The animaiton is so stiff and unexpressive that this is the only thing I can compare it to, I would even prefer if they are tposing as I would know the game is not finished, instead of pretending it is.

what if amy isn't in sonic 3 because the movies want shadow to take her role as girlboss with a crush on sonic

Tbh idk why alot people in the fandom saying selflessness defines Amy. Yes she has selfless moments, but I wouldn't say it defines her (I'd say she may have even had more selfish moments than selfless, especially when it comes to her crush on Sonic in some games)

I'd say passion or determination defines Amy. When I think selfless, I think of Elise, or Blaze.

Th most selfless thing amy did was rizzing up shadow so he wouldnt blow up the earth, and even then, she didnt sacrificed anything to do so

While she was being pretty selfish in heroes by wanting to marry him by force, and then in frontiers with the koco thing and the gaslight gatekeep girlboss line

Meanwhile Blaze straight up died to save Silver, and Elise gave up a normal life so the world wouldnt get destroyed, they sacrificed something to achieve their goal

Im just saying, yall know what the movies are up to, what their content is and so their target demographic, is kind of pointless to yell at a cloud, the wind is gonna blow it, not us

Again, if the trailers did not gave you the right vibe, if the stuff you read about it was no to your liking, why continue to chasticise yourself by forcefully engaging with it just so you can say "i thought i was not going to like it and i didnt liked it. I was right!"

You can criticize something, but to continously engage with something you already made a poinr several times you dont enjoy seems masochistic

Imagine going out of your way to engage with a piece of media thag you are already aware does not fulfill your expectations and is following a different set of rules than what you are used to just so you can complain that this piece of media does not fulfill your expectations. How about yall dont watch it, is that simple, if i see a trailer for a movie i dont like and the info about it is not to my liking, i just skip it, is free, nobody is forcing you to watch it, why yoi treathening the people in the puter like yoire some kind of big name celebrity that if your will does not gets obeyed, you will tank the franchise or something, you have the same relevance as i have, you aint the main character, calm down. Angrily posting about it wont change a thing, this movie got finished filming like 6 months ago, and if there is gonna be a sequel, the script was already approved, none of us has any real way of changing anything, so why dont you save yourself tje time and instead engage with media that actually caters to you and that you enjoy?

I dont wanna be that dude but honestly I would like someone to point out to me where sonic is in idw

You guys mean the blue one that looks like sonic? Oh that is just scourge with blue dyed quills, because that is exactly how idw sonic acts most of the time

I am yet to see Sonic, the sonic that appears in every other (coincidentally, all non american) media, this aint sonic, this is Santiago, the stunt double forced into a main character role because the original actor got injured during filming

I'm so conflicted

on one hand im super upset knuckles isn't in the upcoming riders arc, because he would've definately showed up. he always does for these events in the games, simply because he enjoys it and likes hanging out with sonic and tails

(yet the idw ocs are included 🙃)

but on the other hand... i dont want idw to further assassinate knuckles' character 😭

...sonic and the others will still probably shit talk him behind his back though, i won't be surprised if they do :/

knuckles has been done so dirty in the comic, and with his exclusion in this riders arc, it REALLY shows more than ever

It's the IDW dilemma: do you get mad that your fave canon characters get the shaft, or do you sigh in relief that they will be spared from the terrible writing?

(technically, his absence is already bad writing. I'm sure he wasn't included because huehuehue Knuckles is super serious and obsessed with Angel Island and he doesn't know what fun is 🙃)

Personally at this point I'm in the latter camper. I hope they get to the point where not even Sonic appears anymore. Just have entire issues of Whisper and Tangle kissing and Surge and Kit doing Jojo poses! Everyone will be happy!
