Dreamer Household: Year 1, Round 1 - Spring

Since Darren's Lifetime Want is to reach level 10 in the Education career, he took a job as an elementary school teacher. Unfortunately, this means he won't have as much time to paint, but I don't see him as a full-time painter anyway. After school, Dirk asked his girlfriend, Lilith, out on a date. They only have one bolt of chemistry, so I don't think they'll stay together for long, but they seem happy for now.

As a Fortune Sim, Dirk kept rolling wants related to making money, so he got a part-time job in the Culinary career as a dishwasher. However, his career was short-lived. He was asked to help with the cooking, but he refused because, well, he can’t cook, and that’s how he got fired on his first day. When he got home, he was very upset, so to cheer him up, Darren played video games with him. Then Lilith came over, and the two of them spent a few hours talking and hanging out. The cheering-up efforts were successful, so Dirk regained his motivation and found another job, this time in the Journalism career, which seems to be going much better. He earned two promotions, putting him at the top of the part-time Journalism career track! But since he was busy with work and didn't want to study anymore, his grades started to slip…

Meanwhile, Darren went to the diner for lunch and to meet new people since he needs one more friend to get a promotion. However, the diner was so busy that Sims could barely move, so he introduced himself to a couple of people and then went home. That night, a wolf showed up in their front yard, and he spent half the night befriending her. Darren as a werewolf? I like that idea. Plus, I think befriending the wolf might count towards his promotion too!

Dirk finally decided to focus on school and aim for private school, so he started studying and catching up on homework. However, this meant he was regularly late for school because he either slept in or was furiously finishing his homework in the morning. But the big day arrived: the headmaster was coming over for dinner at 5 pm. Darren and Dirk did everything they could; they even got a 100 score out of 90, but sadly, Dirk's D+ wasn't enough, and his application was rejected.

By the way, Darren didn't roll a single want related to Cassandra. Yikes!

Broke Household: Year 1, Round 1 - Spring

Soon after Beau's birthday, Brandi went into labor and gave birth to her first daughter, Everleigh Broke (pun intended). She rolled a want to get married, so she went shopping - not just for a husband, but also for two video games for the boys. She didn't meet anyone, so she payed 2,000 Simoleons (half of their household funds) to the Matchmaker, who set her up with Malcolm Landgraab! Money well spent, Brandi.

They went on a couple of dates and are now going steady, but neither of them is happy about it since they're both secondary Romance Sims. The next time she invited Malcolm over, they had their first woohoo. Then Brandi rolled a want to get engaged to him, so she asked him to marry her. Right after the woohoo, next to the bed, and in underwear… So I'm not surprised he said no, but ouch for our desperate Brandi. By the way, I don't think they're a great match, but let's see what happens.

After the rejection, she visited the spa to unwind and look for a better husband. She met Gilbert Jacquet there, but she still wanted to get engaged to Malcolm. On the last day of spring, she even rolled a want to have a baby, so she invited Malcolm over again and is now pregnant by him. Whoops. She also started painting, but she's only made 2 Simoleons so far, so I have an idea why she wants Malcolm so badly lol.

Meanwhile, Dustin wanted to do better at school and work, so he got an A+ and two promotions. He's now at the highest level of the part-time Criminal career. Since Brandi was busy searching for a husband, he was looking after Everleigh most of the time. She aged up to a toddler and, sadly, looks a lot like Skip. Beau's also an A+ student and is obsessed with playing his violin.

The season ended with Brandi struggling with her pregnancy and almost having a miscarriage. I have to take better care of her! I'm also thinking of moving Malcolm to Rosebury and adding him to the rotation since he will be a father soon. He probably won't marry Brandi and might fight for the custody of their child.

Lothario Household: Year 1, Round 1 - Spring

After Don left Cassandra and her fortune at the altar, he desperately needed a roommate. Since Dina got married, Nina was looking for a new place, and that’s how she moved in with Don. Is it a good idea for two romance Sims to live together? We'll see.

This rotation was boring. All they did was meet new people, go on dates, and woohoo. Surprisingly, not with each other.

Nina got a job in the Slacker career, and the next day, she already got a promotion. She also had to repair their broken TV and computer, which earned her a mechanical point and another promotion! She's now at level 3 and works as a convenience store clerk, but since she doesn't have a degree, she won't be able to progress beyond level 5. Don's ready for a promotion too.

In her free time, Nina practiced throwing punches on the punching bag, since her Lifetime Want is to win fights against 20 different Sims. She went out looking for trouble and won a fight against a townie. 19 more to go.

At one point, a lightning strike set the driveway on fire, but Don extinguished it like a pro. His Lifetime Want is to woohoo with 20 different Sims, and he’s woohooed with 4 so far.

In the next rotation, I need to spice things up. I’m thinking of upgrading Don’s telescope so he has a chance of getting abducted by aliens. Don as the father of an alien would be an interesting twist!

P.S. I love their facial expressions sooo much.

Caliente Household: Year 1, Round 1 - Spring

Dina fulfilled her want of getting married to a rich Sim by tying the knot with Mortimer on the sidewalk, just as the scripted event suggested. They moved into a mansion together and booked a vacation to Takemizu Village, but the honeymoon was a disaster. All Dina wanted to do was use the sauna and get massages, while Mortimer was only interested in drinking tea and tending the zen garden, so they were constantly going their separate ways. Also, they weren't following my commands, so I was really struggling to keep their needs high enough.

When I finally got them to sit down for a meal at a restaurant, a local stole Mortimer's food! When he ordered another, it never came, and he had to settle for a snack from a vending machine. The next morning, they ordered breakfast at their hotel's restaurant, but the waiter dropped the plate of food on Dina! And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Dina got her period, making it even harder for me to manage her needs.

Despite everything, Mortimer wanted to go on a historic walking tour, and Dina (probably reluctantly) agreed. They ended up losing the tour guide but decided to wait at the bus, which earned them a charisma point - the only good thing that happened on the trip so far.

After waking up the next morning, they had a huge fight. They fell out of love and were furious with each other, so Dina left Mortimer at the hotel and went out to collect vacation mementos all by herself. Even though she got pickpocketed by the Unsavory Charlatan, she finally had some fun: she learned the local gesture and even learned to teleport from a ninja. While digging for treasure maps, she found two treasure chests worth 10,000 Simoleons instead! Seems like Mortimer was bringing the bad luck lol. Since they were still furious with each other, he had to sleep on a couch at the reception.

On the last day of the vacation, Dina finally found the map to the secret lot, and since their anger had decreased a bit, they visited it together. I didn't know that tossing a coin into the decorative well did anything, but Mortimer got 1,000 Simoleons for it! And that was it, because the Wise Old Man was bugged, so they couldn't hear the legend from him.

After arriving home, their fighting continued and Dina had enough. She locked Mortimer in an empty room... Whoops. I feel bad for him, but this seems like exactly how Dina would handle the problem. She probably planned to do this all along.

While Mortimer was starving to death, Dina went out to look for another rich victim husband. She met Connor Weir and Ramir Patel from Belladonna Cove, both of whom she has two bolts of chemistry with. She went on a couple of dates with Connor since Ramir is married. Connor played hard to get, but eventually they fell in love. Meanwhile, poor Mortimer passed away and Dina fake-cried a little. She also fulfilled her gold digger Lifetime Want!

After Mortimer's "unexpected" death, she asked Connor to move in and go steady with her. Since he's a Family Sim, he already wants to get engaged to Dina, so I bet they'll be having babies soon!

In the meantime, Dina opened a home business: her very own flower shop. She doesn't make much money from it, so she definitely still needs a rich husband lol. Connor works in the Business career, so hopefully he will bring in the bucks.

P.S. I use PlumbTales' lots for the vacation destinations, and they are absolutely gorgeous and a lot of fun to play!

Goth Household: Year 1, Round 1 - Spring

Welcome to Rosebury! Rosebury is a custom neighborhood created by me, with all the premade neighborhoods added as subhoods. I’ve moved some premade households to the main neighborhood and play them rotationally, but only them. Sims from the subhoods are treated as townies, and played Sims can befriend or romance them - or worse. Here, I share pictures and stories of their lives, so I can keep track of where I left off when I take breaks. Feel free to join me on this journey! I started with the Goths, thus Cassandra and Don's wedding. Unfortunately (or fortunately for Cassandra's sake), Don left her at the altar. While Cassandra went into aspiration failure, Mortimer lectured Don. To make things worse, Mortimer married Dina and abandoned his family, even Alexander. Wow. Anyway, the next day Darren invited Cassandra to the skating rink. As soon as they arrived, she rolled a want to fall in love, which wasn't hard to do since they have 3 bolts of chemistry and were already good friends. Then she also rolled a want to get engaged to him, so she either moved on quickly or, as a family Sim, she really wants a baby. Or both. I had them go steady and locked in the engagement want. They didn't do much skating but certainly woohooed in Cassandra's car.

After returning from the date at 2 AM, the ghosts set some bushes on fire, so poor Cassandra didn’t get much sleep before work. While she was away, Alexander did his homework and became friends with Daniel Bell. The next day, Cassandra worked on her skills to get a promotion and is now a science teacher! She also threw a surprise birthday party for Alexander, who grew up to be a primary Family, secondary Knowledge Sim, just like his big sister. After aging up to a teen and enjoying the birthday cake, they played some Don't Wake the Llama with the guests. Meanwhile, the ghosts set the bushes on fire again and everyone panicked, but the party was still a good time lol. Now Alexander wants to fall in love and go steady with someone, so on the last night of spring, he went to the local club but had no luck finding love. Maybe next time.
