Having been a part of this fandom long enough, I have noticed some patterns...

Please don't take any of this seriously in any way, there is no offense meant whatsoever! I love all of the TR characters, and I'm myself guilty of simping for quite a few of them, so no judgement here at all. I wrote this for shits & giggles and the sole purposes of humor and entertainment, like I always do. So, have fun with it, and if you also manage to have a laugh at it, I'll consider my mission completed! Peace 🩷

P.S. I really hope none of this actually resonates with your real life experiences, but if any of it does, here's a piece of big-sisterly advice - please value and love yourself more, and reexamime which trauma responses make you act in that way.

MIKEY, KAZUTORA, SANZU

You either A) suffer from a terminal case of I-can-fix-him-itis, or B) your coddling, nurturing, mothering instincs are running amok. Most likely it's both at the same time - you see the red flags as a call for aid instead of warning signs of danger.

TAKEMICHI, SHINICHIRO

You go for a kind but pathetic, golden-retriever-energy man, who's okay with being at your beck and call at all times. You're actually just a control freak who thrives on bossing others around because you're afraid of letting go.

NAOTO

You're boring as hell and have the personality of unseasoned boiled chicken. You probably have a thing for authority figures, and your deepest, darkest desire is to be handcuffed to a bedpost, so that's why you think police officers are sexy. You'd never in a million years admit that to anyone, not even to yourself, 'cause it would ruin your slyly crafted 'innocent good girl' personna.

DRAKEN

Oh you lil' homewrecker, you're into taken guys! A guy being married or in a relationship has never stopped you from pursuing him. You don't believe in 'off limits' either, and would gladly date your best friend's ex, or even try to steal her crush. Nasty business!

BAJI, KOKO, INUPI

You get turned on when a guy is clearly not into you. You're just twisted like that. You see how kind-hearted he is towards his friends and close ones, and how dedicated he is to his purpose, so you wait in hopes that he might spare some of that for you too, but deep down you know he doesn't give a damn about you, yet that makes you cling even harder.

MITSUYA, CHIFUYU, AKKUN

You're sane and you know a keeper when you see one. You might play it too safe at times, but better safe than sorry, amirite?

HAKKAI

You have a corruption kink and draw sadistic pleasure from torturing the innocent souls.

PAH, PEH, ANGRY, MOCCHI

It's Haru's birthday! ☺️🥰🌸 Ever since it was revealed in the character book, I've been religiously celebrating it every year like an actual holiday, by having some cheesecake in his honor. I even have a handmade drawing of him that was a birthday present from a close friend of mine a few years ago, and I keep it framed on a small altar in my room.

I've had favorite characters, I've had comfort characters, and I've had characters I "kin", but he's something else to me entirely, I don't know... I just know that I love him and that he fills me joy and positivity every single time he appears anywhere, or whenever I look at that drawing. Even the color pink got an entirely new meaning and new concept in my book, ever since he was shown as pink haired.

Is it absolutely deranged to see a fictional character in that way? Maybe. But on the other hand, what are all other "officially recognized" deities if not just fictional characters as well?!

Headcanon - TR characters as toddlers

Ok, I know this is extremely random, but I saw some official chibi art earlier, and my eyes melted from how goddamn adorable they all look! So that's where my inspiration came from for this one. Anyways, here's what they were like as babies/toddlers:

TW: none (I think)

MIKEY - We know that he canonically cried a lot as a small kid, so his grandpa had to figure out some way to make him stop. When no toys, no pacifiers, and no amount of attention and whim-fulfilling helped, in a bout of desperation, Mansaku gave little Manjiro a taiyaki he was about to eat himself. And to everyone's surprise, he not only calmed down, but started smiling, so the Sano household has never been out of sweet pastries ever since! Of course Mikey would be a handful at any age, but if there's one saving grace for his 2-4 year old self, it's that he never refused the nap time! However, Shinichiro, and only Shinichiro, had to be the one to put him to sleep!

DRAKEN - The poor baby was inconsolable for days when his mother abandoned him; he was too little to understand what happened, but he instinctively knew and cried his eyes and lungs out. It was threatening to ruin the business of the brothel, so Masawei took it upon himself to personally take care of the kid, so that he'd be quiet. Little did Masawei expect that he'd get attached to 'Ken-bou' in a matter of days, and that that soft spot for him will remain forever! The girls who were off duty would babysit him as well, and over time little Kenny grew into a really calm and well behaved kid, partly because he never had constant caregivers he'd get fully comfortable with, partly because it's his nature.

BAJI - He's been hyperactive since his earliest days! As soon as he learned to walk, he'd be running around the house, touching everything in his way no matter how dangerous. Ryouko couldn't leave him unsupervised even for a blink! "Keep out of the reach of children" was not an option, baby Keisuke was a little devil, and always found ways to climb the furniture and push everything in his way! (Cat behavior much? Yes.) The only thing that could sometimes keep him calm for about 3 minutes were toy animals and animal picture books, but his excitement would fade quickly, and the next thing you know he's chewing on a toy that was on the floor, or about to climb the stovetop! He seriously gave his mom mini heart attacks every hour. So in order to channel all his extra energy, Ryouko decided to sign him up for a karate class at the neighborhood dojo... and the rest is history!

SMILEY & ANGRY - Their parents couldn't separate them even if they tried! The twins would cling on to each other so tightly at all times, as if they were conjoined. And they shared everything as well, from toys, to always being hungry at the same time, always being sleepy at the same time, always pooping their pants at the same time. If one got scolded, the other would for sure cry as well. Only as they were getting older they started getting slightly more separate senses of self and distinct, seemingly opposite personality traits, but their overprotectiveness over each other and their core emotional oneness remained intact.

RAN - He was soooo excited to welcome his baby brother home! He took his role of "nii-chan" very seriously from day one. Their mom thought it was endearing how Ran was referring to Rindou as 'baby' when he was a baby himself! Like, getting all excited while playing, but suddenly putting an index finger over his mouth: "Shh, quiet, the baby is sleeping!", as if he's scolding his toys. One time their mom got worried because Ran was nowhere to be found in the house, and didn't respond to her calling, only to eventually find him standing quietly next to Rindou's cradle for who knows how long. When she asked him what he was doing there, he said he was "protecting the baby". Once Rindou started walking and talking, they'd occasionally fight over toys or snacks, but always made up quickly.

SENJU - She was the cutest little menace, that clung on to Haruchiyo like a possum! Haru loved her too, loved playing with her, and was very careful with her, but he was often annoyed that she was literally his shadow. As soon as she started crawling as a baby, she wouldn't leave him alone, always clinging on to his feet and smiling ear to ear at him. If she had to be temporarily separated from her Haru-nii for whatever reason, she'd throw a tantrum. When it was the nap time, unless Haruchiyo was also expected to nap with her, there was no way she was falling asleep! If Haruchiyo openly disliked certain foods (like vegetables, etc) in front of her, ain't no way in hell she was trying it! Poor baby Haru really didn't have any choice but to be a good role model for her.

How TR boys show affection/love?

Long time no write, but my hyperfixation is very alive and kicking, as always! And since the weather is getting chillier as we're approaching the full blown autumn, it's the perfect time for some cozy, fluffy thoughts! 🍂🍁☕️🧦

TW: none, just some slight exaggeration for comedic purposes; Reader's gender is not specified

MIKEY - bites.

You can't convince me this adorable, emo menace to society isn't a total menace in every other aspect as well! He likes you means he wants you. He also wants dorayaki because he likes it. Dorayaki is something he chews on. ........... You can see what I'm getting at. He'll just randomly start munching on any bit of your skin he can get access to. And if he gets carried away, he can bite for real! It's just Mikey logic, don't question it, there's no use. But, fair be fair, he also protecc!

DRAKEN - acts of service.

He's the type to reflexively take off his jacket and cover you when you're cold, or go get you a bottle of water when you're out in the hot weather and he noticed you struggling with the heat. He'll always carry your bags and stuff, and doesn't allow you to refuse. You need an errand done - he's already on it. And the best part is that he never thinks twice about doing any of that, it's simply his second nature.

BAJI - surprisingly... also acts of service.

CLUMSY acts of service, but acts of service nonetheless! He'll cook for you (as in, more than just instant yakisoba - an actual meal). He'll bring you a cat when you're feeling down to cheer you up. He'll teach you to fight if you need to blow some steam off. (And he'll happily spar with you, but beware - he has ulterior motives in that sparring session, iykwim 😏) Still, the biggest sign of his affection is if he lets you touch his hair!

MITSUYA - support.

I was tempted to say 'words of affirmation', but on the second thought, just support in every shape and form that you might need. He's your shoulder to cry on when you need to, someone who believes in you when you doubt yourself, and someone you can always rely on no matter if you're going through a petty drama or your world actually just fell apart. He's always there by your side, through thick and thin!

KAZUTORA - trust.

They say that jealousy is the sign of love, but it's the exact opposite in Kazu's case! If you really mean something to him, he won't experience the least bit of jealousy, even if he saw you sitting butt-naked in another man's lap! He'll also be fully comfortable being himself around you, and feel safe to share his past, traumas, mistakes, and his healing journey, without fear of being judged or abandoned. He will just know in his heart that you are his person no matter what!

KOKO - self-sacrifice & physical touch.

I think this is pretty much canon, but allow me to elaborate nonetheless.

Hajime is passionate. When he falls in love, he falls head over heels and worships the ground his s/o walks on! His devotion can sometimes border on obsession, and there is nothing he wouldn't be willing to do for his love! And I mean - nothing - literally no limits! He'd kill or die in a heartbeat for the one he loves, no questions asked! And, since he burns so fervently in love, he cannot help the urge to constantly shower the object of his affection in kisses, to hold them tight and just feel their skin, warmth, scent... Sidenote: he doesn't hug, he embraces!

Hands Headcanon 👐

Just thinking about TR boys' hands (because I am unwell and terminally touch starved 😭). Anyway, in no particular order, here:

Disclaimer and TW: as always, this is written for humor alone. I don't think there's anything particularly triggering in there, but who am I to judge? So if anything in it offends you or triggers you for any reason, just skip, DNI, block, or whatever.

MIKEY - squishy, small, plump, childlike. Coarse skin. Usually greasy from some snack he was munching on until just a moment ago. Just looking at his hands you'd never, ever, guess what kind of violence he's capable of committing with those cute little fists!

CHIFUYU - average looking male hands, nothing that stands out too much, aside from the numerous cat scratches and bites. But then again, that's perfectly normal for an average cat owner, so yeah...

TAKEOMI - ohh, unfortunately, this bitch has sexy hands! Veiny, long and bony fingers, pronounced knuckles, and (somehow) a strong grip. However, the skin on his fingers is yellowed from excessive smoking, so they're not that perfect.

DRAKEN - big guy - big hands. Callused palms from working out and some scars here and there from fights and stuff. As an adult/in good timeline, there's sometimes some oil stains that can't be washed off easily. After all, he is a mechanic, and if you've ever seen their hands, you know what I mean. Also, he's one of those people whose hands are always warm.

KISAKI - sweaty palms; dead fish grip when shaking hands with someone.

KAZUTORA - dainty and thin, with long fingers. Judging from his hands alone, you'd almost think he's an upper class lady and/or a piano player. In final timeline, he's got callused fingertips on his left hand (because, well, playing guitar will that do that to you).

BAJI - rough and literally covered in small injuries! Scratches from feral cats and wild animals he tried to pet, cuts from god knows where, bruises from fights, mostly, burns (obvious reasons), calluses from bike riding and working out, broken cuticles, scarred knuckles... his hands basically look like a war zone! As an adult/in the final timeline, he's not quite that bad but still full of scars from his wild youth, and of couse, always scratched up by cats.

SMILEY & ANGRY - they're twins, so obviously their hands are almost identical in shape and size. They are that type that has the ring finger visibly longer than the index finger. But what didn't need to be identical, yet they both picked up the bad habit from each other - is bitten nails. As adults/restaurant owners, they are aware of the fact that they need to look presentable and clean when working with food and people, so they fix that.

SANZU - well, sexy hands run in the Akashi family. Wide bone structure, super pronounced joints and knuckles ('cause he's borderline anorexic), popping veins, even the smallest ones, and long fingers. However, his hands are always cold.

TR boys' unexpected/random red flags headcanon:

Just some crack and slander for the humor purposes. As always, don't take it too seriously, and have fun with it at least half as much as I did writing it!

Since I obviously need to spell this out for some of you, even though it's literally in the title of the post - these are the red flags you wouldn't normally expect from them! That's the whole point of them being unexpected. So don't go telling me how I missed the mark with some characters, or how their red flags are something else. Yeah, we all know the obvious ones, but why would I state the obvious?!

TW: F!reader; implied mysogyny; mentions of DV, cheating, and general toxic behavior.

🚩Mikey - proposes on the second date.

🚩Draken - never talks about himself whatsoever. Even when you directly ask him to open up about what's troubling him, he's still difficult and avoids conversation.

🚩Baji - mama's boy. At first, it looks sweet, how he cares about and respects his mother, but soon you realize that he is dependant on her, and cannot make any decisions bigger than what to eat on his own, without "consulting with his mom". Silver lining is that Ryouko is an amazing, lovely woman, but you don't exactly want to date both the mother and the son at the same time, do you?

🚩Chifuyu - overromanticizes everything, then gets mad at you if things don't turn out irl the same they were in his imagination.

🚩Mitsuya - really damn cheap. Like, ok, I know you grew up poor, but going out once a month won't bankrupt you! (You're not even asking him to pay for you or anything like that, but he just refuses to step even one milimeter out of his frugal ways!)

🚩Hakkai - aside from the obvious red flag (you get a package deal of Yuzuha and Mitsuya as well, if you are dating Hakkai), he can also be incredibly self-absorbed and condescending sometimes, thinking he's so much better than you, etc.

🚩Pah-chin & 🚩Peh-yan - putting them together cause they have the same red flag - if you date one of them, the other one will third wheel all of your dates, no exeptions. Might as well just go poly and date them both at this point!

🚩Smiley - refers to women as "females".

🚩Angry - doesn't let you do anything on your own/overprotective. Look, Souya, it's nice that you're being a gentleman, but do you really think I'm incapable of getting a glass of water for myself?! His behaviour can be incredibly stifling and suffocating.

🚩Mucho - won't ever let you pick a date spot cause he's convinced he knows the best. You always end up doing what he wants for dates, or you don't go on a date at all.

🚩Haruchiyo - yeah, sure, he's got more red flags than China, but the not so expected one is that he's incredibly fussy and naggy about the smallest of things. "That's not how you put the trash bag in the can!" "You folded the laundry wrong! Look how I do it!" "Wipe the counter with this, not that!" "Don't leave your hair everywhere! I don't wanna live with a cat!" And so on and so forth, it feels like you are living with your parent(s) all over again!

🚩Hanma - another one with enough red flags to call it a carnival, sure, but the one that catches you off guard is just how jealous and possessive he is. "Where are you going?" "Why is your dress so short?" "You can't go out with male company wearing your tits out!" "Why are you hiding your phone?" "Who's that?" and so on and so forth, you get the idea.

🚩Kazutora - yet another walking red flag in a row (at least his unhealed self), but even as an adult (healed) he still retains that aggression from his teens and gets into random street/bar fights semi-regularly. Him coming back home bloody and bruised is not a rare occurrence at all.

🚩Kisaki - cheats. No idea how he manages to, provided that he looks like... well, that, but he still does.

🚩Taiju - a religious freak prone to domestic violence... what more red flags can you even ask for? None, indeed. But what you don't expect on top of all that is his complete lack of manners and just how loud and embarrassing he can be in public.

🚩Inupi - rude to the waitstaff.

🚩Koko - never got over his ex, stuck on her forever, and cannot ever be fully present in his current relationship. Compares you to his ex all the time, every other person he dated after her was just an unsuccessful rebound.

🚩Izana - does he even have any green ones? Likely not. But what you wouldn't exactly expect from him right away, given all the other red flags that come into front upon the first contact - is that he's a bad mansplainer. "You probably don't know how the betta fish do this thing where..." - Izana, I'm literally a marine biologist.

🚩Kakuchou - breaks up with you over the smallest things. He missed your call cause he didn't hear his phone ring while in the traffic? - He's not good enough for you and you two should break up. He was late 5 minutes to your date because Izana needed his help with something? - He's lowkey ready to commit seppuku, and of course, dramatically breaks up with you. It's tiring, honestly.

🚩Ran - gaslighter and manipulator par exellence! Undiagnozed NPD, but the symptoms are everywhere.

🚩Rindou - loves the gym more than you. Obsessed with working out and body building, won't eat normal food, spends all time in front of the mirror flexing and "checking his gains". Will either try to "get you into fitness" (force you to act the same way he does) or constantly tell you that you "don't understand" just how important it is to him. Is your 10th workout this week really more important than our anniversary, tho, Rindou?

🚩Mocchi - manspreads all the time, and manspreads badly. He's also that type that won't move away from the sidewalk if a woman is coming the opposite way.

🚩Madarame - probably not unexpected, but he's the biggest, worst incel of all. Lives in the manosphere and inhales the alpha bro bullshit podcasts.

🚩South - judges and publicly makes fun of your music taste. It doesn't matter what you listen to, unless it's 101% exactly the same as his taste, he'll be a real bitch about it. Of course, don't even dream about getting a hold of the aux cord!

🚩Shinichiro - doesn't shower regularly. Idk Shin, maybe your lack of personal hygiene was the reason for all those rejections so far? Just some food for thought...

🚩Takeomi - yet another one that's redder than the red army, but what you don't expect is how much he infantilizes you, especially if you are younger than him! Even if it's just one year age difference between you, he'll act all patronizing and constantly emphasise his "rich life experience" and tell you how "you don't understand some things because you are (too) young".

🚩Wakasa - secretly insecure about his height and gets super jealous if he sees you talking to a tall guy. Doesn't even matter if it's your blood relative or a random stranger asking directions in the street - Waka isn't having any of that. He'll sulk and jab at you for the whole day, never saying what the actual problem is.

🚩Benkei - Cannot find/keep a proper job to save his life! Got into some kind of beef with every single potential employer, so he's doomed to working at the gym for the rest of his days.

How would TR boys react to you opening up to them about your abusive family

MIKEY

He doesn't understand and can't quite relate, but he's supportive. He hears you out, listening actively, he's soft and loving, and offers moral and emotional support to the best of his ability. He keeps that confident, protective front, assuring you that he's not gonna let anything bad happen to you ever again, and that no one will ever hurt you in any way, as long as he's alive, but deep down he's now petrified with fear of him hurting you himself accidentally, or when he goes into the 'dark impulse' mode. He might get a bit distant for a while afterwards, or treat you like fine porcelain, until Kenchin and Takemicchi set his mind straight.

DRAKEN

It's really hard for him to relate, as he never had any family to begin with, but having heard your story makes him think that he was actually way better off that way, and should have never felt jealous of the kids who had parents! He'll try his best to understand what it must have been like for you, and he'll of course be considerate and empathetic.

"Sorry if my reactions are not appropriate or I don't know what to say, I just can't even imagine what that must be like! I don't want you to carry that burden alone, so please tell me what I can do for you!"

BAJI

Ryōko has always been strict and stern with him growing up, but no matter how bad he screwed up, she would never ever hit him, or call him names, or threaten to disown him, or anything of that kind. He'd be sooo pissed at your parents for treating you like that, you'd have to physically stop him from calling them from your phone and giving them a piece of his mind! When he's calmed down a bit he takes out his own phone and rings his mom.

"Hey mom, listen! You always wanted a daughter as well, right? How about I bring you one right away?"

"Uhm... Kei, are you aware of the implications of your words just now...?!"

"What. *shrugs* I would've proposed to you anyway."

CHIFUYU

He would just stare in shock, wide-eyed and completely perplexed. Is punching someone's parents ok, even if you've never met them before?! He's devastated and heartbroken by the thought of you going through such horrible experiences, and he's enraged that your own family did that to you. He's also afraid because he doesn't know how to react and how to comfort you in the best way, so in order not to risk hurting your feelings accidentally or triggering you, he just stays silent and pulls you into a loving, comforting embrace. He doesn't know how at this moment, but he will figure it out and make sure that no one ever gives you shit in any way ever again!

KAZUTORA (why is there no yellow highlight option?!)

Fully understands and empathizes 100%! Emotional, verbal, physical, financial... you name the type, he's seen and experienced them all! He'd be like your own personal therapist and support system, all in one! He'd listen carefully to you telling him what you went through and how you feel, and never push you to talk about stuff you are not ready to tell him yet. But he'd always make sure you know he'll always be there to offer comfort and support whenever you need it!

"You never deserved any of that, it was never your fault! You are worthy, you are good enough, there is nothing, and I mean, NOTHING wrong with you, you hear me?! You deserve every bit of love this world has to offer you, and I'll do my part as best as I can!"

MITSUYA

He'd be a bit of a devil's advocate, telling you that you shouldn't harbor hate for your family, that you should try to look at things from a neutral perspective, to realize that they most likely didn't know any better, and that they had unresolved mental issues of their own, and that's why things happened. But his slightly unorthodox reaction actually helps you heal. He'd also be supportive of your decision to cut the contact with your blood family, as he'd more than gladly welcome you into his! Mana & Luna already count you as family anyway!

HARUCHIYO

Another one who would totally understand, and maybe even get lowkey triggered for your sake! If you still haven't gone no contact with your abuser(s), he'll push you to do it.

"Found family is way more important that the blood relations anyway, you cannot choose those. But you have me as family now! And Taichou, he's your family too! (in the good timeline, he instead says Senju is your family, too) And even Mikey and the rest of the gang, they all see you as family. You don't need those scraps back at your childhood home, stop letting them control you, they don't deserve a place in your life!"

Kawaragi Senju - Headcanons

I've been suffering from some bad Senju brainrot recently, and decided to make it everyone's problem, lmao. But I just love her sooo much, she's my favorite female TR character, she's such an adorable little baby, I can't help it, I want to adopt her!!! 😭

Anyways, here:

She was one of those kids that ripped the heads off of their dolls! She got a Barbie as a present for her 5th birthday, but instead of the intended way of playing with it, she "tested" how much it can bend and stretch, so the head popped off in the process. It didn't stop her tho, she continued to play with it, even headless. Until Wakasa fixed it for her with some flextape, but then it lost its charm so she took the head off again.

She's a BIG cuddle bug! She would cling on to her grandma for affection, or to Haruchiyo when they were little, even to Takeomi, although he would most often just turn her down. Haru was always fine with it, since they shared the cradle as babies, until he grew too big for it, so even as toddlers and older, they were kinda used to snuggling with each other. That changed as they were growing up and gaining separate senses of self, as well as he started accumulating resentment towards her because of Takeomi's favoritism.

When Waka & Benkei became her unofficial guardians, she was sooo happy that Waka didn't mind her snuggling up against him during their "family" movie nights, or that Benkei seemed to enjoy giving her piggyback and shoulder rides as much as she did!

Wakasa is her mother figure. Don't @ me, I will gladly die on that hill!

She collects cool rocks, and gets a bit too excited about them, and wants to show them to everybody! She will talk the ear off of anyone willing to listen.

She is very easily excitable, and can talk a bit too loud sometimes. (Another reason why Haru dislikes loud people.)

‌She's incredibly loyal, and mega protective of her friends and loved ones (that much is canon). But she also believes it's her duty to protect all girls and women, and if sees any girl in any kind of distress, she will step in to help. She's like a public service friend! However, she has trouble making actual friends, cause she's shy and socially awkward, believing that people will hate her, even though she doesn't give off that impression.

She hates conflict with a passion, and wants everyone to get along with each other (my poor traumatized baby 💔)! Her views can be a bit too naïve sometimes, but that's just because she has a heart of gold!

Her favorite pastime as a kid was climbing up the trees, to spite Takeomi and tease Haru because he couldn't do it/was too afraid.

She has the absolute best, most flawless, impeccable, mind-blowing fashion sense EVER, that puts to shame Koko, Inupi, Mitsuya, Ran, and Izana combined! But she doesn't bring out her best game until adulthood, when she realizes that fashion is not just a "typically feminine" hobby, that gender stereotypes are trash anyway, and flips off Takeomi for his warped, outdated ideas!

Speaking of which, she most definitely went through a gender identity crisis in adolescence, but she eventually grew out of it and found herself as she healed from her toxic upbringing.

Headcanon - Hanma Shuuji as your boyfriend

Ok, I hate myself for writing this, 'cause I hate this bitch just as much as Pissaki, but I've been fighting my intrusive fluffy thoughts about him and they won, sooo here they are:

Beware of insinuated hetero relationship, f!reader, and common terms of endearment.

He's a flirt, definitely. He knows he gets lots of attention from the fairer sex simply for being tall and good looking, but he also loves the fact that he's a smooth talker and can get pretty much any girl to fall for him. And he's not better than doing just that, simply because he needs some amusement in his life. Talk about being a piece of shit, going around breaking hearts for fun.

‌However, if he genuinely falls for someone, he basically does a 180⁰ turn and is the most loyal lover you could get! He will, most definitely and undeniably, try to make his SO jealous by casually flirting left and right, just because he can, and he enjoys seeing your frustrated, annoyed, jealous face. However, if you get jealous or hurt for real, he will genuinely freak out, and will try his best to reassure you that he loves you and that he was just messing with you. You are the only one for him, after all, his safe haven and his light! If he realizes that he stepped overboard with his "jokes", he will change his behaviour immediately. Idk why, but he just gives me the vibe of someone who perfectly understands boundaries, and he will choose to honor his commitments.

‌He himself is not jealous at all, and no matter what you may do, he wouldn't get jealous. The bastard is just so cocky and aware of his desirability (even tho he overestimates himself quite a lot), it's unnerving! But unless he straight up catches you "red handed" with another guy, he won't be jealous in the slightest. And if that happens, if you do cheat on him, then he might just beat your side piece to a pulp, and walk out on you like you never even existed. He will be heartbroken about it for a long time, tho.

‌Don't do him dirty, even as annoying and flawed as he is, he is still worth it! He can be super loving and affectionate in private, and he will be your no. 1 cheerleader, in whatever you're aspiring to achieve. Tell him all about your adventures tho, he loves a good story!

‌He gets too easily bored, so he would fall head over heels for someone who can engage him in deep and interesting conversations, and be a bit of a tease as well, just enough to always keep him on the edge of his seat, but not to overdo it. After all, he is the tease one in the relationship, and he doesn't like the idea of giving up that title.

‌Speaking of him being a tease... yes, he's absolutely insufferable! In every sense. (Yes, that too!)

‌Dates with him are always so random and spontaneous, like, he'd take you on a bike ride to the beach at 3 AM, and you'd make sand castles in the dead of the night, just because. It's totally not because he's secretly a hopeless romantic and wanted to watch the sunrise with you, btw. Or he might get you out of your school/work just to take you to the rooftop of the highest building in his neighborhood, where you guys can throw water baloons on the passers-by down there, and photograph their reactions. Or you two would be in a middle of a rollercoaster ride and he'd scream into your ear: "Babe, let's go have a picnic in the woods, this ride is boring!" The worst best part - his idea of a "picnic" is pranking hikers by making weird noises. At least one thing is for sure with him - there is never a single dull moment!

‌But even as the chaos elemental that he is, he is actually looking for (inner) peace. He would want to feel safe and taken care of in a relationship, and I can picture him falling for his childhood friend. If not that, then he'd definitely go for the cozy, domestic, girl-next-door type. Despite what he shows to the outer world, he just craves familiarity and warmth.

‌His friend-turned-girlfriend definitely calls him Shuu-chan. He pretends it annoys him, but there's nothing he loves hearing more. And I will die on that hill if need be!

Random Baji Headcanons (final timeline)

Strange are the ways of my mind... Amidst of the hype over Tenjiku Arc getting animated (which is my favorite arc in TR btw) my brain decides to come up with some Baji HC in the final/fixed timeline. Idc where I pulled it from or why now, but I felt the need to share it.

Anyways, enjoy, and as always, don't take it too seriously. If it's triggering for you for any reasons, please skip it and/or block me. I, however, mean no harm:

He still repeated the 7th grade. Some things are simply unchangeable fate, and though the timeline may have been fixed and there were no traumatic experiences for him, his lack of care for school hasn't changed! At least not until it made Ryoko cry with disappointment, then he changed his attitude around for 180⁰.

That's also when he got officially diagnosed with dyslexia. It greatly helped both him and his teachers to adjust the teaching/studying methods to his circumstance. Once that was figured out, he easily became one of the top students. (We all know that bro is naturally super smart!)

After entering uni, he also became a vegetarian, due to his love for animals. His dietary choices actually prompted Chifuyu to up his cooking game, but Kazutora keeps annoying tempting him to eat meat. When they get too loud and too obnoxious arguing, Chifuyu just throws them both out of his apartment and threatens to not cook for them ever again!

Is it just me, or something about about TR anime at this point just feels... idk, kinda off? I mean, aside from all the discrepancies with manga, and the scenes they skipped for no reason. 😑 But somehow, even the opening feels like the song and the video do not match, it looks more like an amateurish YouTube AMV, than an anime opening. Weird. 🤔

And the pacing of this episode was just off. Randomly switching from scene to scene... I'm just getting uncanny vibes, can't really put it into words.

But in any case, the hype is real, I'm still super happy Tokyo Revengers is back, cause my life feels like it finally has a purpose once again! 🥹

I legit let out the nastiest squeal of fangirling when KokoNui showed up in that cringy opening! And I'm sooo excited to see Haru finally getting some real screentime!!! I just hope the studio does justice to his character and presents him the way he should be presented. 'Cause I am livid with the fact that that poor excuse of a failed Wednesday Addams cosplay was given some serious beauty filters, and even the "pretty boy" voice. Such a damn waste... 😑 (Yes, I am aware how much hate I'll get from all y'all Hoetani stans, but I just organically cannot stand them cowardly bitchez!)

Anyhow, we'll see how this season goes... There's still so much to look forward to! 🤞

Rain

Late afternoon air has started getting crisp, the impeding fall gave away its first signs of presence in the dullness of the grass, and lifelessness of the foliage. But Yoyogi park was bustling with people, for some reason, even at that time of the day. Children running around, shouting cheerfully, dogs barking, passers-by strolling briskly staring at their phones, and the old men sitting on the benches chatting.

The sunset red crept through the trees, setting the air ablaze, and clashing with the shy lantern lights slowly getting lit one by one. Western sky was fiery golden, patterned with clouds ranging from crimson purple to light pink, and the grey clouds in the East seemed too distant for the moment.

"A storm coming from the Pacific Coast, huh... " - the smoke he let out in an unamused sigh instantly scattered with a sudden cold gust of wind. A disturbed flock of crows took off, swirling above the ground, cawing. "Yeesh... ominous bastards..."

The man got up from his spot by the pond and started walking back towards the main gate. The twilight had already faded into a pale, dull yellowish afterglow behind the quickly approaching murky grey clouds. The park was already empty, before that even reached his awareness. For some reason, he couldn't shake off the conversation between two little children and their father, that he had overheard some hours earlier.

- Daddy, daddy, can we go to Harajuku later? I want to ride the rollercoaster! - the little girl was pulling on her father's sleeve, giving him the best puppy eyes she could muster.

- No, Haruka, dad has work tomorrow, we have to be home before the dinner. Mom will get worried. - her brother intervened as their father contemplated the response.

- But nii-chaaan...! - she was about to burst into a tantrum, when the father joined in the conversation.

- Alright, alright, but just one ride, ok?! It will rain tonight, we can't stay too long!

The little boy who couldn't have been more than mere two years older than her and tried his best to be a responsible big brother, couldn't hide the sparkles in his eyes at their father's permission.

Every kid who grew up around Shibuya and Shinjuku knew of the small amusement park just a minutes walk from the famous JR station, a hidden gem in this metropolitan jungle, that was still somehow not ruined by popularity.

"Ah, that place... The best caramel popcorn in the world!", the man by the pond reminisced.

As he walked back to the park gate, that salty-sweet memory kept the tight hold of him, and he couldn't really tell if he felt like having some caramel popcorn from that place, or if it was the memory of the time when they were all still a family, two tiny hands clinging onto his own, one sticky with melted cotton candy, one shy and reluctant; memories of the times 'before'. It didn't really matter at that point anymore, since for the longest of times, nothing's been the way it used to be.

He tried cracking the lighter multiple times, but the strong moist wind was unforgiving to the weak flame.

"Ah, fuck it!", gesticulating in frustrated resignation, he sped up his pace as the light drizzle turned into pouring rain. The black limousine was already waiting for him accross the street. The chauffer quickly opened the door the moment he spotted him crossing the tracks.

As soon as the car door was shut after him, the quickly approaching sound of sirens got his attention. An ambulance van followed by two police cars rushed past them, splashing the dirty running stream onto the limousine. The guy at the wheel noticed his superior's frowning reaction in the back mirror.

- Where to, sir?

- What was that? - lightly gesturing in the direction in which the ambulance and the police disappeared, he tried lighting a cigarette once again.

- Ah, well... that matter has been taken care of, sir. Just like you instructed. - the chauffer responded as he flicked his own lighter and lit the man's cigarette.

- Hmm... I see. - he smirked triumphantly through the exhaled smoke, pausing for a few moments to enjoy the apparent good news. - Drive to the headquarters.
