In proper randonnee style, I equipped this bike with a traditional sac de Hamburg. Like the vaunted yellow leader’s jersey or hand-tuning one’s spokes to a melodious G Major, the viande de vélo (literally “bike meat”) is a cherished cycling tradition. While space-age materials like carbon fiber save weight and preserve hot-off-the-grill temperatures far better than the coal-powered contraptions of yesteryear, the classic lines and dual-sided zipper indicator (pickles/no pickles) of the “bicyclist’s best friend” remain a testament to the longevity of simple design.

Sometimes I just peace out for a week and live in the studio getting shit done until I can’t stay awake any more. This bracelet was supposed to take the whole semester and it’s done so I can be a real human again hooray

hey !!! Due to snow and icy road conditions these past few weeks I have not really been able to work due to not living in the same town as the company I work for. Last week I missed an entire week worth of pay and this week I was only able to go in for two days. Due to trauma that comes with driving caused mostly by having a friend get killed by an 18 wheeler this past year and an old high school classmate driving into the lake and dying after sliding across the ice on the bridge I have to cross over every day to get to work- I haven’t wanting to chance driving in this weather at all. I also cannot afford to not go to work because I have to pay rent at my new place April 1st, for therapy sessions ($50 biweekly) and medication (I am epileptic and diagnosed manic depressive “bipolar disorder”), I was also set to take a  trip to Oakland, CA at the end of this month (March 18th) for an art show that may not happen also.

I am asking for helping- if you can! with these expenses. It would be so greatly appreciated, I’m already so grateful for the support you all have given me already just with all the tender messages I receive almost daily that have been helping me in more ways than you could understand.

In exchange, I’ll be sending copies of my zines to those who are able to donate and also doing personalized one of a kind zines for those who ask upon donating!
