in some au natsume beats up neighbourhood thugs and sakura hate snuggles nyanko-sensei because both of these boys are the literal same™. they went through hell 80 times over and got kinda mean and anti-social in some ways but the moment they have the option to just be soft, good, golden retriever boys with a bit of a temper, strong morals and a now and then flying fist they just melted into it. 30+ found family members, no bio family to speak of and a lot of snacks; with all found family members being kinda too weird to bring around but very nice if you do somehow see them.
