Ludwig's passion for soccer is so good and genuine because, seriously, is the only thing he cannot hide.

I was thinking about the Christmas match between him and Arthur during the WWI and, leaving aside the legend and real history, I realized that there were no guarantees that Ludwig would agree to play.

Like: you've been preparing for this war for years, since you were born, you're so dejected and hypervigilant but your enemy, a man so strong that if you lose to him you'll literally never recover, throws you a ball of rangs and you… just consent, even if it's snowing and you are awfully tired... because you are so young, love soccer and your opponent is so "big brother coded" that maybe you can be silly for a day if he says it's okay
