Thank you for this @silverynight. Someone helped my heart settle a bit. Whether or not it’s canon, it gave me a sense of closure in that at least Izuku expressed himself in a way I was hoping the manga would do since he woke up after the war. To me, some part of him seems closed off-not just to the other characters-but to us as the readers, so aside from the bkdk ship, it was like I didn’t know this character anymore. Maybe that was the point? Idk, but still…I’m glad to have been along for the My Hero Academia ride. It truly has been a wonderful anime.

Kirishima is not wrong, but he's not exactly right either; Katsuki's offer is just another way to remind Izuku all the things they dreamed of as kids. They had always wanted to work together; kicking villain's asses side by side. But Katsuki also wants an excuse to see him every single day.

He hoped Izuku could understand that, but he either doesn't or maybe he simply refuses to acknowledge it.

Either way. It hurts.

Small pops crackled on his palms, making him look out of place in the calm of the coffee shop. Beside him, Izuku (from Year 2996) ever the innocent—yet oblivious—soul, tried to placate him. He practically had to rip the blond away from a smug-looking Shindo before he committed spectacular homicide.

"Kacchan,” Izuku brimmed with concern. "It’s really not that big of a deal—”

"He acted like you’re fuckin’ his!" Kats22 raged—turning a few patron heads toward them at the outburst.

I'm just gonnna say it since the manga is almost over. If bakudeku isn't canon by the end of the series, I am begging all of you guys to do one thing.

Do not, under ANY circumstance, try to frame it as Horikoshi queerbaiting or intentionally being homophobic.

Would it be a more satisfying payoff to their character arcs? Yes.

Is the currently foreshadowed boy-meet-girl lazy romance one of the weakest parts of MHA's writing? Yes.

But you cannot assume that Hori has genuinely considered bkdk in a romantic context, or that Jump would even allow it. There's a lot built for an intimate relationship between Bakugou and Deku but unless Hori says that's where the story is going and then backs out that does not count as queerbaiting.

If the manga ends and the entire fandom devolves into just that argument, I will not forgive you guys. I'm just asking you guys to use just a fraction of the brain power you apply to bakudeku meta posts to this possibility.

One day I came across a Mexican fonk and the following picture appeared before my eyes: After the war, Izuku was very upset that he no longer received the emotions that he received with his quirk, and Kacchan suggested going to Mexico as a “vacation” with the words “I will arrange unforgettable days for you” , implying interesting trips on quests, etc. In the end, everything didn’t go according to plan and they rob a bank in Mexico 😂

I’m gonna miss seeing the BNHA fandom pop up on my feed so frequently. As crazy as we all are, everyone definitely was inspired or moved by the series in some way. WE ARE ‘STILL’ HERE! I LOVE YOU SHITTY EXTRAS! THE MANLIEST FANDOM OF ALL TIME!

I'm sorry for taking two weeks off! My schedule has been a bit of a mille-feuille due to various scheduling conflicts! There are only five more chapters to go.
