has been compacted in ways that leaves empty parts in the arms and legs. It looks like it's meant to sit up, but as fran sets it down it flops forward]
Take care of her. Her name is trinity. I uhm- I hope you like it i guess?
[The animatronics all stare forward silently. Francis shrugs, pops up, and leaves the room]
[The animatronics spend the first part of the night aimlessly wandering the front room, stopping every once in a while to stand and stare at the display at the table.
Fran zones out midway through, and when he comes back to the cupcakes are all gone, the wrappers neatly stacked in their place.
The robots spend the rest of the night wandering the pizzaria. They almost seem dazed, movements slow and strangely fluid. They follow each other in circles like their playing a game.
Fran catches a few videos. He's been doing that more as of late. It feels... important. To have proof, even if she doesn't share it with people, if only as a confirmation of her own sanity.
He leaves that next morning with the plate and with Trinity, who he finds with a new bow tied around her neck. The bow is bulky and lopsided, like a child tied it, but he can't bring himself to take it off. It feels like a gift.
It was, all things in consideration, a good night.]

[Francis is in a back room of the pizzeria, door shut and lights off. It's the kind of dark that makes you see floating colors and shapes as your eyes try to make sense of the lack of information. He goes to push himself off the floor before his hand recoils.
The floor is sticky and wet. He isn't sure how exactly he didn't feel it before, but she can feel it seeping into her jeans now. The liquid is strangely warm for what is assumedly a water leak. Francis tries again to stand and finds he can't.
There is someone in the room in front of her. He can hear them breathing.]
Hello? Night is that you?
[Silence]
Rose?
[Silence, longer this time. Francis takes a shakey breath in]
Margot?
[The person walks forward. Their shoes click with each step, but not the way his bosses heels do, which is definitely a good thing. They sound like the mary janes his mom had always made him wear on holidays.
The person fiddles with the chain for the light. It almost sounds like the person can't quite reach it. The person sighs, and it sounds like they are rifling through a bag. Suddenly there is a click, and a small pen flashlight illuminates a bit of the room, and the persons face.
It's that kid again. Fran still can't see her face. It's like it distorts the moment she can access the visual information, and yet there is a familiarity. Like a memory. The kid tilts her head and tucks a strand of short ginger hair behind her ear, stepping a bit closer]
"They want you to bring the rabbit. The pink one we got on that trip."
[Suddenly, Fran can see behind the first kid. There are more children, all in older clothes. She can't make their faces out at all, but they remind him distinctly of something too. A news story, maybe?
He tries to stand up again. He can't. One of the kids leans forward and whispers to the little girl.]
"They're saying you should probably wake up now. Remember the rabbit for your next shift."
[Another kid leans forward. The kid relays as she listens]
"And some cake. Moms recipe."
[Fran rockets up. He's in the breakroom. He must've fallen asleep while leaving again. Margot is standing over him, staring intently, and he bangs his head into her nose on accident as she bolts awake.
She apologizes profusely as she pulls on her coat, trying to move as quickly as possible away from his boss and out the door]

[The recording starts. Nothing is visible, presumably the result of the video being an accident, and the phone being in Frans back pocket. A person can be vaguely heard, but they aren't clear enough to understand]
[Fran:] Yeah, my job brings me a lot of- stress, I guess? I needed a place to talk about it all, without fear of..
[The person interjects]
[Fran:] No, they wouldn't fire me. It's- we'll they always need workers badly. It's complicated. But I just can't leave.
[The person speaks again, and Fran shifts in his seat]
[Fran:] I guess I feel, like, devoted to the place? Oh god, this is gonna be a long story- I uh- I used to have a sister. A twin, actually. We were really close. You know, a twin is like a best friend when you're that young! We dressed the same, had similar names, the whole deal. We were basically a package deal.
[Fran sighs]
[Fran:] When I was like- 5? 6, maybe? Me and Chessie went missing on a trip in Salt Lake City. You know kids, mom looked away for one second, she saw something shiny and I followed. I uhm... I don't really remember much. I do remember being really scared though, and I remember that after a while, she wasn't with me anymore, and after that it goes all fuzzy.
[Fran pauses, and you can hear her clear her throat]
[Fran:] I was found at a project fazbears had going at the time. I must've been drawn to the funny animals. Someone saw me outside and recognized me from the amber alert. It was a whole thing. They never found my sister, though. They put me through every therapy they could find, trying to find out what happened, but I just don't remember. Never have.
[Fran shifts in his seat again]
[Fran:] When I moved here, there was a Fazbears with a vacancy open. Daywatch, making sure kids don't get hurt or snatched or whatever. It felt- right. Full circle, y'know? Like I was honoring Chessie by doing it. The job *sucks*. Pay is bad, I do jobs that aren't mine, and god I hate my boss, but it feels like if I leave, it would be betraying her. And I just cant-
[The phone dings, low storage. Fran gasps and pulls in out of her pocket. Her eyes are watery, rimmed with darker eyebags than usual]
[Fran:] Geez- this was recor-
