Where are the fanfictions where the girls reveal the truth to Bobby?!
I’d watched Kpop demon hunters and it’s one of my favorite movies of all time that it had me subscribed to multiple fanfictions of them. But I’d noticed how there’s a lack of fics where the girls reveal that they’re demon hunters to Bobby. Bobby is one of my favorite part of the movie because he love and support his girls so much. He’s a positive male role model that we need to see more of. I need more fics of him where the girls trying to stop Boddu from finding out their secrets but they end up telling him eventually. Or one where he knew the whole time but was just acting. Or one where the Saja boys think he knew the whole time and they tell him by mistake. Or where after the girls reveal their secret and that the Saja boys are demons (or used to be depending on the fanfic) and they dating, despite not knowing how to fight he threaten them that they better not hurt his girls and he prove to be much scarier them Gwi-ma. Or one where the Saja boys try to impress Bobby and ask his permission to court the girls because they view him as the girls’ father figure and want follow customs based on the time period they’re from.Or one where demons kidnap Bobby to trap the girls only it end up bad for them because the girls don’t play when it come to Bobby. Where are the stories people?! Show this man some love?!

i feel like the only reason Bobby doesn't know about the girls being Demon hunters is because he doesn't ask questions, his main focus is making sure they're taken care of
they're acting cranky or just in general sore because of a fight or whatever and he doesn't ask, just brings them up like a whole period basket of candy and a heating pad and ibuprofen and like
He's a lil confused but he got the spirit (the girls don't stop him because that stuff does help)
Rumi tells him she needs all of her outfits to have her arms and neck and upper chest covered? Done. Maybe she has some sort of scarring, maybe she's just self conscious, maybe it's any sort of other things that isn't his place to pry about
His forever first and foremost concern is that his girls are safe and comfortable and well taken care of, and I think that's beautiful and he is perfect

Ok, so we all know Bobby is the best manager ever right? Complete angel of a marshmallow man. He is SO here for his girls!
Huntr/x all the way!
But as a good manager he also knows this out of nowhere boyband is blowing up socials. He's got to get some kind of collab going! Or set up their rivalry in a good, fun, productive way for both groups! Who's managing the Saja Boys? Saja Boys: ...Jinu?
Ooooook, weird... the frontman? Who writes the songs?
Saja Boys: ...Jinu?
Choreography?
Saja Boys: ...Jinu?
Wardrobe?
Saja Boys: ...Jinu?
Socials?!
Saja Boys: ...Jinu?
BOBBY WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! That's way too much for one guy, this is the path to the industry taking advantage of them and the burnout, gasp- Bobby won't let such talent be lost like this!
His boys now.
And that's how a (pretty confused) group of demons end up in bathrobes on Couch while Bobby works his manager magic for them :3
He can handle managing two bands :3 He's Bobby

astronomy club sent up a weather balloon w a gopro in it last friday. put in three packs of fruit snacks so they could have a giggle over eating fruit snacks that had been to space.
balloon went up into inner space, about 90,000 feet. came down right near the dinosaur park. a few physics teachers drive out to get it, crack it open on the way home to start watching the footage.
fruit snacks are missing.
multiple sources confirm that fruit snacks were put in balloon and sealed in with duct tape. physics teachers check entire balloon. no fruit snacks.
physics teachers watch footage. all 7 hours of it. right in the middle of footage, there are about 8 minutes of visual and audio static when balloon is in orbit. no other interference with balloon recorded.
conclusions: ???????

Okay so some people can’t see objects in their imagination and some people don’t think in words and some people hear their thoughts like a voice and others don’t. I get that
But how many distinct channels do most folks have playing at once? cause my normal range is 2-4 and I though that was just what thinking was LIKE but CBD brings that down to just 1
#No diagram#but you know those videos that have way too much going on?#like several different screens?#yeah#so#main screen is what I actually see#then there's the running commentary on what I see#then there's the running commenterry on the running commenterry#and that can split into several different trains#and they often get their own visuals to accompany#and then#on the sides#we have whatever OC is bouncing around my head like the dvd logo#running commenerry on that charcater#then there's the constant music that I can change if I can rangle main thought train onto it for a moment and think up a diffrent song#then we have another main thought train occpmiantent#wondering how I can use anything and everything in stories#and overall#there's the narratior voice that narrates#and then there's my little voice that is just looking at this mess and going#lol#i might need an adhd diganosis

If someone ever tells you a certain song is important to them you should turn it up and lay on your bed and close your eyes and really listen to it even if its 10 minutes long because at the end you will know that person much better I think

what jinu allegedly did in canon for saja boys to become successful:
recruit four demon members and somehow convince them to join his boyband BEFORE getting Gwi-Ma's approval
taught them how to do different, but synchronized poses on cue
watch over and learn the evolution of modern kpop music, culture, fashion, and fandom
song lyricist & choreographer where he wrote (atleast) two singles and planned every move and expression.
made sure some of the choreo was memorable and easy enough to replicate and go trending
design brand collaterals like the soda cans, billboards, train displays, posters, ad videos, light sticks, oh and the logo too
basically a social media manager to create, edit, and schedule their social media posts
plan a photo and video shoot with the saja boys
record a studio version of soda pop and release it on streaming platforms
publicist where he basically booked them to the variety show, created a PR campaign and all to create hype for their first debut show in public to have some audience (the huntrix girls noted that there were more people than usual in the area before the saja boys' first performance)
gave the boys PR training
booked an entire stadium for the midnight concert
did a kpop boyband bootcamp to wrangle four demons into becoming the perfect idol to act, sing and dance
probably did a 1on1 for each saja boy too to create and establish their character
—all so he can forget his shame and memories

anyways i just love the way kpop demon hunters stayed true to its roots in korean/asian culture, especially around the core theme of community vs individualism
the fact that it's not a single chosen one but a group of three
the fact that the honmoon is not powered by the hunters themselves but by the energy and love of the fans
the fact that gwi-ma turns people into demons by promising that he is the only one who can help them when he is in fact reliant on his army of demons to collect souls for him
the fact that "your idol" is about surrendering yourself to a single higher power while "golden" is about soaring to new heights together
the fact that gwi-ma preys on people's individual insecurities and shame to get inside their heads while rumi, mira, and zoey set them free in the end by encouraging them to embrace their differences and reminding them that they're not alone
the fact that you can see the audience cheering individually and even pushing into each other to get closer to the stage during "your idol"
while they're linking arms and cheering together and hugging during "what it feels like"
i have not seen the live action lilo and stitch but it feels like that movie sits on the opposite end of the spectrum from kpop demon hunters as a case study for how to tell a story in way that is culturally authentic and still resonates with a broader audience
and i think given that the core theme of the movie is all about community over individualism, the ending, particularly as it relates to rumi and jinu's budding romance, is really the perfect culmination of that broader theme
rumi and jinu's connection has all the hallmarks of that all-encompassing, all-consuming, borderline co-dependent first love where you keep your relationship a secret and sneak out of the house to meet up and feel like the other person is the ONLY person who really gets you
i'm the only one who can understand you, i'm the only one who will love you is the kind of thing that sounds romantic when you're 16 until you get older and realize how toxic it actually is and i love that the movie counters that in "what it sounds like" with rumi realizing that she had that love and support all along from her girls, and later, from the fans who continue to cheer them on through their comeback
it's about connection and sisterhood and love and sharing your fears and lifting each other up and becoming stronger and better together
and as compelling as i found rumi/jinu and as much as i would like to see their relationship explored more in a sequel/series, i just really love that this movie, which is clearly targeted at young women, ends on the message that romantic love is not the end all be all, that friendship is just as important if not more so than a romantic partner, that single women can lead successful, fulfilling lives, that true happiness and freedom start from within
it's crazy that this message still seems revolutionary in 2025 but given the current state of the world, it feels more necessary than ever

This is a Moving Forward PSA for everyone using AO3. I am witnessing the results of a culture clash and communication failure. Not a lack of communication, but a misunderstanding caused by changes in fandom culture.
Before fic tagging was common, fics weren’t tagged. You had a pairing, if applicable, an author’s note about genre or general content, and if they were feeling charitable, a vague content warning. There are even a few genres of fic where even vaguely tagging literally spoils the plot and impact (such as horror, psyche thriller, in which the likely content is implicit to the genre). As a result, there is a basic category tag that permits this, as a courtesy to “old-fashioned” writers.
“No Archive Warnings Apply” means the fic is PG13 at worst, probably fluff, totally safe.
“Choose Not to Use Archive Warnings” is the polar opposite. It’s a glaring Enter at Your Own Risk billboard. It means: a shitload of warnings apply but I ain’t telling because this story requires shock value. It’s very important to read the author’s notes for those fics because they might be using that older format from above.
But without the context of fandom culture that generated AO3, it’s understandably easy to conflate the two categories, given their similar wording.
