Apparently, i just remembered that my first Monster High doll was Picture Day Abbey.

#i got scooter ghoulia and ghouls alive clawdeen on the same christmas#2012 i think#i hated that clawdeen but i still have that ghoulia and her scooter#and its funny because i didn't even like the dolls at that time i was a fierce bratz kid#but i was super into the lisi harrison novels at the time#i moved so much as a teen and despite abandoning nearly my entire childhood doll collection i still held onto that ghoulia#wild to think about...

I had so much fun with this custom! Definitely had some hiccups here and there...pretty much right at the end which was a bummer... but I'm obsessed with her! I have a couple more MH X LPS customs I'm itching to start when I get the time!
#monster high#monster high gen 1#littlest pet shop#lps custom#clawdeen wolf#toralei stripe#toradeen#id in alt#i love her with all my heart my god did i have a hard time towards the end of the project lol#all of the painting went really really well#i had a little trouble with the eyes initially cuz i used the wrong kinda paint but overall it was a great time#of course up until i finished it all and it was time to seal the paint#i use a good matte varnish but the problem was i forgot to water it down#so it kinda globbed up and dried really unevenly...she has some white spots where it pooled and dried#annoying and i was mildly devastated but you cant really tell#getting her head back on though....MY GOD#i couldn't get it back on for the life of me...i almost damaged the neck peg and absolutely destroyed the paint job on her chest#finally resorted to boiling water and that worked#then i had to try to mix up a fresh batch of paint to match as close as possible to her fur color#which i wasnt super successful at...but i was so over it at that point#i still love how she came out but im still so shook at how it fell apart right at the end#next one i do im not separating the head from the body fuck that lol#so yeah those were the trials and tribulations of this project#there are so many id like to do but im kinda limited by the blank lps molds i can find on aliexpress

Hmm. My excitement about finally owning a Boo York Cleo has diminished a bit upon realizing that she is significantly paler than my creepro Cleo.
#monster high#monster high dolls#monster high gen 1#cleo de nile#she looks ill in comparison lol#i would blame the shimmer in her skin but its so off that i feel like that can't be the only reason#eesh...pretty sure nefera in this line is super pale compared to her original doll too#which makes no sense since she always had shimmery skin#it does seem like they used a light colored shimmer and they should have used a gold toned one#ugh im really annoyed about this but there's nothing i can do about it#text post#i also wish they hadn;t stopped giving cleo that little tail at the end of her eyebrows#i love it so much i think its such a pretty and neat detail

Another thing about the Vampire twins from the pride comic is that their names really don't fit in universe for vampires. Gloom and Shade... I would have expected them to be ghosts or wraiths or something. Not vampires.

One of the things I love about Monster High are the incredible character designs.
But for some reason that doesn’t translate to the comics because allegedly these are new characters but all I’m seeing is Streakless Frankie and Skinny G3 Draculaura & Valentine from this years Pride comic.
These 2 from last years Pride Comic are cute though.

My pride comic and the Werecat Twins shipped, and my Boo York Cleo got delivered today and she is in such great condition. She's one of my top favorite Cleo dolls, and I'm so happy that I got her at such a good price!

Comic 1: kiyomi crushing on draculaura and dealing with the complicated feelings that arise when she learns that she's dating clawd
Comic 2: neighthan and frankie both have arcs relating to their gender identities and validation
