my babysitter’s a vampire is literally the most iconic televison program to date !!!!! try to tell me that if that shit was on a different network it wouldn’t have blown tf up and outsold all your faves it had miss teen wolf SHAKING !!!!!! we had supportive friendships, a badass black biracial female lead who was caring, smart, and empathatic and still got shit done. AND she got out of an abusive relationship. plus her friendship with erica outsold all of ur girl power ships. three loveable geeks who always did some dumb shit but fixed the problem in the end !!!!! that scene where ethan’s dad thought benny and ethan were dating and he didn’t even care !!??!! legendary. the theme song was a whole ass bop !!!! speaking of muse-a-tronics outsold with their smash hit ‘we want cake’. not only had a movie but a show ! a badass jewish grandma who was an EARTH PRIESTESS (not a witch as she says) who was better than literally all of ur faves and kept shit in line. those mfs even did the void!stiles storyline before teen wolf…… iconic lines and orignal plots…. mbav was paid dust and will rise again !!!!!!

anti-racism resource post for twilight fans

back when midnight sun was officially announced, i wrote a post talking about my experience as a white fan of the series, back when i was younger and as i’ve grown and educated myself and interacted with the fandom more and more. now that tumblr lets you pin a post, i wanted to make a new post for resources, because the original post is a lot to scroll through and i wanted the links to be more accessible + easier to find.

under the cut is links to learn about racism (both in general and specifically anti-native, as that is the largest issue present in the twilight books), ways to help, and links to check out various native creators that deserve your support. always open to suggestions of links to add, in any of the categories. if i have linked your post/blog/website/etc. and you do not want it linked, please let me know and i will remove it asap. updated often.

If Vampire Bella wasn't super fucking overpowered as fuck, she would've killed that hiker. Can you imagine how that scene would have gone? Bella absolutely losing it over the body of the man she just murdered, inconsolable as Edward tries desperately to tell her "it's okay, it happens to all of us" and that's when she realizes how much shes ACTUALLY sacrificed for this. She has now killed a man for this. Charlie is going to be out here looking for his body, talking to his family, staying up late, hoping THIS MAN, the one Bella MURDERED, is out there somewhere.

She never really understood why Edward is the way he is, why theres an oppressive layer of negativity draped over everything he does. Now she knows. It's because she'll carry the weight of this one dead man forever. And Edward has killed hundreds. Theres no forgiveness, and no going back, and suddenly, it makes sense why Edward was worried for the state of her soul.
