If a stranger sends you a message or an Ask out of the blue, colloquially known as a "cold call", it's a scam. Period. End of discussion. It's literally no different from all the scam calls you get in your phone.

It doesn't matter if they say their GoFundMe is verified, or how many cute pictures of their cat they share, or how horribly desperate and LGBTQ they say they are.

It is a scam.

They will post stolen pictures of starving, injured, or even dead children. They will post the most heart-wrenching and guilt-tripping story you've ever read. They will BEG you to save them. They will try to appeal to you as a "fellow LGBTQ person" or "as someone who cares". They will say "Don't scroll by my plea for help, I'll be homeless tomorrow".

It is a scam. They are manipulating you.

Report them as spam, block them, and remind yourself you are not a bad person for refusing to believe lies.

And if you really want to make yourself feel better, go donate to an actual charity that actually helps people.

I adore the idea of some sort of lenses built into his mask, but also- contact lenses would be such a funny consideration. Mainly just the idea of him struggling to put in a contact while shits being destoried by evil in the bg.

oh god I forgot contact lenses existed. I have astigmatism so they’re not a good option for me BSHFJF

So I actually imagine his mask having something corrective in it. The glasses won’t fit beneath and they’d get scratched, but he is blind as a bat and cannot go without. That was the solution, as glasses aren’t practical for combat. Dedede loves the glasses on him, though.

Hmm hmm hmm… let’s see:

A silly one would be that they play chess together almost daily—and that despite the fact that Meta is almost uncannily good everything he does, he cannot beat Dedede to save his life. He’ll win sometimes, but not often. It drives him insane, because he HATES to lose. Dedede also kicks his ass at arm wrestling.

A more serious one is that I think they both kind of had the mindset that they’d never love again you know? Meta kind of resigned himself to a life of solitude, Dedede was too crushed after everything (vague for spoilers sorry). Falling in love for both of them was way more of a “oh fuck, fuck this shit” thing than a butterflies and roses thing. But then actually being together kind of is butterflies and roses, even if neither of them would admit it :)

Okay, what are some things you dislike about the anime?

(I'll just open what I assume are the floodgates and enjoy the ride B] )

below the cut I lied so hard, I'm so sorry. the dedede part isn't short at all.

I'll make my part with dedede as short as I can cause this has been repeated god knows how much, but like, it smeared his character. he stole all the food one time and the anime turned up this villain thing to 100. I'm talking selling his waddle dees (tiff compared this to slavery which, made me so uncomfortable), cutting down all of whispy woods for a golf course, stealing dyna blade's chick, terrorizing the citizens, polluting dreamland, That One Episode with escargoon, etc etc. he and meta knight have parallel arcs in game (is that what it is? parallel?) but somehow meta knight ended up being one of the good guys, with the halberd instead being used to defeat nightmare, and dedede ended up being completely unlikeable, abusing his waddle dees throughout the anime who he CLEARLY cares for in game. and ALSO working WITH nightmare even though the WHOLE GAME WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING BECAUSE DEDEDE DIDN'T WANT NIGHYMARE TO INVADE THE FOUNTAIN OF DREAMS. DEDEDE STILL HELPED DEFEAT HIM IN THE END EVEN AFTER GETTING HIS ASS KICKED BY KIRBY. LIKE HE WAS A MAJOR CONTRIBUTION (I love meta knight in the anime, he's so goofy. but this point kinda bugs me. to me, it feels as if dedede's support was just shifted to meta knight instead)

also no meta-knights. just sword and blade. I don't have a problem with those two, I just wish the whole crew was there.

okay I lied again I do have ONE gripe with meta knight's character and that's WE DONT SEE HIM ENOUGH. in most episodes he's just there to move the plot forward. the episodes centered around him were peak imo. but I wanted more from him. same with the gsa in general. I wanted more silica, more knuckle joe, more kid cosmos..

and. this is more of a fandom thing, but since the anime is one of the few pieces of media we here these guys talk, it is a little tiring to see the same things said when I post art with kirby or dedede. you know, "clobber that there kirby," "I am a superstar warrior," "kirby can't talk this is so cursed"...this is a petty point, but I'm still putting this on here since the anime is a part of it.

This doesn't mean I absolutely hate the anime with every fiber of my body. there are some parts I enjoy, but unfortunately I am biased towards A Certain Character and the anime's portrayal of him does make it a little less enjoyable
