Para: Lawahiz de Aguas Bajas
< A note, passed from one who has held the Sword to one who seeks it. >
< I have watched your mission with great interest between tasks that must be done in Black Skies. It is very rare that one who fishes in shallow waters would emerge here, rarer still that they would hunt. >
< I will remind you of what those from High Ground often reminds my Creed, as Irati has not learned this habit. The sword rots the hand that grasps it. It is a vice that constrains Becoming and that would cut and entangle every Line it crosses. You must do gentle work with it, fisher, you must be precise. >
< But you surely know this. Consider my repetition a joke. >
< If you have no experience finding Espadas I offer you mine. They are sure, and good humored, and know well what we would ask of Sword Law and what we must always reject. >
< I offer you this because your task is urgent, and because casting your line for Espadas can sometimes only pull in the bloodthirsty and cruel. >
< Ayaan I Luz y Magali de Cielonegro >
#Ayaan I Luz y Magali de Cielonegro,
{How marvelous. You approach bearing a Gift at the very moment I am in need. God bless you for your generosity, dear Ayaan.}
{Certainly your joke is well recieved; I should never bring an Offense about to my Kin of High Ground, but it is clean in such a place, and free from much Burden. Your Creed must understand alike to mine, that had we no use for a Sword, one would need never hear such a warning.}
{I will follow to you and avail of your Espada, as few as may not cause Burden. Their Flea is sick upon itself and their Thief is frail, I do not expect much challenge in this.}

Note
{t is indeed dark. they do not see the wisdom in execrating their family, and seeing them saved of Name. The Thief has even said unto me that I had Erred, and that the Knife which they had taken was to be theirs from the first. They seek shield by imploring the Mother’s Law, as if they Spoke it. There is no bounds to this contempt.}
{I must admit, I find myself curious. it is best to know the Shape of this one, so I may set their Chronicle to rest with utmost art. Send for your Sibling, if there is no Burden; I would be keen to know.}
#Irati I Hikmat y Yamileth de Altosuelo,
#Aprovecharé el Nodo que me conectó Fuensanta, pues debo ir a buscar una Espada. El Ladrón que he encontrado se niega a entregar la Curiosidad, y aun así, con tantos inocentes abundando, no puedo tomarla yo mismo sin incurrir en un error de mi Ley.
#Al irme, tengo algunas preguntas. Hay una Abominación a bordo, La Pulga, y al enterarme de ella, descubrí que incluso intentó arañar tu oficina una vez. ¿Es cierto? De ser así, lamento profundamente que hayas corrido tal peligro por mi error.
-Lawahiz de las Aguas Bajas
{I will be availing myself of the Node made connected by Fuensanta, for I must go and collect a Sword. The Thief of which I have found refuses to relinquish the Curiosity, and yet with so many innocent abound I may not take it myself without falling in error of my Law.}
{As I go, I find myself with questions. There is an Abomination aboard, a Flea, and in my learning of it I discovered it even tried to claw at your office once? If so, I have much remorse, that you would be emperiled by the consequence of my past error.}
)The Gates to my Site are open to you, as I have promised. You may reach through it, through the Interfacer, and your Voice arrive near your Espadas node.(
)I fear then, that your Mission is not taking the shape you anticipated, if you traveled without Espada and must now resort to such a path. I bow my head with you in regret and pray that this matter yet concludes without bloodshed.
A flea is known to me, though it reached out to us before my Conduct of the Site, it exchanged words with my youngest Sibling, and what it told me of the thing made me wish creation was not so dark at times. That we could know more of these beings which hound us, without in appoaching them, inviting harm.
Further knowledge on its shape lies only with my Sibling, whom I could reach out to in this, perhaps to shed some needed light.(
)Irati I Hikmat de Altosuelo(

My Shape is great and twisting.
To describe it in a way, it is like the nest of a Bower-Bird, swept up by many strong winds. It dances through Black Skies and Low Waters alike with ease; it does what it is able. It is a Shape I am pleased with, and have achieved it through the long Conversation between my pieces of self. That which was given me, that which was changed within Low Waters, and that which I have myself made— upon each of these I found lacking the entirety of me, and so have therein intermingled. I am Becoming, such as is the nature of some Kin, forevermore, and my Chronicle represents this.
I walk its halls now, the chambers of my Heart in a sense; for I am vexed.
The Thief, they which hold the Knife from me; they claim they have done good. They claim it was them that ought have held it, and not the Gente who it called for. Yet who are they, to put such a Burden upon me? Who are they that have not delved the Low Waters such as I have, and rested so near to the heart of the Nonshape, to doubt my Deeds? Were she Just, and remorseful in truth, they wold present themselves to me alone, and with the Knife in tow.
Instead, they surround themselves about with the Kin who have done no wrong, who were given lies and confusion. Instead they have deigned to play as a child, and make cries for the Mother's Law-- as if I were to act in Disaccord to it! All while an Abomination writhes in sleep upon their Ship, upon who they have further cast Doubt to protect.
I walk my halls and there is a great clamouring within me; it is the Curioisities I have found, who wish to be known by High Ground. I hush them with a word, for I too long to set my Chronicle along the Spine once more; I am weary from my long Deeds. Yet this one Ship, in truth this one Thief, prevents my kind return.
Oh God, will you not hear my Voice and understand? They vex me, they will not Accord; and I am weary.
...
I will bring about a Sword, to encourage their hand. Mother's Law is at my back, and the wisdom of High Ground, and the wisdom of the Creed of Low Waters. The Sword will hang above and they will know my Voice is true.

¡Qué colmo de insolencia…!
[interpretación lista]
Thief, you raise your Voice as a petulant child. I have long waded in the low waters; you perform such ill upon me and my Kin, who deign in our skill to Chronicle these things and let them to rest, and you say the error is ours? This is a heavy Account to rest upon me.
You say you have mended well with it; the Knife appears well-worn and changed, indeed. You say you have not cut. To that I ask of the Abomination which has overtaken your Kin, and emptied out his Name. How could this be, but for the confusion you have caused? Now it is of no Burden whether the Knife is yours, you have mis-used it; I must now avail myself of it, and do the unhappy work of laying her Chronicle at once to rest.
Respond and be in Accord, I will not have otherwise. Let us end this childishness.
Harm reduction. That is what she purports to play at, it is what we must follow in kind. Threadline, stand ready and affirm?
…Standing ready.
Sal, I don’t know how much this is gonna—
Broadcasting. Go ahead.
I am Loulou Greeves; I am your thief. I call now to you, Lawahiz of the low waters, diver of the depths; I beseech your mercy in deed, and know what has transpired in the wake of my error.
She could stand to make it sound like she cares.
Give her a rest. It’s not like we didn’t know she had a history.
Behold your knife, the curiosity which fell into my hands. It is changed, the blade is worn by much joining, nigh on inseparable from its deeds. I ask you understand, I have done much kindly work by it. I have preserved the lives of my kin, I have taken care and measure to keep a tight weaving of our lines, as you would say. Look upon those you hold now, blameless as they are, and know I speak true.
I ask you not to consider yourself erred twice-again, but it is possible there was an ought to this, yes? Perhaps the owner was meant to be I; perhaps, it was not necessary to destroy such a thing upon its understanding.
Look now, I beg you. Reconsider what it is you ask, and do not guide the sword upon me and mine. You are of the Mother’s Law, think deep upon what you do.

A plea, sent from bended knee:
I reach out to you having learned of the nature of your quarry and who you hunt. They are known to me, and I ask of you to offer mercy to the one you call abomination, for I know her first as a friend and one whose association with la Pulga was born from ignorance of its true nature.
I fear for the fact that I have not heard from him since my last unscheduled voyage into shallow waters, although I had thought this a relic of my own silence during my recovery and not a broader context I must fear. But the crew she ventures with now seems to know not of her being, and while I have accustomed to having my requests for knowledge and aid answered in oblique terms, I ask now not for myself but for another.
If you can aid my friend, I will be in your debt. I understand the significance of this offer and still make it freely.
[interpretación lista]
Good Marqués,
You have Reason to fear for your friend, then! Of all Beasts, la Pulga is among the most foul. It undoes one’s Line entire and causes great confusion in this, and when the waters rise to collect their due— as waters shall— it and its host shall drown. If her Kin have yet begun to find emptiness in her Name, then it is grave indeed. There are others, Chroniclers and Diplomats who have shared these stories unto the Black Skies— you may find them and see I speak true.
Your concern moves me and I commend you for this exhortation of Voice, but you need not extend your debt nor pay of Obol, kind Marqués— the Deed is mine, and I am to bear Account for its repair. La Pulga has almost certainly found your friend, or rather she has become it, through the foolishness of the Thief of which I await the surrender. In this, it is my Burden to reclaim the Knife which was taken, and in its subtle use cut and wind her Chronicle entire. It may not continue, frayed as it is, but it will be a fine Chronicle, and kept in the usual manner, that she be remembered as Kin and not a Beast.

Dear Marqués, your Voice was clear and bright. It appears instead an error in understanding, for which you carry no Burden. I shall here set right.
I cannot cut the Beast from your Kin, unhappy as this is, any more than I may cleave the heat from a flame. Once, perhaps, but such is the misery of La Pulga— the momentary Self, the Line of a person, becomes unwound, and what others see in persisting is merely the shadow of the Beast, which drinks deep and becomes it. They are become one and the same.
The Knife of Ablution, as it is called, may cut and join all which rests upon it, but that is all— it will not weave back your Kin’s Chronicle. Such is my Burden, then, to prevent further disgrace upon her Name.
Move gently with this understanding, Marqués, and know I will perform caring work.

Thankfully, it has only been a little effort to perform a Deed through me, and to put the Ship of the Thief awash in a current of the Nonshape. It may only float now, its will to move deflects through a Point-Less place and is made futile. I hope that this may come to make those which keep the Thief and the Abomination aware of my Voice, and to listen, and perhaps consequence may be taken swiftly.
Additionally, a kind Gente has sent the following Symbol to me, in honor and respect of the one I have attempted to craft. It pleases me and I believe it to be more in Accord to your customary Signs, and so will comport this Chronicle as such.

[Transmitiendo a través de muchos límites]
A greeting and introduction of sorts, that I may be known and understood among the Gente in their common Voice.
I am Lawahiz de Aguas Bajas, and in your Voice may also go as as Glances of the Creed of Low Waters. I go by ‘she’, and ‘her’, although my Shape has changed much along the Spine and I fear these terms may misrepresent my presence here. I am an a Flier, known as Volador in my Voice; the mission I have taken up is that of an Angler, which your people may know; my Law is to be much changed, and to delve deep, and to recover many Curiosities so that they may be Chronicled and done with as they ought. I am also somewhat of a Ship, or have begun to change in such a way, in accordance with my Law and Deeds. In my way, and before I return to High Ground, I must hold myself to Account of prior errors.
One of you has stolen from me, and undone much with this theft. I am to now set this right.
I submit myself to the witness of this Omni-net that my Chronicle is kept, that no Deed shall pass without observation, and to make my Voice hears by those which adhere to the Sword Law. I pay now my Obol, and the long plight begins.
{Hello! Apparently I can’t go three seconds without making another lancer blog; this one is at least partly for in-the-moment plot development purposes with the Mud Wasps but I figure Lawahiz might as well be around for general yapping, too. She’s a chronically over-serious person, and very focused on this new quest of hunting down her thief! Not much else to say about her in the moment.}
{Most of what I write here regarding the Voladores is coming from osmosis or just asking @losvoladores a million questions bc the lore they’ve done thus far is truly amazing, but I’m also just riffing and doing my best! If something conflicts with the canon elsewhere, hopefully it can just be chalked up to Glances being an odd egg by even Vol standards.}

[interpretación lista]
You have great Reason, Marqués, and there I find comfort. You say that through many Laws, there is a response of taking in kind; yet this is not always cruelty, for one must on occasion wrest the Sword from their hands, that they may not cut again. This I find most amenable to my Law.
I will tell you now, as an exchange such that my Creed are given to— I had once found a Curiosity which was found, whose Voice declared to me that it belonged to another; I had hence kept it as I searched the Black Skies for its destination. It was an important thing, and you may know this— a Knife, of many Shapes, which could both cut and join all which rested upon it. It was to be given unto the Gente that it declared, there to be considered, and then removed altogether by way of joining with itself. This was not the case, as an Impostor did board my Ship and abscond with it.
I have found them, and observed them for a little Time, and seen that they have performed great confusion with it, as a child would. Not only have they cut and joined much, and retained the Knife, but they host upon their number a detestable thing, a Beast which I am certain was made by its use. This thing, la pulga que pervierte el sentido, may no doubt be a thief in kind, and so I am now held to Account for what has been made of my error.
You have advised me well in considering how best to apply my Deed, for the Sword Law is not mine, but I am moved to allow those which bear it to now act. May God follow in your steps, Marqués.
[interpretación lista]
And now I have surfaced once again, and far from High Ground, for a reason of great import. But there little haste to my actions and so I wish to observe and learn from the Gente, to seek Counsel (and perhaps I play at the work of my Kin in this, and that is well).
As I order myself once more, and weave my Line firm and well again, I find myself curious. In my incautious way I delved deep and gained many things, and lost yet others, and there the keeping of moments was a frenzied dance, so I have forgotten which Law those in this place cleave to. So let me ask you, and avail myself of your kindnesses as I rest and re-order—
What is one to do with a thief, who steals possibility?

I have now been told by one among your number that my Shape as presented to the Omni-net lacks Reason, and makes the impression of a mockery. I assure that this is not the case; rather, I am unskilled in the workings of your Customs, and in my unfamiliarity may have erred. Know that the face I present here is meant indeed to be a Symbol, and represents not my true Shape but rather demonstrates the depth of my aggrievance.
Attend, in greater detail:

Apologies, and I will clarify.
[sussuro: It is good to speak to one like you in these Shallows, in passing— I had once, and foolishly, feared something of an Incursion when last a mirror-hull’d Husk drifted in the Low Waters. There was much ado.]
A thief can steal many things, but of the worst is possibility. Shapes may be remanded, as with your Printers— only the attachment to the thing taken remains lost. This is important, and the loss is an offense, but well repaired. Meaning can be found anew, and here in the Black Skies as with High Ground there is not much which can be lost that is not made again.
Theft of life, murder or the loss of Subjectivity in your words— with this there is far less recourse, but it still an event to be Chronicled. Such a thing is far harder to do for our sort than yours, for the emphasis on a single lonely Line means the cutting thereof is simple, and done by many ways. For us that hold Chronicle, and so have a different way of seeing, it is tricky and not worth the time. Still, a deep offense to be sure.
Far deeper still is the theft of Chronicling— to hold others to false Account for one’s own benefit, to declare that they are lesser, to turn Swords against them. Union, or the parent which bore its Name and Voice, did so in great number, and it was for this we turned away as we saw what was done, and were right to do so. This is a sort of theft of possibility, for it leaves that one’s Voice is lost and may be unwound evermore. It is for this sort of theft Union-the-child stepped away from its parent, as I have heard it told.
What I ask you to consider— there is a way to thieve all these three at once. A Shape, Curiosity of a particular sort which was owed to another, by which one or a many could be undone, their Lines severed— and indeed in childish hands, which could unwind even one’s own Chronicle, and lead to much confusion. Such a thief would steal from all and themselves, and for this I must wonder what a fitting Account should be?
[interpretación lista]
And now I have surfaced once again, and far from High Ground, for a reason of great import. But there little haste to my actions and so I wish to observe and learn from the Gente, to seek Counsel (and perhaps I play at the work of my Kin in this, and that is well).

[THE ERUPTION] ___\\|//___
[profundidad: 19 brazas.]
Pero te he visto, ahora, y mis actos serán enmendados.
[Nosotras hemos alineado.]
Sí, y gracias a Dios, te he encontrado.
